Queen B’s

No one makes fresh scones like the Queen! These aren’t your usual biscuit dough covered in sugar, but real English scones… hand made with sultanas (white raisins), cut in half with strawberry jam, clotted cream, and topped with a fresh strawberry. And that’s only the beginning. Home-​made quiche, fabulous soups. High tea is authentic and delicious with five kinds of finger sandwiches. And then there’s Sunday dinner. Meat, surrounded by veggies like roasted potatoes, parsnips, peas and carrots, courgette casserole, PLUS soup or salad, and dessert. Definitely the B’s Knees, a concoction of ice cream, Bailey’s Irish cream… YUMMMM. This is my favorite place for lunch. But it’s even better if you have kids, especially little girls. They can have a real tea party, with crown-​shaped sandwiches, little desserts they call «dainties,» and dress up! I LOVE this place!

Loved it! I was able to get my hands on some food items that I have not had since we moved from England, many years ago!
Everything in Queen B’s is for sale, so go take a look even if you aren’t hungry! If you ARE hungry, their High Tea is wonderful. There were three of us, so we ordered 3 High Teas and left stuffed to the gills and carrying 3 large take-​out containers.
