do not eat here. live bug crawling across my table while i ate lunch. it literally crawled from under my plate. the store manager did nothing and still forced me to pay. horrible service.

Horrible service, unsanitary serving conditions. Cups and plates came out dirty or with dried food stuck to the sides. Management had a cavalier attitude and was very argumentative which was very disappointing. A bug crawled from under our food and the manager just threw a stack of napkins on the table and said there was nothing he could do and it was out of his control. He made no effort to clean the area or refresh the food and expected us to eat it. The meal remained untouched. DO NOT EAT HERE. I repeat DO NOT EAT HERE. It was just awful.

Not like it was the first time. The fried rice and noodles were scorched. The prices are really low. The only thing I liked was the sweet and sour shrimp.

I am a regular here I LOVE THE FOOD, And they are so Nice, The restaurant is always clean and the Food is ALWAYS FRESH, I go so much that my daughter made friends with the owners grandson Peter, My daughter has special needs (autism) and he always makes sure that the order is exactly to her liking. The tables are a bit outdated but cleanliness is all that matters to me. VERY KIND, VERY CLEAN, VERY GOOD FOOD

literally live walking distance from this place and from the moment I walked in I have never been disappointed! the customer service is amazing and this is no under the light «they don’t make it until you order it». I love the shrimp and broccoli sautéed in lobster sauce for only $ 8 it is so amazing as well as there house chow mien with shrimp and chicken inside. This place is always crowded and fresh once you get it home!!! Love Love Love take a chance on them. Very affordable.

Careful the food there is made with MSG, I called em to ask and one of the attendants confirmed that they use msg. This is despite not having any sort is signage that let’s patrons know that they use msg.

The Chinese food here is garbage. Don’t waste your money, might as well have a T.V. Dinner or a cup-​o-​noodles because you will be extremely disappointed. Save your gas, save your money & don’t come. You’re welcome :)

The Food is good but you need to get rid of the old waiter cant understand one word he says besides WATER. I almost felt like buying him some crayons and some paper so he can draw whatever he was trying to say! NEW WAITER PLEASE ASAP!!!

Update: I added a star because yeah it’s not the best neighborhood, but when I felt uncomfortable to go outside by myself, the nice young man there walked me with my food all the way to my car. 5 stars for great kindness and service. Oh and their Three Delicacies Sizzling Rice Soup is very tasty!
I would normally never go to anywhere that has 2 and a half stars on their page, but the bf is sick and I wanted to get some kind of soup and something close. Since this place was the closest, I started to read through the reviews and realized that most of the complaints were about the service. Since I was just going to pick up anyway, I decided to give them a try anyway.
The service was great. The guy who answered the phone was polite and spoke english fluently. He was able to answer all my questions and take my order. He said it would be ready in 25 mins and we hung up. All went well.
It took me 2 minutes to get there, my food was ready, he hooked me put with hot sauces and fortune cookies and I was out the door. No problems at all.
I ordered the bbq pork noodle soup for the bf that we made spicy hoping it would help with the cold. I got the house special chow mein which has beef, chicken, bbq pork and shrimp in it. I think there was only like 2 shrimps, but that’s fine. The portion was HUGE! Also got the Kung Pao chicken and a small side of steamed rice. Those portions were huge too. the lid to the steamed rice didn’t close because they hooked it up! This was shared between me and a friend and I swear there is enough leftover food to get me through lunch for the next 3 days! That is seriously a lot of food! The food was greasy, but thats expected from chinese food right? All of it was very good. I have to say I was a bit nervous ordering here because of the reviews, but Im glad I did because it’s super close by. Im giving them 4 stars because the service was great and the food was better than expected. I see everyone talking about the house fried rice so Im looking forward to getting that sometime. Overall, I had a great experience and think they should get some credit for that. Food rating would have been 3 stars, but I made it 4 for the really nice guy who helped me. Maybe they are trying to do better by their customers since they have so many bad reviews. Who knows, but the place was pretty busy when I went to get my food. It can’t be that bad if it’s still that busy.

Sure the place needs to be revamped BUT their food is great! My whole family has been coming here for give or take 15 years now. We love it! Can’t beat the their prices for the quality of food. Their War Wonton soup is the best!

