This little biker-bar looks like a place that a large percentage of the general population might want to avoid late at night and during bike week… But if you time it right(ie, go early in the day when they are not having a biker festival on the river), you can avoid the crowds and enjoy some suprisingly yummy food! We went in to have a beer and quick bite for lunch on a Saturday around noon and were pleasantly suprised by the quality of the food. The beer battered onion rings were the real deal — fresh hand-battered, not frozen/pre-packaged. The menu is extensive, and everything on the menu is reasonably priced. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. But honestly, we sort of looked like we could be bikers that day since we had on leather jackets with jeans and rolled up in a borrowed beat-up pickup truck. I am not sure if explains the warm welcome we received, but no matter, we had fun pretending that we weren’t just tourists! I think this is the kind of place that Guy Fieri would have a blast visiting on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives! We’ll definitely be going back next time we are passing through the area.
