Hello, for anyone reading this review… please know that it is factual and true. I have NEVER posted a poor review in my life, but this doctor and his receptionist was EXTREMELYRUDE!!! I scheduled an appointment for a eye exam and the young lady appeared to initially be kind and competent. A day before my scheduled appointment, I received a call that the doctor would be out of town on vacation. I told the receptionist it was not a problem and to reschedule me for another day. I rearranged my schedule and was at my appointment on time. I waited over an hour to be seen. Once seen, the doctor was nice… but that quickly turned to being nasty once I asked for my prescription. He simply did not want to give it to me. The receptionist told me that I didn’t have a right to it. Umm… I do have a right to my prescription. They just didn’t want to give it to me because they wanted me to purchase glasses there. The sad part is that I had planned on doing so, but not after being talked down to and treated like a criminal. I was extra disappointed because I expected more from a black owned business. I called back later to garner my PD so I could order glasses on line and received the same treatment. Most eye doctors are happy to give it to you. The conversation eneded with him calling me an «asshole». I have NEVER experienced such ignorance in my life. If I could rate them as having NOSTARS… I would!!! #gooutofbusiness #learncustomerserviceskills #nowords

I’ve been knowing dr. Craig Carter for many years. I started being seen by him years ago when he was on Slauson & Crenshaw inside the plaza. He’s very thorough and in tuned with his patients. So much that I’ve referred people as much as possible. Oh yea and his assistant is so great & extremely helpful.

In an age of hurry up and wait for hours beyond your appointment time, Dr. Carter is head and shoulders above the rest! If he’s a little behind, he comes out to let you know. Then, when you think it’s going to be an in and out type of visit, the thoroughness assures you that whatever the diagnosis, it’s the right one. Thank you for taking care of my eyes for the future of sight.

Ok. When my children were brought to this facility immediately I realized they were not kid friendly. My kids were fascinated with the neon light in the window and began touching the lights and was verbally attacked by the receptionist. The word attacked seem so harsh but its how I felt initially. I was called in almost immediately by the doctor but me being the only pt at the time it didnt wow me that I recieved such prompt service. The doctor was nice but expected my children to be perfect in a sense. Theyre boys and silence is almost impossible and I noticed everything they did was scrutinized by him and it sort of pissed me off. However, I felt he did a great job with my eye exam. Upon check out I was initially told I wasnt covered by my insurance but that was quickly retracted when the receptionist realized she was looking at the wrong chart. I had to pay 100 for my glasses, which shocked me and the visit ended in a professional manner. I guess I gave 3 stars because my son ripped a page from one of their books in the waiting area and I felt kinda bad but I otherwise would have given this place 2 stars for customer service and 3 for competency. Im not a big complainer but this place can do much better.

Dr. Carter is great! He’s very thorough and explains everything to you. The receptionist is super friendly and funny! They just did a little remodel and the place looks great! The chairs are super comfortable! My daughter’s been going here for years and it was a no brainer when I needed to pick an eye doctor!
