Oh how I miss thee. You were always there for me when I wanted a delectable lunch. And you never failed to please me with your endless enthusiasms and cute white floppy hats. But alas all good things must come to an end. How I wish it wasn’t so. You shall be sorely missed oh amazing crêpe place of many wonders. I just wish I could have given you this review before your untimely end. If only my one review would have saved you. I shall miss thee always. Love your hungry friend, Me

«Once in a young lifetime one should be allowed to have as much sweetness as one can possibly want and hold.» –Judith Olney A quaint little creperie with décor and furniture that emulates a little roadside French café has been serving up just the ‘right amount of sweetness one can possibly want to hold’ for quite a while now. I’ve never taken the time to eat inside, but occasionally swing by for a yummy crêpe to go. It is the prefect dessert to walk out with, as they serve it in a flattened snow-cone cup. Solves the problem of making a mess too. Service has always been ok, and pricing is consistent with other eateries at the Irvine Spectrum Center. The flavors are always delicious. On this particular visit, I tried their Dulce Treat: «Freshly sliced bananas and sweet strawberries covered with dulce de leche and real whipped cream.» Bananas and strawberries are evenly distributed with just the right amount of dulce de leche sauce ribbons. Topped with fluffy whipped crème, its a fabulous dessert on an early summer evening!

Yummm! I could eat breakfast, lunch and dinner here, all day every day! I LOVE the crepes here! I’m a HUGE dessert person so I’ve only gotten dessert crepes the few times I’ve been here. I forget the names, but the one with strawberry, banana and nutella is soooo good! And at only $ 7 for a regular sized crêpe, it’s not too pricey either! I’m a little hesitant on trying the non-dessert ones since I’ve never tried them before. But I’d definitely stop by for a crêpe whenever I’m at the Spectrum for a little snack.

Ok, my boyfriend is upset about my 1 star saying I ruined his crêpe experience while we are at the Irvine Spectrum because he feels bad about my review… sooo, let me review it while I am not furious. Their crepes are still not better than Main Place Crêpe Maker. Even the first time we went(before my awful experience) I remember I was not as satisfied. The crepes are good but not delectable(as a crêpe should be). I believe it’s the batter, they do something different. So there, unbiased review solely on their food.

I have only been here once and it was decent. I was hoping for more flavor in the crepes. They are huge and great to share.

I always walk past this place when I’m at the Spectrum, but never got myself to go, even though I’ve always wanted to. Finally came here late night for some dessert. I wasn’t particularly hungry, nor was my bf, but we decided to get a crêpe just because. We ordred the I Like it Too crêpe which has strawberries, nutella, tiramisu, and whipped cream(which we opted out of). The crêpe itself was good, but it wasn’t «omg, this is to die for». Nonetheless, we still enjoyed the crêpe. Irvine doesn’t have any other crêpe place, at least none that I know of, so I guess CrepeMaker will have to do.

I’ve always walked by CrepeMaker when I shop at the Spectrum but I never really thought about checking this place out. My friend recommended this place so we decided to give it a shot. We came here around 7pm on a Thursday night and there were only a few other customers. We were able to order right away and our food came out within 10 minutes. I got the Opulence crêpe, which is made with chicken breast, artichoke hearts, portabella mushrooms, melted mozzarella cheese, and pesto sauce. This was really delicious! The crepes are all made to order, so they are all warm and the cheesy is very cheesy/melted! I would definitely order this again in the future, but it was pretty rich(especially near the end) from all the cheese and pesto sauce.( )

This location is located at Irvine Spectrum which makes it convenient if you’re craving something sweet. It was quite busy when I went but we still got our crepes fairly quickly. They have limited seating inside. There are TV screens on the wall which shows us how they make our crêpe orders and such. I got a nutella, strawberry and banana crêpe. Overall it was decent, but I wouldn’t come here again. Prices are bit high for what you get, but the crêpe itself didn’t taste bad.

It’s a trendy creperie… no surprise. Indoor and outdoor seating, immediately before Dave & Buster’s, and definitely a welcomed afternoon treat! We watched them make our crepes and my son got a kick out of that. Everyone loved their selections. Ingredients are obviously fresh and menu has such a huge array from sweet, salty, savory. My son’s favorite has to be the pizza crêpe. I forgot to take a photo… Oops. But it’s pretty self explanatory. Always a favorite treat with my family!

