Christine Liu, OD

Dr. Liu is very professional, knowledgable and has great bedside manners. I have been going to her for many years and have also referred all my family and friends to her. Dr. Liu has been extremely helpful with all my healthcare needs and concerns. She has never made me felt rushed and pushed me out. She is always patient and willinging to answer all my questions. She has been invaluable to me and i will continue to see Dr. Liu where she goes.

Very good experience! Dr. Liu took the time to examine me well and explain everything properly. She has the ability to make you feel really relaxed like you are just talking to your neighbor, rather than checking for scary diseases like, glaucoma, cateracts, or diabetes. Then before you know it, the exam is over and you’re free to go, new prescription in hand.
I don’t have insurance which usually makes things way more expensive. And even with insurance, I always seemed to be paying more when I’ve been to other eye doctors I’ve used, and usually with more hassle.
The only thing was they didn’t tell and I forgot to ask was if they have my prescription contacts in stock already, or tell me how much they’d be to buy. So I’ll have to call back but luckily they’re in my usual Costco so I’m always there every other week anyway. It did take a week to get an appointment which was the only hardship. But it’s possibly because I called the week of July 4^th and they’re more busy at this time. I’ll forgive just this once.

Yes Dr. Liu is as good as it gets! Helpful, very passionate about her patients and is always a breath of fresh air

Great optometrist. I no longer had insurance through my employer, so I could not afford the $ 120 eye exam fee at my preferred optometrist. So when I went to Costco and saw the price of the exam at $ 49, I walked right in. Luckily, they take walk-​ins, if their schedule permits, and I was in and out of there in about 10 – 15 minutes with my new prescription. I have to say, I didn’t expect much at that price, but she was as good as, if not better, than my original optometrist. Highly recommended. Don’t pay more when you can get the same quality exam here.

Amazing optometrist! Dr. Liu is a very comfortable person to be around.
I have been there for 2 eye exams, one for me and one for my mom a while back. Both times were very pleasurable.
She’s patient, and she makes sure you leave with all questions answered and taken care of.
I got a new prescription for a pair of Oakley sunglasses, which turns out that it won’t be able to fit into the frame. So I will be back for a follow up, to get contacts instead. I paid $ 49, and an exam for new contacts user is somewhere between $ 114-​$ 134, and they’d subtract what I had paid for my original prescription. So we’ll see how that goes!

So… I thought everything was great with my visit to Dr. Liu. I didn’t have vision insurance at the time, hence my visit there. Super affordable if you don’t have it. During my visit, I got my contact prescription updated… yay! Seeing clearly again!
I ended up getting vision insurance through my employer and therefore, wanted to get my glasses through the insurance. I couldn’t do this via Dr. Liu, so I had my glasses prescription called in to a provider covered by my insurance. Glasses came in and whoa! Did Dr. Liu’s office send the right prescription? I couldn’t see ANYTHING with the new glasses. Confirmed that no, that was supposed to be my glasses prescription. Uhh. no.
I don’t know if Dr. Liu’s office had a ‘problem’ with me filling my glasses elsewhere or something — but the prescription was not right. They also said that I has astigmatism, which during my eye-​test with the new eye doctor, it turns out I didn’t.
So now — I’ve had to pay for two eye exams and had to pay out of pocket for my new glasses because Dr. Liu’s prescription was used by my insurance — on glasses that weren’t right for me.
I’m disappointed in service I received regarding my glasses prescription from them; for that reason — I won’t ever go back.

Got my eyes checked here recently. Great service, awesome atmosphere, and made me feel very comfortable. Will definitely be back for my eye exams!
