Make sure that you double check your tax return returns as over the last 7+ yeRs I have now caught 2 errors done by this company.
This year, I presume Sheila has built her client base up so large that her clients has OUTGROWN her because, her professionalism has surprisingly went out the door!
While most years, I would of rated this company a 4 star… I have a totally sadden & disappointing experience for 2016.
Why? Well, have a seat… this is about to be a wordy review.
Feb 3. 2016 I emailed
all documents for predation of my tax return can begin. Feb 4 Upon response asking have I paid via PayPal, I submitted my payment in order for preparation to get started (apparently, she was not going to start on preparing my tax return until payment was received FIRST). Ok so Payne t submitted via PayPal in the amount of $ 120 (for Long Form Tax Filing).
Now due to me being out of stay I emailed all documents submitted & ALL communication is normally & UNFORTUNATELY… via email. Which sadly there was a lot of going back & forth in emails.
With this being said, 11Feb Sheila finally emailed my draft of my 2016 Tax Return and due to all the detailed information I provided, me itemizing and etc… I was really surprised that I owed $ 40 to IRS (as I have never in any of my years — owed) & was barely getting a return back. Needless to say I had concerns so, I called 6times and phone would either be busy OR I could NEVER reach her. Instead, someone would answer & suggest that I email her my questions. So after a few days of her not responding to my emails that said CALL ME & me get a reply that says «Not able to call but you can e-​mail any questions»
Disappointed that I could not verbally converse w/​her I did as suggested & emailed my (2)
Items I noticed that needed to be revised & (8) concerns/​questions…
I was already stoke upon her 1^st reply but, when I received the 2^nd reply from Sheila which read
«Sorry, I do not understand your question, if you need consultation I can refer you to the tax doctor, Kevin at 323−292−5407 or
» I was freaking levied & burning up because now, it’s Feb 18^th.
Not only had I paid her for services 16 priori but, she was not concerned & professional enough to see where the error was, nor courteous to address my issues for MY MONEY! I was beyond pissed but, maintained my composure throughout the ordeal… I mean… well, what else could I do. She’s 1917mikes away & I can’t even get her on the phone to rectify my tax concerns.
Anywho…she sent me The Tax Doctors contact info, I was afraid to contact him because, again I’m in Georgia & I didn’t even know him (KEVIN). After thinking in it… the next day I called Kevin & gave him the run down on the ½ ass & unprofessional service Sheila was given & addressed my concerns… he was 1) puzzled WHY Sheila was utilizing all California tax return Doc’s instead of Georgia Which is where I reside 2) he discovered other errors which she had made as well.
Turns out, Kevin with THE TAX DOCTOR redrafted my return & I actually was getting money return instead of owing as Sheila had drafted.
Needless, to say I sent an professional email requesting a refund. The most quickest response, I received was in 1−2hrs (verses days/​weeks) her replying saying refund issued.
After being referred to The Tax Doctor by Sheila Mc Daniel who had been doing my taxes for more than 7years now (because she did not have time to call me to answer my concerns & discuss the draft of the tax document…) I will NO LONGER be utilizing her Sheila Mc Daniels tax services due to her surprisingly unprofessionalism which I experienced this year!
After being referred to Kevin because, this is my last time seeking her services.
1) Kevin was reachable via phone & I was able to speak to him the very SAME DAY 2) I called & emailed him my concerns which I previously addressed to Sheila McDaniel that where disregarded, ignored and I was pushed off.
Kevin came up with a totally different tax return amount than on my previous draft from Sheila & better yet… I owed NOTHING to IRS!!!
Instead I will be utilizing THE TAX DOCTOR moving forward for the personable experience I had with him.

I went by here today to do my taxes and as soon as i walked in i seen hella elephants. Lol Its a small office but its been around for 20 years family owned. The man who helped me was the son of Sheila and he was very helpful! They definitely earned my business i appreciated the love and the family vibez they gave! Oh and did i mention only 20 i paid! Poppin! Thanks Sheila girrl!

My grandfather Charles would always bring me with him to file his taxes here as a child, now at 22 I am continuing the tradition by filing taxes here every year. Even though I now live in New Orleans. It’s an easy fax and pay pal payment!

So long H&R Block!!! Ive been paying $ 250 on average with H&R Block and they’re criminals. Went to this place because of Unilocal and did a walk-​in. It was quite a wait because I didn’t have an appointment, but they’re fast, quick, and very efficient and very professional. Not to mention I only paid $ 20!!! Lifetime customer here. See you guys next year.

Some people told me to think twice before going expecially since it only cost $ 20, but after speaking with them about their fee. I’m feeling much better about my decision. It’s good to know that they don’t take money that we’ve worked hard for and they believe that we come first. It’s a small office, but very peaceful and they are truly sweethearts. They make sure you cross you’re T’s and dot you’re I’s and it was a pleasure. A fee just to file only sounds like a winner to me.