Coming back from Berkeley, I have been suffering from crêpe-withdrawals. There are just not as many crêpe places within walking or biking distance(IHOP does not count). The one street-style creperie in OC is Crepemaker at Irvine Spectrum. Crepevine is a national chain, but they do well. Entrée crepes are about $ 7 – 8, and some are offered as smalls — around $ 4 – 6. Dessert crepes are around $ 5 – 7 and some are offered as smalls too. They also offer salads, fancy coffee drinks(I think I also saw a red velvet hot cocoa being advertised, but the bright red color looked scary and artificial to me), specialty drinks, flatbreads, and kid-sized crepes. There are two combo deals you can get($ 9.95): small salad+small entrée crêpe+drink, or small entrée crêpe+small dessert crêpe+drink. 3 of us ordered the latter and one ordered a regular entrée crêpe. Raspberry chicken + To Die For: Raspberry chicken was so delicious with the combination of spinach, marinated chicken, cheese, fresh tomatoes, and walnuts under a perfect spread of raspberry preserves. Super good. The To Die For. Effin’, they put a NEWYORKCHEESECAKE in my crêpe, with STRAWBERRIES, BANANAS, ANDNUTELLA. Friggin’ awesome. I don’t like plain cheesecake(tofu cheesecake FTW) but when it’s enrobed in a Triple Treat crêpe(see below), it seriously is something«To Die For.» California crêpe + triple treat: California crêpe was okay and could have used more pine nuts. We think we saw, like, one pine nut in the whole wrap. Triple treat is nutella, bananas, strawberries, and whipped cream. Always a good combo in a crêpe. BF got a regular steak something. There was ham in there too. Looked tasty, he seemed satisfied. For about $ 10 for these combos, I think it’s a good deal, but if they only offer fountain drinks for the drink, at least have good iced tea. Their unsweetened tea was nasty. But the crepes were great.

Since my friends and I were craving some sort of dessert(one of them craved something savory), we decided to check this place out at the Spectrum since crepes can be both sweet and savory depending on what you order. My sister and I decided to share a NUTELLASOLO(Nutella chocolaty spread on a crisp CrêpeMaker crêpe) because she wanted something sweet and simple and not too filling. The NUTELLASOLO was a very nice touch to end our tiring day with dessert(we shared because we ate a lot of fried food already at a county fair early on throughout the day). The Nutella was very chocolately but not too much because it was also hazelnutty. It was around $ 5.00 which was alright. Though I do wonder if it would be the same if I bought crêpe mix and nutella and tried it at home, that would be cheaper, but would it be as good? Not sure. I also was able to take a bite of my cousin’s CHICKENPESTOCREPE(which I can’t find on their website menu). It was amazingly good. For the price? Not so sure but I haven’t eaten at many crêpe places to make a price comparison. I wouldn’t mind checking this place out if I were ever craving crêpe, but I would love to try a savory, entrée crêpe during that next visit. For now though, CrepeMaker for me was A-OK, not yet a fan.

Dear CrepeMaker, Thank you for driving away a huge crêpe fan. How did you do this? YOUBURNTIT. No one wants a crêpe as hard as a communion wafer. Maybe if you spent more time watching what the heck you were doing instead of flirting with your coworker, the food would have been halfway decent. Regards

I really like crepes because I get to eat a ton of Nutella without feeling too guilty because I tell myself I’m eating strawberries and bananas with it too. I like the taste of the sweet crepes here quite a bit but it’s just so expensive. To be honest, the only reason why I came here despite coming to Spectrum pretty much every other week was because my boyfriend had not tried a Nutella crêpe before and I was APPALLED. I mean how could anyone not have at least tasted something so simple but amazing? So we got here and ordered the Triple Treat. Lots of Nutella, bananas, strawberries and whipped cream. I thought it was stuffed really nicely and I loved the fact that the crêpe wasn’t reduced to a super soggy mess at the end. Needless to say, we ate every bite If my boyfriend wasn’t there, I would have licked the plate. I’m still looking for a good crêpe place in the OC but until then I don’t mind coming here. 3⁄5

Didn’t get the crepes cause looked a bit pricey and wasn’t that hungry. But got the red velvet chocolate drink. DON“T GET. it tastes like batter. very strong chocolate taste if you like red velvet. I didn’t want to give it any lower since I didn’t try the other stuff but the red velvet drink sounds interesting but tastes awful. not much place to sit but interesting that they have a live screening of them making your crêpe.