My family took me here — i offered to buy as well; so we wanted to get more food for our money. They high recommand this place; don’t get turned away by their «non-​fancy» appeal — the food was very good and fully of course (you’re eating chinese food). The food was hot and i didn’t have any issue; once again don’t look for anything over the top here and they have a tiny TV siting on a small table near the back or front (i guess it depend which way you are looking).
Reading previous reviews — so i guess you might be takinga risk here but i at least can tell you my experience was pretty ok.

A friend of mine recommend this place to me so I thought I would give them a try. The dining area of the restaurant appear to be clean, customer service was ok. I order the vegetable chow mein, vegetables egg rolls, orange chicken, and sweet and sour shrimps on 10÷30÷14 to go. The orange chicken and sweet and sour shrimps were over cooked (hard as a rock), I could not eat it. I cant believe they serve it to me, I was highly upset, $ 31.00 wasted. I really wanted to tell my friend the was great but I couldn’t. However, the egg rolls and chow mein was good.

So this is my Chinese spot… now food is good, they service u cans of sodas no fountain drinks BUT chairs tables floors looks so old and dirty… hmm so if I close my eyes and don’t look around and just concentrate on food alone. you’ll be good!!!

About 6 months ago lived down the street from Chu’s Garden so decided to give it a try. Food was fairly good just usually was a long wait even after calling in order. Found it a bit strange the first time I went there and I asked for a takeout menu and was told they didn’t have any. I have since relocated but was in vicinity of Chu’s and saw they had a «B» rating. Called about 2 days ago to inquire why they had a «B». Man on phone told me, «I don’t know. I wasn’t here that day they came.» I asked to speak to a manager so I could find out about the letter grade and he told me the manager wasn’t there and hung up in my face. I called right back — this time a woman answered and I told her someone was very rude and just had hung up on me and I asked for the manager’s name and she told me she didn’t know. I asked her how could she work there and not know the name and she then hung up on me. I called back next day hoping to speak to a manager and a lady (not sure if same one) hung up on me again when I asked to speak to manager. Since I could get no where in speaking to someone I felt compelled to write a review about what occurred. Will never ever patronize this place again.
Take a look at other reviews stating service is unprofessional, staff is bitter, awful customer service. Think that says it all.

After coming to this restaurant for almost 2 yrs last night I received the most horrible service ever! I had hair in my orange chicken and the customer service was very unprofessional instead of trying
To rectify the situation the server/​cashier made or worse by trying to offer me 2 fortune cookies.

I Love Chinese food! This is by far my favorite place for Chinese food… The place is old and the staff is a bit bitter and the customer service is awful but the food is authentic and tasty!!! I recommend sea food vegetable soup and Chus garden special! I love this place wish the staff was more friendly and more fluent!!! Great prices!

I’m just fan of their great tasting fried rice. The custumer service their really sucks! Last time I went, the lady had to stop me to get back the food because it was the wrong order. I am really disappointed, she didn’t even say sorry, may be because she did not how to say it!
Update: this is my good Chinese food place, but after what happened last time I went I never go there again. I knew I money in my bank and the fat Chinese guy charged me. He said do you have another way of paying your card was declined then I called my bank and clearly told me I have enough. Then I said to try it again and he refused what an asshole then I started yelling at him and clearly showed him I had money in my card. But fuck it I flicked him off then left never to return here. I would give this place a ⁰⁄₅ now

We were patrons for about 18 years — since about the time they first opened, and knew those owners. They were always so friendly, their customer service was great, and the food was great. Throughout the years it got a little run down, but the service and food kept us coming every weekend for years.
But then we noticed staff changes, and suddenly the place we loved we sort of just tolerated. But things just got increasingly bad that we couldn’t continue eating there.
The food now is disgusting. We’ve gotten overcooked, somewhat cold food. I’ve called in orders and told to pick up in 40 minutes (used to be 20, tops), and when I got there 45 minutes later, they then decided to make me wait another 45 minutes. I saw people come in and leave within that time. When I complained to the guy, he didn’t even apologize, he only shrugged and said that was business. Well I’ve since taken my business elsewhere, thank you very much!