Okay so I’ve been getting my taxes done at H&R Block for years, ever since I was a teenager, and after today’s visit at this office I’m pretty confident I will not be returning to H&R Block. This office is so awesome! They only charge $ 20 for short form and $ 50 for a long form. And my taxes are done in about 20 minutes for a short form. When I owned a business, I paid over $ 400 to have H&R Block file my taxes, not to mention the 2 – 3 hours I use to spend watching them type in information. Straight ridiculous! This place is legit too! Not shaddy at all! Last year I just had a simple 1040 done at H&R Block and they charged me $ 120. Never again! The customer service at Sheila’s is awesome, the price is awesome, and your time spent in the office is very minimal!

ive been going here first with my mom for yearssssss! then a couple years back, i started coming here by myself and even referred my boyfriend to come with me and i love their friendliness and corky-​ness of their office. im planning to go here this year again and i advise to make an appt! the wait isnt so bad but during those busy tax season times its that time to do it! love the family that works here! i usually pay $ 20 but i know its different depending when in the tax season you go.

Get the bang for your buck ! the office is small and be prepared to weight $ 25 to fill a tax return is worth it ! I’m late reviewing I have been going here for years. Nice, family owned business.

First off i would like to make everyone aware of the incompetence of these people who work here. I would NEVER go here AGAIN to have my taxes done. They are not knowledgeable individuals at all. I had them prepare and file my 2011 tax returns and come to find out after receiving a letter from the IRS — that they lied on my 2011 tax returns. They knew my AGE and they went ahead and used an EXCEPTION CODE which stated i had reached age 55. I am 30 years old and at the time i was 29. They CLEARLY knew i was not age 55 when they prepared and filed my 2011 taxes. After reaching Calvin McDaniel by phone he HUNG UP on me. Very unprofessional. After reaching Sheila McDaniel via phone she emailed me copies of my 2011 tax returns, THEN TURNED AROUND and AMENDS my tax returns WITHOUT MY PERMISSION to do so. Which in turn is very unacceptable. I would never recommend this office to anyone, and if you’re in the market to have your taxes prepared PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE else where the staff is knowledgeable and knows what they are doing and what they are talking about. ALSO JUST AN FYI… the «positive» reviews that they may have, they can PAY people to write these «positive» reviews so please don’t go off of these POSITIVE reviews at ALL.

I usually go to H&R block for taxes but when i found that they were going to charge me $ 150++ to do my taxes this year because it wasn’t just a simple tax I looked to get them done somewhere else. My coworker referred me here and I’m glad she did because I am really happy with the service.
I got lucky and walked in on a good day and had about a 10 minute wait. I gave her the paperwork and she told me it was going to be $ 80 which was sooo much cheaper than other places. She gave me advice on what things I could report to get a better tax return and after that she handled everything smoothly and I got a better tax return than I expected! It’s a small office but I liked the ambiance of their waiting room.
I will definitely be going there next year! A simple tax return was advertised as $ 20 on the front desk so if anyone still needs their taxes done this year go do them with Sheila now!

After doing my taxes for years, a coworker convinced me to try this place. Well, before I went I did my own taxes on paper just to see how good they were. To see if their numbers meet my numbers. Well, I walked away with a bigger refund than I anticipated! I also have to say that when I arrived in the office (which is really small), I was kind of bummed that the line was so long. But it moved pretty quickly and the whole process was done in minutes. So much better than going to H&R block! I am definitely going back this year! No stress, only $ 20 and good speedy service. This place is a gem!

Seriously you cant beat $ 30 to file your tax return. Not only that but you can get it done in under 20minutes! Say What?! Yes Sir… under 20 minutes and thats if you just walk in off the street. If you make an appointment your wait time will be even less. I’ve had my taxes done here the past 2 years and this is by far the best place to go. You get your taxes filed signed and they will be electronically deposited into your bank account in no more than 3 weeks… last year it was deposited in a week! So once again $ 30, direct deposit, in and out in less than 20minutes… Go see Sheila McDaniel!

Ive had my taxes done here for the last 3 years. You can walk in or make an appt. If you walk in and its not busy. they will do your taxes right then and there. usually within 15 minutes (for me at least!!) and walk right out!
Customer Service is awesome and better than most tax people I have dealt with. If you’re like me and get your W2’s early then head on down… BUT if you get them closer to tax season make sure you make an appointment.
Make an appt. and your tax fee is $ 20– WHAT??? $ 20? Yes. you read that right fellow UnilocalERS! Thats 1 — $ 20 or 20 singles (if you happened to hit the strip club up the night before)!!!
