I have gone to this restaurant every summer while up north for as long as I can remember.(Quite literally since Kevin and Pam began running it) It is truly a family place and the staff and owners make you feel so welcome. I’ve never once been disappointed with the food which says a lot for a small town steakhouse. I spent the last few summers doing online undergrad courses during vacation and went to the spot for their wifi, some apps, and drinks while doing work. It was as welcoming as always and I still felt at home even without my family there with me. I can’t imagine Iron River without The Spot. Other places like Hyde’s and The Hermitage have come and gone but they have never compared and have never had the atmosphere or the quality food this place has. It is a rare gem in this day and age of impersonal chain style places and subpar fast food.

The Spot Supper Club was friendly, had great service, wonderful prices and good food. The staff and the owner were beyond accommodating. When we called to make sure they were still open, Kevin(the owner) said if we were definitely going there he would definitely keep the kitchen open for us so that we could get something to eat. The waiter was very courteous and attentive. The clientele was chill and mellow. Casual, not pretentious or snobby. Laid back. Kevin(the Owner) was a delight. I didn’t even know he was the owner until we were leaving. I had assumed he was just a friendly bartender. He was tending the bar and kept giving us great tips on where to go and what to do by The Great Lakes area. He showed us books and maps and welcomed everyone into the bar. My only complaint is, I wish there was a place like this in NYC so I could drop by more frequently. But, alas, I’ll have to come to Iron River, Wisconsin again to say hi to Kevin and everyone at The Spot Supper Club. Until then, I’ll have great memories.

We just had a fabulous dinner at The Spot. Classic Wisconsin supper club feel, friendly and attentive staff, clean, courteous, and a relish tray! Whitefish was wonderful. Walleye was as well. We will be back. This is our new Northwoods club house.

This is really like a little hidden gem, tucked back in pretty much a residential area, and from what I’m told frequented mostly by locals(aren’t those the best places!!). Very cute place(decorated in maritime, hunting, cabin décor) and the food was good. We had steak and seafood. It seemed to me that the restaurant is ran by and worked in by family. Everyone was very nice and we sat at the window with a nice view of the lake. There are bird feeders all around the windows and it was really nice to see the birds come up to eat. I would definitely suggest going here. Also, it was a little more pricey than some of the other restaurants in town but the drinks were good and the place is nice.
