Their olive oil chicken and wings are the bomb here. Fried to ultimate crispiness with juicy flavor, you will be heading back here again. I recommend the chicken caesar to start followed by their double crunch wings or the olive oil fried chicken(half or full).

I get the olive chicken strips every time, and be sure to ask for the spicy red sauce to put on it. Beware, pretty spicy, but so good! My only complaint is that the food takes a while to come out, but maybe that’s because it’s freshly prepared. Doesn’t stop me from still going there.

Not a bad place, healthy enough but the cashier/server was incredibly rude, very short with me as though he didn’t have time to help me as the customer.

Stopped to get a snack and ordered fried chicken w sweet and sour sauce. Chicken was over cooked and sauce was spicy. Too pricey for quantity.

first off the Mac n cheese wasn’t good at all. Kraft Mac n cheese from a box is better than this? I ask the man at front if I can get a refund for the Mac n cheese because I’m not going to eat it and he says he doesn’t think that is going to be possible and gets the owner… THEOWNER was very rude and not helpful, didn’t offer me any other option. He told me there is nothing he can do and he can not refund me? The owner is super rude, stingy and needs to work on himself and maybe this wouldn’t be a 3 star business…

I come here often for my korean fried chicken craving and this place doesnt disappoint me. The chicken is not frozen like you would find at other places that serve fried chicken, it tastes juicy and fresh. The reason I give this a 3 stars is coz from the time I place the order, the food to arrive is easily over 30 minutes on a weekend and thats the only time I have go out to get this. So. I recommend this place but be ready to wait for a while.

Their olive chicken has a horrible after taste that I cannot quite describe. When ordering to go, the wait time is usually horrendous and the net result of that wait(and price) is something that I can barely finish. Their fried wings fares a little better, but given the effort it takes to find parking in the area + the wait time, it’s simply not worth it. Additionally, the last time I went there, the asian lady behind the counter(who I assume is this franchise owner??) was busy talking to her friend. Had to wait for 10 minutes before someone else noticed I was standing in line for an order. Service is not great and if you couple it with the issues in the first paragraph, it’s not a place I’d want to come back for a repeat visit any longer.

Korean fried chicken done with a young adult friendly atmosphere?! I’m there! Now, this is NOT my first time at BBQ Chicken and I would like to emphasize on how great this chicken is. First off, the location is small and the seating arrangement could be improved on. The dining area has a few scattered tables some that accommodate larger parties(6 – 8) and other areas that are smaller for parties of 1 or 2. I came in here on a Monday afternoon around 4 and this place was super packed. I walked to the front to leave my name in and the gentlemen said I can leave my name and number so they can let me know when my table would be ready. Pretty sweet, right?! At first I was around the front of the place but it literally took almost 45 minutes to get the phone call and about 5 minutes after to get the table cleaned up(phone orders were flooding the lines). I don’t really mind waiting but the music was SO. LOUD. Now, not that this is a big deal but having music blasting so loud that you can not only here the instruments accenting but you can now hear everyone progressively getting louder to compete with the music. It took about another 10 minutes(not exaggerating) to even place our order so my boyfriend and I waited awkwardly. I was farting around on my phone and noticed that it’s like 30 minutes til 6 and the food wasn’t done. *eyeroll*. I’m pretty sure the server noticed(good thing!) that I was kind of over waiting because the people that had been seated after us had received their food before us. (WHUT!!!) I asked the server about that and he said that calling your order ahead will reduce the wait time(duh but???) Anyway, food arrived and I asked for the pregame cabbage and spicy thousand sauce that they served and I was informed they don’t serve that anymore :(! Whatever. I had the chicken tenders because I’m a child and prefer meat without bones and my BF had the luxury half chicken which had an assortment of pieces. Both of the entrees were amazing and deliciously crispy but lacked a tasty sauce. The server offered some but continuously forgot to bring it by(which is ok I guess…) Anyway I would recommend this place just call ahead of time and reserve your table. *Call in to order your food /reserve a table 30 minutes prior* Ps, I don’t know if this place is understaffed or they simply don’t want to hire more people but it could really use more servers.

