Denny’s

As far as Denny’s goes, this is the best one that I’ve been to.
They just renovated this place and it looks great. So CLEAN.
The staff is attentive and perky.
The food comes out in a timely manner.
The menu is constantly changing too.

Love this Denny’s! Every time I come here I get the best service and delicious food cooked to perfection! Today Jorge was so full of energy and so pleasant to be around made our lunch at Denny’s a much better experience so glad he was our server!

Best breakfast we have had in a long time. Our server Claudia was great. Hash browns were perfect.

Javier the manager is fantastic! The food is great– the service is wonderful! We keep coming back — you can’t beat this value!

This is the best Denny’s in the area. It used to be a diner and still retains some of the original ambience. The staff is very friendly. Also Denny’s has improved their offerings a lot in recent years so there are plenty of choices for healthy eaters.

It was the day before New Year’s Eve, the employees have a sign saying that they are friendly service, at that particular restaurant. With my kids, we surely tested them out, and found this to be true. The waitress and manager were actually very nice, the coffee wasn’t very good, they kindly made some new coffee for us, but it still was bitter tasting! The food was very good.

I have been a regular here and most of the time take the bar stool because the service is slightly better there. For a change i got a table today and after 10 min’s I had to go and talk to the manager to get somebody get me coffee and the struggle didn’t end there. No one took our order for the next 15 mins, again manager had to be called, no refills on coffee… it was an absolute nightmare to get anyone to serve us. I even thought we were invisible. … and can get away without anyone noticing us… …so stay with the bar stools if you can.

This is the best dennys… the manager is the best… always helping out his staff. Staff are so friendly and the cooks are good seasoned employees. Everytime we come the service is amazing and the manager is helping everyone out.

We were seated right away and our server Gustavo was very friendly and kind. The food came out in a reasonable time and was exactly as ordered. It tasted pretty good and I was so happy to get a GF muffin option. No complaints here!

Happy Thanksgiving!!! Our server Antonio start our day very well. Awesome customers service and top of the line server. Food was fast and hot. This Denny by far the best.

I went to this establishment for the first time today and man oh man, the amount of negligence I received. The waiter Melissa, did not take my order. She went around the table (there were 6 of us), asking everyone what they wanted to eat. Although I was sitting in the middle, Melissa did not ask me what I wanted. All I wanted was a splice of pumpkin pie, it cost about $ 2.00. I’m extremely disappointed. It gets worse… I asked the waiter AGAIN, she responds, «I’ll be back», but never returned. K bye.

The reason for the one star is the poor service that Marisella gave us. The Dennys never gives enough napkins and the service Marisella gave was poor. The prices go up and up and quality goes down.

Slow service and had to place the order with the cook ourselves. She was very clear she would not be able to help us for a while and that we would need to wait. As you can see she did not have a name tag. Where is our server Tony?

Great food for the price, bad service. Stopped in with and got a table for four. Service sucked, water glasses never filled, food was slow and the restaurant was dead.

Oh Dennys, I was actually pleasantly surprised with my meal here. We took my uncle to lunch for his 55^th bday because he can order off the 55+ menu now! I wasn’t really looking forward to it but I got the scramble that came with tomatoes, turkey bacon, fruit, and I asked them to sub hashbrowns instead of toast to keep it gluten free. It was actually good, better than other breakfast places I’ve been and at Denny’s the price is right.
The waiter was also great about it being my Uncle’s bday, he made him a special lemonade drink with cucumbers and strawberries in it.
The restrooms weren’t the cleanest, toilet paper on the ground and such.

I like this Dennys, the staff is always friendly and I have not had to wait here.
I know their business has probably declined due to all of the construction on Sand Canyon that seems to be never ending… but I have enjoyed the few meals I have had here. This location is near my work, and I have gone for lunch with no wait, and also for breakfast on my way in.
I recently ordered the banana bread french toast, and it was not really what I expected. It was a bit small and unexciting. It was still pretty decent, just wasnt what I expected.

The best aspect of Denny’s is that A) it’s open ²⁴⁄₇ and B) this location has free wifi, I repeat free wifi!
I never expect much from any Denny’s. This location is no different. It definitely has one of the more diner-​like ambiance going for it than many of the other Denny’s I have visited before and it’s in the Sand Canyon area of Irvine so it’s a little further away from UC Irvine.
However, since the Denny’s off Culver closed this has become a new study spot for many ‘eaters such as myself during finals week. This Denny’s has got you covered with coffee, tea and food to munch on as you utilize their free wifi and try to get away from the chaos that is finals week (aka you couldn’t find any seats at the libraries, gateway, or whatever or your roommates were annoying you or you can’t get work done at home) this is definitely the place to go.
The food’s always been so-​so to me and hit or miss. You get what you pay for and they have pretty good deals on their value menu! So be sure to check that out especially if you’re on a budget. My favorite things to get are the breakfast foods though more s than the lunch options, but maybe I have been ordering the wrong things! I got the turkey sandwich with soup and it was underwhelming.
Service here has always been or hit or miss. That and the underwhelming food you can get is why I am giving this Denny’s a fairly low rating. At times our waiters or waitresses would overlook us or not check up on us as often as we would like, so our waters would not be refilled for quite some time or if we wanted to get more food sometimes we just wouldn’t bother because… well no one bothered to ask us. However, that’s not to say that if you don’t come at odd hours — ie super later at night, this might not happen to you. But to be honest, I can’t tell you because I am really only a regular during the Finals Struggle.
But it’s affordable and you get the diner feel! So that’s always nice, plus wifi. Gotta love that wifi.
Lastly, note if you’re here to study — only use this as a study spot if you can handle some noise. There’s music in the background and at times it can get loud out of nowhere and they’ll have a rush of people.
