I’ve been to Del Taco more than I should last quarter. and I’m ashamed to say I absolutely enjoyed it. (I won’t be back now since I’m on a «diet»)
Anywho, I usually only come at night when I go to Del Taco, either after practice or just randomly. The lady that works there is always there at night, so I give you major props for sticking with the job and us annoying customers (hopefully I’m not too annoying). The strawberry lemonade is good (ensure that you get light ice), and it’s made of real strawberries! There’s strawberry chunks at the end that you can eat; yummy!
Every thing else on the menu is. average. The fries weren’t super good, but put in some salt, it’s slightly better than microwaving some yourself. The grilled chicken taco is pretty tasty but it’s really simple and easy to make, so it’s nothing worth «wow-​ing» about. I got a burrito once; it was okay. 2 for 5 $. Not too shabby. The vanilla soft serve I got once tasted sorta creamy.
Not bad!

The only reason they get two stars is because it’s hard for me to resist their chicken soft tacos at 1 a.m. but I’ve never been so disappointed by chili cheese fries in my entire life. There was one small section of cheese and the chili was cold and only in the center with stale fries around it. Definitely put a damper on my evening.

Basic foods, but good basic. I mean what more do you expect? It is cheap and fast Mexican food and you can’t really go wrong unless you are on a diet… I go here every week for late night binge lol

The food is very good, and the prices really can’t be beat. If you can handle it, on one of the Taco Tuesdays you could get 6 tacos for $ 4.50 i think it was, or maybe even less.
The service is good as well. I went there 3 or 4 times a week for the 9 months I was in Irvine, and I found them very friendly. I got to know Brian the night manager, and I forgot the two girls names, but they were really nice.
The best food is the «Big Fat Chicken Soft Taco» which is a huge chicken taco. There was a combo for 2 of those that I got when it wasn’t a Taco Tuesday/​Thursday.
One issue is the clientele that this place attracts, or at least attracted one September night. I was «searched» by mentally challenged inebriated frat boys who claimed to be undercover cops.

my guilty pleasure is Del Taco bean an cheese burrito, but this location stops any cravings based on their hard tortillas, burnt beans and manager that plays on his cell phone and caused extended wait time, 2^nd time this month and SAME exact bad experience. This one has gone down hill, will never go again. Try the del taco locations on bristol in Newport near 73 or the one off 17^th on the Newport/​Costa Mesa border those two seem to have their stuff in order.

My friend went through the drive through and order a Sprite as part of his order and the girl was super rude and condescending and was like «okay, fries!» We kept trying to tell her it wasn’t fries and she cut us off and charged us for fries –_​– my friend never got his drink. Lol so ridiculous… Slightly dumb

I tried two Bean & Cheese Burritos with a «Buy 1 Get 1 Free» coupon. Just $ 1.08 and tasty! Really worth it. But the drive through is not available now.

Used to be a good service. Now new manager. Not same! Be aware ! They make many mistakes. They need to train people for customer service before taking.

Oh Del Taco. What can I say? I’ve been going to this particular Del Taco for over 10 years. Granted I don’t necessarily eat here often but every once in awhile, my family and I get the craving for their tacos. The thing is, I don’t even think that their tacos are necessarily good. Yet, I find myself here on a random Tuesday every 4 months or so ordering 30 tacos at a time. Over the years I’ve seen this restaurant change. Some for the better, some for the worse. For example, the service has definitely gotten worse over the years. They don’t even bother smiling anymore! But, their hot sauce has gotten spicier over the years which is a good thing.
Basically, I only come here for their Taco Tuesday. You can’t really beat 3 tacos for a $ 1.09. I’ve also tried their grilled chicken tacos which are actually pretty good. We occasionally splurge on their chili cheese fries which are okay but sometimes you just want fast food fries. Anyways, I don’t necessarily recommend eating here, but sometimes you just want to eat fast food tacos for cheap. ³⁄₅

Is it because it’s Tuesday? The drive-​thru is heavily backed up so I walked in to order. I quickly placed my order then the waiting began. There are out of salsa but no one was available to refill. Tables were dirty too. The only reason nudged me to come is the bogo coupon. 2 bean&cheese burritos for $ 1 is good for the wallet.

I dont like it. So dry and not healthy. The best thing is that it opens 24 hours, that’s it

I cannot speak for the service or the food that you get when you walk in and order. My review is solely on the drive through service. I had never eaten at del taco before so I decided to order a spicy grilled chicken burrito. That was the worst burrito I had ever eaten. It didn’t just taste horrible, it looked horrible too. It was like they just took some food out of the fridge and sold it. Honestly speaking, Taco Bell has much better burritos for a lower price. Don’t go here if you want quality fast food. Well, at least don’t go through the drive through.

I just left. Apparently they don’t use gloves when preparing food here. I saw the girl wipe the counter with a dirty rag, then start to prepare my food. Asked her if she’s supposed to have gloves on, and THEN she put them on. I feel sorry for everyone who went thru the drive thru right then because what ever was on that rag is on your tacos now!

Great food. Great service. What more can you ask for. The cashier late at night is always on top of things and delivers fast quick service.

This Del Taco satisfies my hunger cravings every time. I started coming here first as a student and now I have graduated and still come to eat at this Del Taco. The service is friendly and quick. I love completing their surveys on my receipts to get $ 1 off my order. Their food is always hot and fresh.
My favorite thing to order from here is their bean and cheese burrito with green sauce — BOLD. When you order bold, you get fries and sour cream with it and it’s only like .39 more. I also love their iced coffee for $ 1. It’s cheap and so tasty! Plus they’re generous with their sauces and napkins.

First time eating at Del Taco in a long time & it was fairly good! And this Del Taco was really clean!

This location was so convenient when I went to UCI. It was the best late night fast food spot within a decent walking distance and always satisfied my midnight munchies.
My favorites are the Macho Fries, Fish Tacos, Bean & Cheese Burrito, and of course, the Breakfiesta! The Breakfiesta is the best deal ever… 2 breakfast burritos and hashbrown sticks for $ 2! You can’t go wrong with that.
I don’t have a Del Taco near where I live now, which makes me miss this one even more.

This Del Taco is so-​so. Definitely not as good as my home Del Taco in Gardena.
It’s amazing how certain Del Taco locations are consistently good, meh, or bad. Employees here aren’t super friendly, it’s almost like you are bothering them when you come here. For some reason the bean burritos are SO bad here. Why??? I want to cry =(
But alas, when it’s late this is one of the few places still open in draconian Irvine.
