This is my second time there, they changed my car’s battery few months ago, they waited for my car late on that day after they closed and I got it back the next day, so I did oil change there this time. Very reasonable price, friendly and honest!

love them! They are so responsive, reasonably priced, honest, and efficient! They did a diagnostic for me free of charge when they didn’t find any problem! I will never go to another mechanic!

My car wasn’t working when I tried to turn it on to go to work a few days ago so I called this place to schedule an appointment. I went in today to get my car checked. The entire process to get everything done took about 1.5 hours.
The two Korean receptionists: nice but didn’t tell me when my car was going to be checked or what was wrong with it, so after signing in and waiting for 40 minutes, I went up to them to ask. Wish they were more proactive in keeping me updated. Their English skills were good enough to understand me but there were also times when I had to repeat my question to make sure they understood fully.
The issue with my car: needed battery to be replaced. I got an estimate of it all before they actually changed it for me– $ 100 for the battery with 24 months warranty and $ 34 for labor. To be honest, it was less than I had originally expected.
Since the place is run by Koreans, there were many Korean-​speaking customers. I think the customer service is better for Koreans because they are more comfortable communicating in Korean rather than in English.
I also wish that the mechanic directly spoke to me and explained the issue to me instead of having the receptionists be the middle people. I wanted to talk to the mechanic to know what the problem was and to hear from him what needed to be fixed. I was able to talk to him at the end just to clarify my questions — the person who did my car was not Korean– maybe Mexican? He was really nice and explained to me what needed to be fixed.
I also asked for them to check my tires, brakes, and oil to make sure everything was running smoothly, and the mechanic did it all, giving me a rundown at the end when I asked him to.
Overall a good place to go to– I felt that they were thorough and honest with me about the prices and issues my car had. Also gave me a receipt with the price breakdown which I appreciated. This place is hidden away in Irvine so unless you intentionally seek it out you probably won’t just stumble upon it. Maybe bring a friend with you or leave your car and pick it up when the job is done because there is only one small waiting room and it’s not the best place to sit in for 1.5 hours. Just saying (:

Bought a crappy civic with tons of miles on it (190k) as a commuter and took it here for the works (wouldn’t pass smog of course). Got it looked at and and computer scanned right after I walked in. They asked me to leave it for a more accurate estimate so I did. Got a call back the same day with an estimate of what was needed. The price was reasonable so I said go ahead. Got a call 2 days later as promised saying that my car was done, which was impressive because the work included a full tune up, new water pump, timing belt, thermostat, oil change, new catalytic converter and 02 sensors. The car passed the pretest so I was stoked. Drove it for a couple of days to reset the driving cycle, then as I was going to get it smogged the check engine light came back on. Needless to say I was super frustrated so I took it back. They scanned it again and it turned out to be an unrelated faulty sensor, which they fixed the same day at no charge! Will definitely be coming back here with all of my cars.

Most honest mechanic I’ve ever dealt with!

bf discovered a beast of a nail (4 – 5 inches) in his left rear tire and needed to get it patched asap! per our friend’s referral to autohouse baiksan we phoned in and asked if we can drop by and the shop owner was able to see us same day and patched the tire within 5 minutes!
the owner is such a nice person and very courteous. after my boyfriend’s tires were fixed the tpms were reset and you can’t even tell the damage from the nail! the tire looked as good as new :)
thanks autohouse baiksan for getting us back on the road :) they fix a lot of japanese cars? saw a lot of mazdas in the shop… so i assume you can visit anytime you have japanese import problems!

AC not working on my Jaguar. They took me right in, pressure tested, fixed the problem and I’m done in less than 1 hour.. .

i had to change my rating from 4 stars to 3 because after a week, my Freon leaked out again. i ended up taking my car to my trusty Jag mechanic who replaced the hose and problem is now fixed…

I was there for changing tire. the guy was so skilled and nice to take care of my car. I used to go around only tire shop, but this guys was better than tire special shop. and I got free diagnosis service of check engine light. all that I thanks for from autohouse. I strongly recommend this guys to all.

Great service, affordable prices.
My car wouldn’t start and I wasn’t sure what was wrong with it so I had it towed here. I called ahead of time to let them know I was getting my car towed there and they said they had time to look at it today (Saturday) and if they couldn’t fix it by today then they would have it finished by Monday.
I brought it in around 11AM and I asked if they could take a look at it and let me know what was wrong with it and an estimate of how much it would cost. Turns out that my starter needed to be replaced and gave me an incredibly fair price. He said he could have it done by the time they closed today (3PM) so I had my s.o. pick me up and bring me back later that afternoon.
I called around 2:30PM just to be sure that it would be done by the time they closed and they said that I could go pick it up then. They even checked my oil for me and realigned my steering wheel!
Definitely recommend this auto repair shop!

This is a good shop. From what I saw they’ll never hurt for business for a few reasons: they have reasonable prices, the employees are kind, and the work is done. I’ve had three jobs done here and been pleased from making an appointment to picking up my car.

