It is hard to find an «adventurous» salon in this area. My daughter wanted to have one side of her head shaved and her hair color changed. Every stylist in the place was excited to help her, but the task fell to Lauren, who did an outstanding job, giving my daughter a cut and color that she was excited about. Her hair looks like it is blonde with blue roots growing in. Happy to say they can make old ladies look stylish too!

One reason I’ve been a client for years is because I know they are continuously training to keep up with the latest techniques and products. In the late 1990s, when I first relocated to Columbia, they were the only salon I found that Knew foil coloring when everybody else I talked to wanted to pull my hair through a cap.
I love the lay out. Each stylist has a large space of their own, which makes it comfortable and gives you privacy even though it’s very open.
I have always gone by the rule that if other women ask you where you get your hair done, it looks good. I get asked a lot.

I read nothing but dazzling reviews on Google for Gore, so I had high hopes. I was very impressed by the spa-​like atmosphere and the hospitality offered, but that was where it ended. My dye job was a disaster and the cut wasn’t up to par. Months later, I’m still dealing with hair loss from Gore overprocessing the color of my hair. Thankfully, I’m now a regular client at Austral Salon in Forest Acres, and my stylist and I are slowly helping my hair through the healing process. Not to mention that Austral is much cheaper – don’t waste your money at Gore! You’ll pay too much for too little.

1st time– whew. Walked in during lunch hoping to get a hair cut without an appt… Lauren greeted me at the front and was wonderful. She was very friendly– inviting and said it would be just a moment. The place is beautiful– well decorated– well laid out… good choice so far. Lauren said she could cut my hair and took me right back. She was so friendly– I felt like we have known each other for years– great experience– hair cut itself was awesome. Overall experience was wonderful– scheduled my next appt already. Only reason it’s not a 5 is the price for a mans cut and shampoo was $ 25– a little high on a family budget but well worth it…

I am so happy I came across Gore Salon. I went in today to get highlights and a cut and I left there extremely satisfied. Ashley was my hair stylist and she did an excellent job and was very knowledgeable. I will definitely be a regular customer and will be referring my friends.
