Edie made our loan happen. After years of thinking we just couldn’t refinance and were stuck in our loan, she found a way to not only get us a great mortgage, but got us the construction loan we so badly needed to restore our house.

EDIE IS GREAT! Edie will answer your call/​text/​email at any time. She gets per-​approvals quickly, even on Saturday and Sunday. She does not just email them a ton of docs to sign or push them off on escrow to handle the loan signing. ] is the fact that I am completely dissatisfied with Edie. Further, I’m shocked that I’m writing this after the great experience we had with her when first purchasing our home. As of this writing: I would never recommend her. She is slow, makes mistakes and uses tears as a form of manipulation to cover those mistakes. Don’t be fooled.

I first met Edie Moore (NMLS #236 041) when my husband and I bought our first home in 2012. She was the loan broker and she did a fine job.
The trouble came when we approached her this August (2014) to help us refinance our loan from an FHA to a standard. All we wanted to do was get rid of the pesky mortgage insurance. What Edie dragged us into was pure HELL on Earth. She decided that it would be great for us to do a cash-​out loan to help us get rid of the debt we incurred fixing up our duplex when we first bought it.
Sounded like a good idea to us. But, what started with, «We’ll close by the end of September, don’t worry,» first turned into «The lender says you have to close your revolving debt accounts» (upsetting, but not unheard of, so fine, we did it); next my husband was told to withdraw $ 40,000 from hi 401K to make up for the difference in the loan to value ratio based on a bad appraisal that SHE ordered. We refused to do that and asked for a second appraisal. What do you know? The second appraisal came in $ 20,000 higher than the first; at this point we’re way past the end of September closing date and we are told that we’ll close by the middle of October, since now we had to fill out a new loan application for a different amount. Meanwhile, we have to sign a plethora of affidavits and letters of explanation. Fine.
The proverbial straw was this: when we were signing the second application at our home, Edie, with her husband, Gregory Moore, as witness, told us that she would not lock on an interest rate without consulting us and obtaining our permission on the rate first. My husband and I have asked her about rates for weeks since then, while the rates were dropping. Every time we asked about the rate she would tell us she didn’t even know what it was… Pardon me, but isn’t it the broker’s job to know or be able to find out interest rates at any time of day??? LIES!!! She contacted us today (11/​07/​2014) asking if we could sign the loan docs tomorrow… When I asked her when she was planning to lock the rate, reminding her that she was supposed to ask us first, she said that she did it already and it was the high rate that she placed in the initial disclosure statement, knowing full well that interest rates have gone down since then. She knew that we wouldn’t agree to this rate so she locked it behind our backs without our knowledge or permission.
Guess what Edie? Your perfect closing record is over. You have deliberately lied to us about the interest rate, wasted three months of our lives, tarnished our credit history by making us close credit accounts in excellent standing (our credit scores average from 740 to 780), made my husband take money out of his retirement account (with all applicable fees involved), and in the end we’re back where we started. We are done doing business with you, just like our real estate agent who worked with you until last year. Too bad we didn’t listen to him this time when he warned us about you.
Edie Moore works with Data Mortgage Inc., dba Essex Mortgage. Buyer beware. Stay away from Edie Moore and from her lender. If I could give her and Essex Mortgage a negative 5000 it wouldn’t be sufficient.

I just closed on a mortgage working with Edie, and she was fantastic. Despite being self-​employed and getting a tricky FHA home improvement mortgage, she worked to meet all our needs, get us a great rate, and get all our improvments approved. We were ready to fund far before the sellers were done with their disclosures. Beyond that, she is highly organized and knowledgeable, providing thorough explanations for the seemingly endless paperwork associated with mortgages. I will definitely refinance with her when the time comes. Highly recommended!

Edie Moore is absolutly fantastic and a top notch lender! I wasn’t sure if I could buy a new home yet but Edie walked guided me and walked me step by step through the process. Edie has tons of good reviews and they are all 100% deserved! In reading through the other reviews I’m trying to think of what more I can add, but all the reviewers are totally right — Edie is nothing short of sensational.
My husband and I were in the very unique situation of needing a 203K loan to refi and renovate the home we have lived in for the last 8 years. There are not many mortgage brokers out there who know anything about 203K loans but Edie is the MASTER! She is incredibly knowledgeable and on top of that, extremely kind and patient. She answered all our questions and was literally available to us what seemed to be 24 hours a day! You could call or email her on Saturdays, Sundays, late evenings — she will always take your call or respond immediately to your e-​mail. I don’t know how she does it — she is amazing!
Throughout the loan process she was so amazing at staying on top of the bank, escrow company, appraisers, etc. It was because of her that we were able to close our loan in just a couple quick weeks — and it was EVEN over the Christmas holiday! Because of her diligence she was able to get our loan closed before the deadline to get it done in the 2013 year. Our loan was fully funded on Dec 30!
Any time we EVER need a refi or a new mortgage in the future, we will always go to Edie. If you go to anyone else you are doing yourself a disservice.

Doing an FHA Streamline can be overwhelming with the hundreds of letters and offers you get in the mail. So I went to Unilocal and found Edie.
Edie explained and worked the process for us and went over the top during the holidays. We hit a glitch along the way with one of the lenders and Edie evaluated all the options and came up with an idea that resulted in a solution. The loan funded just before the year end FHA deadline.

She consistently answered my never-​ending flow of questions in a timely manner (while never making me feel silly for asking them).