I live across the plaza where this restaurant is located and usually get spicy chicken drumsticks when in mood getting something spicy. Quality of food is good, friendly service it is just takes almost 30 minutes to get your order. Other than that everything else is acceptable. Will I be back why not I LOVESPICYFOOD !

I love their Olive Luxury Chicken. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with excellent flavor. Have yet to try everything available on the menu, some of the non-fried chicken items are only OK, but so far all things fried-chicken related have been good. Keep in mind, they fry their chicken fresh to order, so it takes some time(15 – 20 minutes).

I’ve been here once before, and decided to try it again today. When we first came in, the place wasn’t too busy so we got say right away. The place itself is very small in size, and I believe it’s family owned? We ordered the French fries, spicy rice cakes, honey bee chicken, and the spicy fried chicken drum sticks. French fries– overall, it was just OKAY. The fries weren’t very crispy, and tasted kind of stale. The seasoning was very light, so it tasted pretty bland. Honey bee chicken– very good! The sticky sauce is full of flavor and comes with diced green and red peppers on top! Super crispy and delicious. Spicy chicken drumsticks– I would’ve enjoyed this one a lot more but this one should come with a warning! Dangerously SPICY! I couldn’t even finish one drumstick cuz I couldn’t handle the spice! Very very spicy! do not order this unless you have a tolerance for spicy food! Spicy rice cake– it was okay! Me being Korean, I know what real authentic spicy rice cakes tastes like, and this one itself was very watery and didjt have much flavor in it. The man working by himself was very kind, and was a hard worker, constantly working, and budding tables. I’m assuming he’s maybe the son of the owner? The lady that everybody talks about here is pretty grouchy and miserable looking, so I definitely think that she should try to interact with her guests more, which I believe will bring in more regular and loyal customers. Trust me. A restaurant really needs great customer service in order for guests to come back, and recommend this place to their friends and family. I would come back to try their other items on their menu soon!

The name of the game in the restaurant business is serve good food and be consistent about this. It’s hard to do with hired help but BBQ chicken manages to get this right every time. Without fail, the chicken is spot on. I love the double crunch. The batter is always perfectly layered on, the chicken is moist and always piping hot when it’s served. I have never had it to go but that might be a thought. It takes forever to order on the spot. I will definitely order ahead if ever dining in.

This is probably one of my fave places to pick up food for the fam when we’re craving wings! It’s midway between work and home, so it’s pretty convenient to stop in. The only issue is parking, which is always a hassle, but midweek is slightly less hectic. I recommend calling in your order before stopping in. It will save you a ton of time and you won’t get tempted by other food fare in the area while you wait. My usual order has been 10 of the garlic wings and a mix of either teri-q, double crispy or sweet bbq flavors. 20 pieces usually gets us full! Don’t forget to ask for radish. The cubes of pickled radish refreshes the palate as you scarf down them wings. Beside wings, I love the royal tteokboki. The sweet soy also goes really well with the chicken and the sauce isn’t spicy, which is a nice change from the traditional pepper paste tteokboki. And if you dine in, beer is also a good choice lol. They’ve got a nice selection of pitchers and beers!

