Both the chicken and gyro were dry so I won’t be coming back. The Mediterranean place inside wholesome choice is much better. Honestly, if I go to an «ethnic» restaurant, I want to see at least one employee belonging to that ethnic group working there.

I found out about this place through Unilocal and figured it was worth a shot. I’m glad i tried it because it is actually pretty good. I ordered the half chicken plate and shared it with my mom. It came with two sides and we picked veggies and hummus. It was a lot of food, even for two people. The food was good, not mouthwatering though. We sat at the tables outside and it was nice. This is a good place to go for an easy and chill lunch. Also, make sure to check in so you can get a free fountain drink!

This place is great! My husband and I heard about it from a friend and literally go once a week. We get there awesome CD Salad with a side of hummus and some extra pita bread and we don’t break the bank eating here either! Service is nice and the food is super good! Try this place out we have taken friends and eaten on the patio no complaints and great place when you have had a long day at work and don’t wanna cook but don’t want to poison yourself with fast food.

Luke 23:34: Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do. Matthew 27:46: My God, My God, why have you forsaken me? While not exactly matching the importance of the Last Seven Words From the Cross, Chicken Dijon has definitely forsaken me as a customer and they do not know what to do when they screw up an order. I walked in and in very clear English, ordered a combo plate of Chicken and Gyro with sides of veggies and hummus, extra side of rice, extra pita and baklava. In very clear computerese, my order was inputted correctly and submitted to Master Chef Will for processing. I should have been on high alert since we could see the previous order was messed up but we thought that Will would learn from his mess-up and get our order correctly. But like an airline that fails to make needed changes after a crash, Will messed up our order too: The Gyro gone missing. Now, this is a common Firstworld problem and unlike a Third World Problem of shortage of food, this is easily resolved. Except Master Chef Will was perplexed. When I explained the situation, three times in perfect English, Will’s response was basically: A. I could make you a meal for free tomorrow or B. Have fun disputing with your CC company. Really Will? I just wanted some take out to watch a movie with(Flight, with Denzel Washington. I have a morbid sense of humor so I thought a movie about a plane crash, before I stepped on board my flight on Sunday, would be rather amusing. Except the Flight Blue-Ray from Blockbuster was broke and my trip on Sunday was cancelled at last moment. I’m blaming Will). So although I like the food here, that response due to Will’s mistake was unacceptable. Just make me up some damn Gyro and have it ready in five minutes, not tomorrow. Throw in a free water or soda too(which you offer as a Unilocal check in). We will indeed dispute the charge and never set foot in this restaurant. I used to be the Duke here too. Pity. Urban Plates is opening soon and Hen House is one block away. I can get better non-Asian take out elsewhere in Irvine.

3 ½ stars??? Are you kidding me? I just gave one star for making everything sour which I like, and another star for the buy one/get one free coupon I used. Half chicken is a size of a quail, the side of two falafels are a piece of burnt sodium full charcoal balls, tabbouleh is oil soaked chopped green onions, gyro is dried and smelly like a runner’s sock or something, and hummus is just nothing special. Chicken tasted like it’s been in the oven or whatever they cook it with for at least 4 days until the meat gets super dry and crumbly.(Like when you cook chicken like cooking pulled pork to the point when the meat is not just mushy but it crumbles…) there’s no such thing as «seasoning» in the meat, just salt and burnt bitter flavor on the rubbery skin. Falafels, I just threw them out the balcony to add small rocks to my garden. Store bought pita breads are just nonsense. I wonder what they use to make the gyro, gathering all the odors from athletes(no offense, just a metaphor) socks and mix them with some kinda flour then burn them till they become salty rubber pieces??? I almost thought I got the worst food purposely because I used a Coupon! :(

Chicken was dry like the others have stated. If your restaurant has the word chicken in it don’t you think it should be the best thing on the menu? Not so much. Don’t get a side of hummus with your meal… it’s not very good and the amount of pita they give you isn’t enough to finish it and then you just have a waste of money sitting leftover on your plate. Get the potato salad though… so light and refreshing, has more of a lemon base than mayonnaise and it’s seriously good.

If you are looking for something healthy and delicious look no more. This place has the perfect mixture of healthy food and bold taste to keep people coming back 2– 4 times in the same work week. I always get the Parrito wrap and ask for the garlic on the side. If you are not a big fan of garlic like me make sure you let them know or ask them to put in on the side. This establishment does like to mix a lot of its food with it so be warned. Other than that no complaints. Will keep coming here often. This is also a great place to come after the gym and when you are dieting.

I bought a bunch of Groupons but looking forward to using the last one soon because the burp-factor is getting to me no matter what I order(chicken and/or gyros).

I have been wanting to try this place for a long time. I finally went for lunch today, and it was delicious! I ordered the Chinese Chicken Salad, and added on a bowl of Chicken Vegetable Soup. The soup had a slight cinnamon taste to it, to me. It was so good — and I have a sore throat so it hit the spot. The salad was a good size and really good. I will definitely be back! The pita and tabhoulli(spelled wrong Im SURE) is FANTASTIC too!

Chicken is a little dry but the garlic sauce can change that. I had to slab on sauce every time I took a bite … eventually ran out of sauce before I finished my chicken. CD House Salad is lip smacking delicious! I love how the lettuce is on top of a bed of rice. Very filling.($ 9) Mediterranean fries are probably my favorite here. The fries are perfectly crispy with garlic and feta cheese. Overall, it’s just mediocre. Convenience factor since it’s close to UCI I suppose. But if I had the time I’d rather drive to Chicken Maison.

