5 minutes after driving out from their lot the” check engine” light turns on. After their asessment, had the wrong part replaced(rubber pipe), which I discovered a few months later when the problem recurred. So I paid twice for it, had to fight for a refund which ended up being only a partial one.

I moved here from Phoenix, Arizona this past June. I own a 2009 Mercedes ML. This is not my first Mercedes and is my last, was my thought. I bought this car 6 months prior to coming to Iowa, for its Certified pre-owned warranty. The dealer in Phoenix had my car in service 16 times in the first 6 months, with repeated repairs that they could not seem to be corrected or resolved. Once arriving here in Iowa, I could only use this one dealer for my cars service and needed repairs, the repeated ones. I was quite nervous and on-guard after my experience in Phoenix. Upon arriving at Carousel, I meet with Craig Yeager and when I spoke with him I let him that corporate may be calling for I have quite a history. He listened and noted my history.(It was interesting to watch the other service techs face when I was reading off my list of repairs done in 6 months). Craig, was quite patient with my guarded trust and empathized with it. He never once treated me, nor still has, badly. In fact, I feel quite comfortable calling and asking him questions when I have them. It took 2 – 3 times before they could correct all the issues that my car had. Mainly because the previous dealer neglected areas and caused other issues. That and parts had to be ordered for the moon-roof, I kept my car while the parts arrived. I have even gone in and spoken with the Mercedes Sales team. They were quite knowledge of their product line and they gave the same answers I have read and been told from Corporate. The last dealer taught me to research from Corporate prior to going in and trusting a sales person. My point though is I was quite happy to talk with them. Overall, this dealer has helped me re-think my idea on this being my last Mercedes. I have had 4 in total, the first two were old Diesels, my third an R class(miss this car terrible) and now this one. I may consider another one when the times comes for this one to go. I feel this dealership and service team CARE about the quality of their work, as much if not more, then the quality which brought you to buy or look to buy a Mercedes. Its been 6 months since I have been here and one trip back to Phoenix, my car has ran quite well with no running to service for repairs. Thank you Carousel Service for the experience, I am quite pleased, finally !

Carousel motors is the place to get your VW serviced. Ever since purchasing a Jetta, I like to have them worked on my one spot so if a piece goes missing or what not, I’ve got a place to hold responsible as well as turn to if the part needs replacing! The guys and gals here are incredibly friendly and really go out of their way to help you out. Every time I’ve needed to get an oil change within a few day window, they make it happen and do so with a smile! The free shuttle is key as well. They’ll take you anywhere in the IC or Coralville area and pick you up again after your car is done being serviced. The dudes that drive it are very professional and a good time to chat with. Prices are comparable to most other dealerships and they do a great job of shopping the competition to make sure they aren’t ripping you off more than you expect! Solid spot for VW tune ups.