It was late and my friend really wanted some fries for dinner on our way home from Costa Mesa so I took her here. It’s been on my bookmarks for a while and I knew she would like this place. I’ve also been wanting to try Korean fried chicken to see what the fuss is about. We walked in and the waiter at the counter asked us if we were eating here or togo and I said here. He let us choose where we wanted to sit and we decided to sit in a big booth. He gave us both menus to look over. He gave us some time to decided what we wanted and then swooped in to take our order. My friend got waffle fries and their mac and cheese. I ordered their Luxury Olive Oil half chicken and we both got sodas to drink. We ordered separately, but we shared all our food. First came our drinks and then the waffle fries. I normally don’t like waffle fries that much because they’re never crispy enough, but these were awesome. They were super crispy and crunchy and I really loved the seasoning. It was slightly spicy and reminded me of cajun fries. Next came the mac and cheese, it was super cheesy. I really loved their mac and cheese, the cheese sauce was pretty thin and wasn’t too salty. It came with a lot of cheese sauce so I dipped some of the waffle fries in it and that was amazing. Lastly we got our chicken. The skin and coating of the chicken was good and had that same spicy seasoning as the fries. It’s just the chicken meat itself was pretty gross. It was too plump like it was injected with salt water, except it was pretty bland. The texture of it was almost like rubber. I was really disappointed, I really wanted to like this place, but the chicken just wasn’t that great. My friend still enjoyed this place though, so that was good. Everything was great here, except for the chicken, sadly. I really want to give this place a second chance though, maybe next time I’ll give their wings a try.

The wings here are definitely the cripsy-est wings I ever have! We got the got the mad garlic wings 10 pcs($ 9.95). If you love garlic then this is for you. You can smell the taste from far away and definitely taste it in every single bite when eating this. And we tried their wild barbecue wings 10 pcs($ 9.95) I had better barbecue favor wings before. Taste like your average barbecue sauce. The food here takes a bit longer than your average wing place because these are deep fried twice so that’s why they are so crispy. Buy their wings are always fresh, moist, hot and flavorful. The guy who serve us was friendly and he was patient with us since it was our first time there. He also kept our water cups filled! Sometime parking can be a bit difficult during lunch and dinner time since its in a plaza with so many other restaurants

Get the meal deal for 4 people. You’re getting wings and more chicken, a side dish, and a pitcher of beer. For about 10 bucks a person? I’m sorry I can’t recall the price. It was worth it though. They have what they like to call their Korean Hot chicken. It’s not that spicy and not what I’m used to the original drumstick in K-town in NYC. Those are lightly breaded fried and the taste is within that batter somehow. here it’s breaded and fried and then drizzled with more of a sweet-spicy sauce. It’s decent, but nothing compared to legit Korean fried chicken wings. Still, this is good and then you can choose another type of chicken, we got the double crunch wings which were more like a KFC style. Then a side of dakkbuki and a pitcher of beer. It takes awhile for the food to come out, they seem to be making it fresh. Service is ok, friendly and somewhat attentive. I was craving chicken wings/fried chicken and having the beer come with it was a nice add on. It’s a fun atmosphere to come with a small group so you can take advantage of the meal deal.

Unilocal 2015 Challenge #78 Chicken Wings. What more can you ask for? Came here on a Wednesday evening around 7pm and was immediately seated. They have chicken wings, chicken drumsticks, and chicken thighs. Yes haha of course they have more choices but come here for chicken. Ordered off the dinner special, where I got BB wings(which were sauceless and supposedly hot) and came with 2 side orders(I chose fried rice and french fries). Total was ~ $ 9. My friends got garlic wings and they got the waffle fries. The waffle fries were huge hehe and they were pretty good(not chick-fil-a good, but good in their own respect). The fries that came with mine were thin and were good since they were still hot. The BB wings were dry and kinda needed something to counteract the dryness but all in all it was alright for me. It’s not too hot, very mild. The fried rice tasted different in a good way: P You have to try it to describe it haha. What really gives it 3 stars is it takes about 15 – 25 minutes for your food to come after you order it. They might have to go find the chicken first crossing Jamboree Road or something because I dunno why else it would take that long. I mean, they don’t make it til you order it(cuz it’s hot when it comes to your table) but… why so long? Garlic wings had slabs of garlic paste on one side, so it was kinda disproportionate. Fan of garlic though? You’ll enjoy it. Yay. In Diamond Jamboree next to Urban Seoul and Phở Saigon Pearl