Rude high school or college part time workers who obviously could care less. Over priced crepes. As other reviewers have noted, many times overcooked. When a crêpe is overcooked, it is basically ruined and just wait a bit, it becomes hard and crisp, never what a crêpe should be! Also their only choice of chocolate is Nutella. Nutella is barely chocolate as it is and has high hazelnut flavor content. So if you do not like hazelnuts, you are completely screwed. Other crêpe places have both the Nutella and Ghiradehlli chocolate sauce(much preferable in my opinion). Did I mention overpriced and overcooked? Management was literally non-existent, so I was stuck dealing with could-care-less-girl. I notice many good reviews seem to be from younger people, people who might not have experienced good or great food in their lives. Will not return

*Disclaimer — I am not a professional«crêpe-critic,» nor would I ever proclaim that title even if I was… I’m simply a Unilocal*er. ‘Was meeting SH for lunch & was about to walk in The Veggie Grill when I looked across the way and saw CrepeMaker. Just about every other restaurant was packed… ‘Except this place. Big hesitation but after pulling up my Unilocal*app, felt a bit better after seeing the«not so terrible» rating. Plus, I can actual review a new place instead of just Checking In — with my original«Quick Tip» of «Yum!». I browsed over the menu, briefly spoke with the lady in front of me about the selections… When it came time for me to order, I was helped by Stacy who was running the register and the tables. Stacy was very helpful and answered my usual round of pre-ordering, first time here, 21 questions. Upon her recommendation, I tried The Opulence — Photo — ‘And grabbed a bottle of Arrowhead water near the register. Total w/tax: $ 10.28 I’d have to say it was pretty good. 8) It comes in a paper cone«holder-thingy…» ‘Like a snow cone but with a crêpe… Okay, this is different. «Crêpe in a Cone» — The customer that I first spoke to in line ordered the Cordon Bleu Crêpe. She had hers laying flat on the plate and sallied forth with a plastic fork and knife in hand. I admit I briefly thought of going that route but wanted to try and eat the crêpe as intended… Didn’t make as big of a mess as I’d feared.(‘But, it was still a mess. ‘No fault of the crêpe mind you, just me.) Wasn’t sure what to expect based on the varying reviews but it was good. Like another Unilocal*er wrote, marinated artichoke hearts! «Winnahs!!» Like mentioned before in other Unilocal*views, the crepes are made to order, right there on the spot and in plain view. Photo — The ingredients also tasted pretty fresh. Cordon Bleu Crêpe, next on my to-try list. Partial Menu of Entrée Crepes — The dessert crepes looked and sounded tasty… My to-try list just keeps getting larger as well as my waist size. 8/ Food: 4 Ambiance: 3 Service: 5 Value: 3

After dinner at Veggie Grill my friends and I were hankering for a sweet little something-something and one of my friends suggested the Crepemaker. Since it was directly across from the Veggie Grill it was very convenient. They have quite a diverse menu of both sweet and savory crepes, and after much head scratching we settled on the«Bad Girl» crêpe to share. Seemed apropos – we were good girls at the Veggie Grill, and now it was time to be bad girls. What’s in a «Bad Girl?» Well, there are the strawberries soaked in Grand Marnier, dulce de leche, cinnamon, powerdered sugar, and maybe chocolate syrup, too, i forget. It was kind of a «kitchen sink» thing so we went for it. It was about $ 7 for the crêpe, but it’s quite sizable and perfectly fine for three people to share if they want just a few bites of dessert. The crêpe came to us all folded and wrapped with a paper cone at the bottom to faciliate eating without utensils(although since there were three of us we did end up needing some utensils). We could smell the Grand Marnier wafting up from the fresh warm crêpe, and it was really delicious. Perfect ending to a very nice meal. I think this place is owned by a Japanese person, as these are more Japanese-style crepes, according to my friend who’d eaten similar crepes in Japan. And the place had such over-the-top Frenchified décor it couldn’t have possibly been owned by a real French person, is my guess. All in all, delish and intriguing – I want to come back and try some of the other varieties!
