Outback Steakhouse

Food was served hot and well prepared. They are very busy and for the most part service is good.

The portions are small. A long time Outback Steakhouse used to give large portions.
It seems the customer service is not well-​trained. I was sitting in the car at the take-​out for a long time. A lady went in and when she came out I asked her if there was a worker in there. She said «yes, and your order is right there and she asked me if it was MY order». Maybe the cashier/​waitress could have looked at the monitor to see I had been sitting there for ages. Then when I asked her what happened she lied and said my order had just been completed. Another time, the waitress was so sick. It’s not nice to pick up food from someone with the flu. Another time at the take-​out again, I signed the check, gave the girl a tip and she walked away without giving me my receipt. When I asked her for the receipt, she came back and said «it’s there with the check, you can take it yourself.» So that was weird because a waitress never said that to me. I guess she thought it was too much effort for her to give me a receipt (AND SAY THANK YOU – ???) Her name is Amy. The next time I went back, I gave her a tip and again she didn’t say thank you or smile.
I don’t know what’s going on over there. But finally, I ordered the new ½ Rib-​eye sandwich — well I HATE Inverness Outback Steakhouse.
When they said ½ Rib-​eye sandwich, I didn’t think it would be the tiniest sandwich in the world, and burnt.
The Inverness manager doesn’t care that their service is bad. When I spoke to him, he didn’t apologize or care in the least. He didn’t say anything. It was as if his body was there but he wasn’t hearing me (an older, scruffy looking man). I understood that he couldn’t be bothered by one unhappy customer, because the place is always so busy.
So you can eat there, but I never will.
I’ve been to lots of Outbacks. The one in Ocala is excellent.

Server Kira was terrific, very accommodating for our food allergy concerns. Very friendly. Kitchen was backed up, took 1 hr to get food, although when we did it was delicious. The service certainly saved this rating.

You’d think a restaurant that has steakhouse in its name and pictures so you know what medium rare looks like would know how to perfectly prepare a steak.
Disappointing meal tonight. My husband and I both ordered 9-​oz sirloin steak tonight. Medium. Mine came out mostly medium with a few bites of medium rare. Okay. His came out medium rare to rare. He couldn’t eat it that way. Sent it back, something he hates to do. It came back looking medium-​well to well. That’s not what he wanted. Sent it back. The manager was fine with taking it off the bill but didn’t seem terribly apologetic. We felt he should have cared more.
So I ate alone at Outback while he watched and then he ate alone at Wendy’s while I watched. Next time we might go directly to Wendy’s (and I don’t eat burgers).

Amazing service from Sarah. My glass was never empty and we never needed to look for her to get her attention (on top of that the place was packed). Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked. I will deffinately be returning and recommending everyone I know to come to this outback.

our ladies group was there for lunch 8/6…food inedible service dreadful… we usually tip generously so we expected better… maybe lunch cooks are learning and they save good ones for dinner? but servings were sparse in one ladys’ soup and sandwich…2″ square of roast beef bun? beef looked old and served cold…3 ordered steak and shrimp– steak medium well came extremely well done. and shrimp were size of «bait» and tasted like it… I had chopped cobb salad… for 12 $…rough chopped iceberg lettuce…6 grape tomatoes halved, sprinkling of cheese like comes from a bag and swimming in blue cheese vinaigrette… and forget getting anyones’ attention… no offering of extra water or iced tea… we won’t be back ever

This place is very, very good. As far a chain — it’s at the top. I love the Onion soup! I love their steaks and fish and salads… and their service.
They are on top of their game and you will be the beneficiary of the experience!

When we arrived, we were told there was a 10 minute wait. Less than 1 minute later we were seated, which was great! Once we ordered our drinks, it took a few minutes for us to get them, but this really wasn’t that big of a deal. I ordered the bloomin burger which got to the table after they brought me an entirely different meal and I had to wait for my actual order to make its way over. I know these things happen but when mistakes are made they should be corrected immediately, not 10 minutes later. It seemed like every table in our servers section was having problems with their orders as well, so I’m inclined to think it was either a problem with the server or the kitchens expeditor. Everyone at my table was finished with their meals way before my burger came. The burger was very plain and had almost no bloomin onion sauce on it which was the whole reason I ordered it but I wasn’t about to ask to get more sauce and wait another 10 minutes. I try to look at things positively and try not to place blame on anyone when things get messed up, but this was just a bad experience. The only good part of it was that we were seated quickly and then it was all downhill from there.

Staff is great, always willing to take the extra step if something comes out wrong (which happens from time to time, they are VERY busy). They’ve changed up a bit with the menu (some things we used to order aren’t there anymore) and the bar area isn’t 1^st come seating anymore, but they try really hard to seat you quickly with your call ahead. It’s a chain, so the food is what you’d expect from any other Outback, good quality.

I’ve been to this outback on a take out basis only. The curbside pick up is anything but. You usually gave to walk inside otherwise you just wait forever. Also, the three times I’ve been there something is always missing be it silverware, dressing, butter it is always something. This is frustrating BC you usually don’t notice until you are at your destination and by then its pointless to go back. A little more attention to detail would be great. Food is good as always at Outback.

The food was good. We had appetizers tat were very good and our dinner was good. What really made the night was our server. She was outstanding. We will go back.

It’s an Outback. Usually they’re all the same. And this one had good food and very good service. However, the one thing that set it apart from all other Outbacks I’ve ever been is cleanliness. This was hands down the dirtiest restaurant I’ve ever been in my entire life. The floors were so dirty you literally slid on grease walking to your table. And every table was dirty. The entire time I was eating I had an irresistible urge to get a mop and start cleaning the floor. It was science fiction. Maybe it was an off night. Next time I pass through I’ll stop in again just to see if I was hallucinating this time and give an update.

16 oz Prime Rib m/​r is cooked perfectly every single time I have order it, which is at least twice a month. Not only is it perfectly each time but I’ve had in in other states and the quality and cooking is perfect.
In addition, the bartenders in this location can make a wonderful Martini.

I just had dinner at Outback. The menu is different which means less food larger prices. Meal was fine but we got a spotted dog to go and made the mistake of not checking it before we left.
When we got home there was ok whip cream like we specifically requested and it was a tiny half scoop of ice cream.

This was my first time at this restaurant. I had the Outback Special with Baked Potato. The meal was cooked perfect. I will recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We had to wait FOREVER! They quoted us 35 – 40 minutes, and it was at least an hour and 15 minutes before we got seated. They did walk around giving out samples of their appetizers, which I’ve never seen at an Outback before, but honestly, that just made me feel hungrier! Then, I ordered the Outback Special and it was very fatty. I’m so thankful for the free meal that my in-​laws took us to, but next time I’ll ask to go somewhere else.

Ate there last night (new years eve). They were Great! Great food, great service, great staff!

We were greeted at the door and seated immediately. Our waitress came over promptly and took our drink order. We both ordered the
6 ounce sirloin. They were done perfectly and were delicious, as was the baked potato and broccoli. Our waitress was extremely nice and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely return. We have been to this restaurant numerous times and always enjoy it.
