This place is THE place if you want genuine cocktail in an intimate space, yet with people who care about what they make, despite the location. I am upset I am just finding out and expect to be here all the time. It’s about quality people.

I went to a baby shower for a friend last week and the mix they had was from Middlebar. It was one of the most unique and best tasting Bloody Mary’s and Margarita’s I’ve ever tasted. Can’t wait to try their food in person.

This place is the real deal. Let me break this down for you… FOODQUALITY: It’s SUPERB. The owners Corrie and Renie are all about the details. They believe that in order to serve quality — one has to buy, grow, cultivate good quality. All their menu items are carefully thought out — crafted with the best ingredients and change with whatever is in season. Lately — the breakfast sandwich is my obsession. Homemade biscuit with … well let’s just start with the biscuit… It’s the perfect biscuit. Truly. It come piping hot from the oven and it is butter and soft inside and PERFECTLY flakey on the outside. Each day Chef Alex has a different butter or spread to pair with the biscuit if you are buying them a la carte. Sorry — back to the breakfast sandwich. So the amazing biscuit has stacked on it a farm raised egg perfectly poached with braised collard greens and BACONJAM. Really? Need I say more? I myself get the bacon jam on the side and then use the excuse that there is too much bacon jam left over that can’t go to waste so I get another biscuit. But that’s just me. CHEFALEX: He is so f’n talented, charming and the perfect match for the owners of Middlebar. He takes complete pride in his love for food and beverages. He makes me smile anytime I see him. Beside being wicked talented in the kitchen he is also super witty and dedicated to this restaurant. AMBIANCE: Corrie, Renie, Alex and a a few others constructed a BEAUTIFUL space in Inglewood. Come on people — they stained the wood tables and counters in their own pickled vinegar recipes. It’s GENIUS!!! This is what I am saying — they bring innovative ideas to the table presented in old school vibe of pleasing the customer. It’s an experience. GOGOGO to Middlebar. It’s truly extraordinary.