Well I had an unfortunate event of my car not starting after attempts of Jump starting it so I looked up my trusty Unilocal and found this gem. Towed here and met Kai. He informed me he would call me the next day for my diagnosis. When he did call he informed me of some wiring gone wrong in my Honda Civic and he could have it fixed by the end of the day. It ended up being a fair price! My boyfriend also has had his car fixed here too and needless to say we will be back for more services should we need it! I’m here today for an oil change:)

5 months ago, I hit a road block on the freeway and destroyed the undercover under the lips of my Mazda3 2010. When I came here to Mr. An, he temporarily patched it up for me using nylon strips at no cost. I didn’t care to pay money for it at the time, so I was happy with the temporary fix that costed me nothing.
I recently hit another piece of tire on the freeway, and the same problem happened again. To fix the problem with a replacement piece for the undercover, I came back to
Mr. An ordered the parts directly from Mazda as soon as he could. While the order for the replacement part was placed, he quickly patched up the undercover again using nylon strips that held up very well.
When the replacement part arrived, Mr. An installed it for me very quickly. The cost was only 114 bucks, which was basically just the cost for the replacement part itself. I don’t think he benefited from this labor service at all. Upon my request, he also inspected my tires and and other parts of my car that might need check up without any charge (He doesn’t charge for check-​ups). I ended up having nothing to fix, but I still appreciated the time he took to inspect everything on top of the service he provided for a very moderate cost to replace my damaged part. I also appreciate that he was willing to help me find the most economical way to handle every situation that I visited him.
He is few of words, but that’s probably because he’s very calm, composed, and focused on his task. He’s also very honest and responsible. I highly highly recommend Mr. An of Autohouse Baiksan.

Honest. Affordable. Gets the job done! I am so happy I finally found a trustworthy mechanic. My car broke down on a Saturday night, close to midnight. I called triple A and told them to just two my car to Baiksan and that I would deal with it in the morning. I was blown away when triple A told me the lights in the garage were on and that someone was there to take in my car. When I called Baiksan Autohouse, they answered the phone! It was almost midnight! The man laughed when I asked what he was doing there so late — just happened to be working late that night when my car was towed there. He called me first thing in the morning with a price quote. Talk about hard working and dedicated! Ever since then, I’ve been taking in my car for oil changes, services and just got new tires. Customer service is top notch. It’s always a good idea to call ahead to let them know you’ll be dropping off your vehicle for service. Or better yet — just make an appointment. They’re pretty busy on Saturdays. You won’t be disappointed.

After an estimated 1.5hours for an oil change in Lake Forest where we normally take the car, I decided to stay closer to home.
Unilocal pointed me to this place and the owner said he could see me in 45 mins and a synthetic oil change was $ 55. That’s a good deal and fast appointment time for Saturday.
When I arrived the owner said he’d get me abd the Scion xb in faster so I waited in the not so glamorous waiting room. After 35 mins the oil as changed, fluid checked and topped off and serpentine belt checked. I also asked to check if there were any visible leaks from the under side.
The owner said he could do bmw brakes replacement. I could see lots of Japanese and Korean cars getting work here. I’m not sure if I’d bring my German import.

I came here to fix my tire breaks as well as my coolant and this guys extremely kind and helpful. I am going to come back here for my oil change tomorrow and I am sure I will have no trouble with it. It is really all you need, very nice.

Have been looking for an honest shop for a long time. And have not met a more honest one than this.
Had been having car trouble and took my car to a couple shops and got ridiculous quotes, then found auto house and they were not pushy, very respectful and very honest.
Glad to finally find a place. Hope I don’t have car trouble again but even if I do I’m not worried anymore.

I was due for an oil change and my friend recommended this place to me, saying their oil changes are only $ 25! I used to pay $ 45 at this other place!
The guy that helped me was so nice and courteous. He also let me know that it was probably a good idea to change my air condition filter, which was an additional $ 50-​ish with all parts and labor included, so I got that done too. Everything was finished within 30 mins, soooooo much better than the 3 hours I’m used to waiting!
I’m very happy with the service and prices here and will be back manyyyyy times!

$ 25 oil change! can’t beat that. This place is always honest, and even when they’re busy they seem to get everything done in a reasonable amount of time.
I am so happy to have found a good mechanic who doesn’t charge you an arm and a leg and offer you things you don’t need

The A/​C in my car died a couple of weeks ago.
I called my trusty Auto Clinic in Irvine, and they referred my to Autohouse as they did not repair A/​C. I called Autohouse and made an appointment for Wednesday morning at 9:30AM. Thank goodness, I was gonna get it fixed before this supposed heatwave.
9:25 I arrive. Walk in to a front desk, no one there, no biggie.
9:30 Still waiting. There’s a guy tinkering under the hood of a car. S’okay still.
9:40 I see a mechanic in the shop. I ask for help. He replies, «I don’t work here.»
9:50 I go out to the guy working on a car. He tells me «owner test driving!»
9:55 I walk out.
Really Autohouse? 30 minutes and you can’t make an appointment? And I don’t know who you have tinkering in your stuff, but people who «Don’t work there» are fiddling on your systems.
Auto Clinic: Do yourselves a favor and distance yourselves from this business. If you refer people over, like me, it reflects on you too.
Today was the hottest day of the freakin’ year. I didn’t have A/​C. Oh but I have an appt elsewhere. Like that helps. Ingrid is a mad, bitter, cranky Unilocaler.
