ordered the pancakes ! OMG, they were really really good. the batter was different and was not the typical pancake batter, I can’t explain it. I’ll go back soon.

I don’t order anything besides the bean soup– but it is always on point! Staff is friendly for the most part :) I would assume the B-Fast is pretty decent too. Try it out!

I agree with the previous post about the pricing and the veggie omelet was the best I’ve had. My hubby got me a carry out and I was not disappointed. I hope this place last in the area!

I’ve been to this restaurant 3 or 4 times since it’s opened… It’s unusual for Inkster in that the food is actually pretty good, the service is astounding(Michelle especially, I’ve never felt so welcomed in a diner type restaurant as with her kind smile and attention, she’s attentive, yet not overly so) It’s in a converted coney joint that keeps going out of business. Open/closed/Open/closed… So it would be nice if this place actually stayed open long enough to pick up some traction. Although I don’t mind being one of the few people in there… since the seating is limited… and parking is a bit tight… if you don’t count the street parking. This incarnation looks like the inside of the previous joint about 10 or 12 booths, 2 or 3 small tables and some counter seating. It’s clean enough. Have never checked out the Pee/poo though. The menu to say the least for this area is pricey for Omelettes …it’s probably worth it for most of their offerings… and yes their omelettes are very very good. I’ve tried 3 veggies and 1 spanish. …as well as their 3 egg breakfast and grits and Hashbrowns and only wheat toast and coffee. I’ve tried three sauces… Yes I said SAUCES ! in 141? and all served before 10 A. M?. and all designed to go on OMELETTES. The first veggie I had was crêpe style… it was good, fresh ingredients and comes with Bearnaise sauce(Bearnaise sauce, I don’t think they even taught us that word in French class at Cherry Hill High). The crêpe veggie was OK… and probably it’s better to step up to the 2 or 3 egg Omelette that are NOT crêpe style… but Fluffy concoctions… soufflé like. Foregoing the Hashbrowns that ride for free with the crêpe style omelette. The second time, I had a 3 egg breakfast, bacon, hashbrown, wheat toast. Again decent… worth the money. But I also carried out a veggie 3 egg omelette. I tossed that in my trunk, drove it around town in very cold weather… then tossed it in my fridge… then cut the thing in half and nuked it about 8 – 10 hours after it was first prepared. What did I notice? This is ONEFLUFFYOMELETTE! Nuked or not… this things’ got wings like it dropped in from heaven… I couldn’t believe how puffy and thick those eggs were. I half expected this omelette to deflate or float away when I poked at it.
The inside stuff was fine too… and the B sauce was OK. You can keep the shredded lettuce. maybe think about giving something else instead.(How about a small side of pasta/olives/a pretty sliced up tomato perhaps… like the Breakfast Club does in Madison Heights) . So would I return again? Sure, Did I? yes. So I go back again… order another veggie to eat in just to make sure the first time carry out wasn’t some weird alignment of culinary stars… making this omelette puffy as all get out. This time it’s a two egg omelette with a side of grits. And yes still puffy. The grits come separate… there are NO sides with any of the non crêpe omelettes other than toast. The grits are as good as you can get in Metro Detroit… and they come with butter on them… and it’s a decent bowl of grits(size wise). The Omelette 2 eggs… should have come with B sauce but they ran out… so they subbed… MUSHROOM Sauce… Let’s say this… that’s an interesting. Peppery, Mushroomy, very Creamy, cream of mushroom soup, but thicker… er. It’s thick. PMC for short. And it’s got sliced mushrooms in it that you can see, taste and feel and chew. That should be offered as a direct sub to the other sauces… forget the B sauce and go to the PMC sauce. I carried out ½ of the omelette… Speaking of Carry out… This place charges 25 cents for carry out… now what do you get for .25 cent? they take the toast and individually wrap it outside of the sweaty steaming omelette and place it outside of the styrofoam so it doesn’t go all soggy on you. I don’t remember if I got plastic cutlery… but for .25 cents you should. Now the third visit, 4th? I ordered a 3 eggs spanish omelette, which comes with ground beef(little pellets) and some other stuff… and a salsa type ranchero sauce? I’d rather do a veggie… and keep it simple… I’m not sure what happened but even though those eggs were fluffy… something might have been off, it smelled OK, tasted OK; Maybe it was the steak I had the night before… BUT… Let’s just say I’m glad I was close to home. So do I recommend the place… ABSOLUTELY, could the prices be a bit lower… probably…or at least kick in some extra side, grits or HB with all the omelettes to make me feel like I’m not eating in Royal Oak or Troy going Ala Carte for breakfast. Trust me You know you’re not in Royal Oak or Troy by the view of Garden City across the street., but the food could survive that market. …Looks like it’s a favorite with City employees of Inkster and you’ll see a firetruck there often enough too. Go if you can spell Bearnaise…