Pros: Garlic sauce Cons: Chicken is kinda dry Went here today for lunch and got a ½ chicken plate(around $ 10 with 2 sides). The chicken here is good, but I’ve definitely had better. The dark meat portion was nice and tender, but the white meat portion was pretty dry. What saved the chicken was their garlic sauce. I pretty much dipped every bite into that sauce. Delicious. If only the chicken was as good as that sauce…

3.5 stars Their mediterranean fries are delicious! Chicken noodle soup is pretty good too. As for the other food, they’re decent. I’ll admit though, their chicken is pretty dry. I don’t mind dry chicken, but if I think the chicken is dry, I can’t imagine how dry it must be for others. Friendly service.

You know, Chicken Dijon is very good, and comes so close to earning a full 5 stars. The only reason it doesn’t is because I think the chicken could be a little more flavorful. It’s cooked perfectly and is as juicy as you’d want, but there is little seasoning on the surface of the skin, and no brine to give the interior meat flavor. The result? I have to constantly dip it in sauce. The falafel is very good, but the Mediterranean fries are out of this world! They’re already perfectly crunchy fries, but parmesan, feta, garlic, and parsley take them to a new level. Nice portions, decent price, and good food make Chicken Dijon a new place in my restaurant repertoire.

I came back with a Groupon in hand to try out Chicken Dijon once again, however, this time fell flat. I ordered the chicken and rice lunch special, with shredded rotisserie chicken on top of rice pilaf with a side salad and pita bread. The chicken was just too cold, stale and extremely dry. The rice pilaf is just standard. The pita bread also lacks warmness and felt like if it was just taken out of the bag, cut up and put on my plate. I really hope that the fact that I used a Groupon didn’t affect the quality of my meal. But I was extremely disappointed. I believe I would not return.

The chicken here is inconsistent. On some days, the chicken is dry. Most recently, we used a Groupon and ordered 4 chicken breast pieces(for only $ 1 extra) and all of them were juicy and tender. I was pretty shocked, to say the least, as it tasted completely different from the last time. As for the sides, the rice and steamed veggies were okay. Good side dishes to the chicken. The steamed veggies were on the bland side, nothing a little dash of salt and pepper could solve. The pita bread was cold and dry, but a good way to pick up shredded pieces of chicken and scoop up some of their garlic paste. In all honestly, if you’re in the area, you’re better off going to Costco and ordering a rotisserie chicken for $ 6. Then again, you have to fight through the lines, and you don’t get the accompanying side dishes or pita bread. It’s all about convenience.

Although I thought the gyro was good last time I think it was a really weak 4-star review… it should have probably been 3 stars. I tried it again– Greek Salad with Chicken. Way overpriced, in my opinion. I didn’t think it was anything spectacular and I was fishing to find the pieces of chicken that I paid extra for. The people there have never been particularly friendly but mostly stoic. I wish this would be a go-to spot for me at lunch but I think it’s time to move on.

Chicken Dijon is a quick, casual restaurant that specializes in rotisserie chicken and Mediterranean fare. We have eaten at this establishment at least four times now and are well on our way to becoming regulars. The food here is delicious and healthy; service is quick and friendly; prices are moderate; and the place is clean and well-maintained. We came here to carbo load the night before the Surf City Marathon. This is what I ate for my pre-race meal: –¼ White Meat Chicken with two sides(Baked Potato and Green Salad) –Two pieces of Pita Bread(which came with Garlic Sauce on the side for dipping) –Mediterranean Fries(topped with Feta Cheese and served with Ketchup on the side for dipping) GOODEATS: The ¼ piece of chicken was delicious in spite of it being on the dry side. Chicken Dijon’s chicken can be hit or miss depending on its texture and flavor. We ordered the Mediterranean Fries for the first time which turned out extra hot, crispy and tasty with mixed flavorings of garlic and Feta. The baked potato was fluffy, soft and delicious. I also enjoyed the green salad which had just the right amount of vinaigrette dressing. ADDITIONALCOMMENTS: I wish the Pita Bread was served warm.

Stopped in with a friend for dinner last week. Due to the longest mani-pedi session of our lives, we didn’t get here until after 8 pm. We each ordered the ½ chicken with two sides, and a drink. Only $ 10 a meal, not bad! For her sides, she went with the green salad and Mediterranean Fries, I went with Hummus and Rice Pilaf. The food was out pretty quickly. I am a chicken skin snob, and I don’t like it fatty or soggy… I love it crisp and flavorful. Unfortunately, I think this chicken had been sitting around awhile. The skin was no longer crisp, it was kind of soggy and there was too much fat under the skin. The flavor was great, but I think it’s best to come here to get chicken earlier than 8 pm. The chicken meat was a little dry, but tasty. The Hummus was average, as was the Rice Pilaf. She really liked her fries, and i’m not sure what she thought of the salad. We were also served two pieces of pita bread with a side of garlic sauce. The garlic sauce was good, really creamy and not too overpowering. If I lived over here I would probably go again in the middle of the day when the chicken is most likely more fresh, but since this is not close, I doubt I will go out of my way to eat there again. I have Rosine’s right down the street from my house, and this place did not compare!
