It is getting pricey. Not sure if the company is getting cheap(less subsidizing) or if elements is getting more expensive(the food isn’t getting better to justify that). The Indian food is great, as is the grill. It’s expensive enough that it doesn’t keep me on campus anymore.

At first the rotation of different meals was decent but now it seems like it is the same thing every week… Best un-healthy option is the grille, everything else is hit or miss. Their personal pizzas aren’t bad I prefer the BBQ chicken. PS Only place that I have worked that serves Non-Alcoholic Beer! For that 1 extra star!

This is company Café food as good as it gets. Indian and Mexican specialties that taste authentic. Wednesdays are BBQ days and the Mongolian stir fry station isa healthy option. The prices are subsidized hence decent and the food is semi organic/healthy

Food quality has gone down quite a bit. Chef raj is gone and overall the quality keeps getting worse. Save yourself some money and go somewhere else. The numbers at the cafeteria have dropped quite a bit since I wrote the last review :(

My FAVORITE place to eat in Irvine… because there’s not much to eat in Irvine. Good thing my friend works here because it’s way easier to get into the cafeteria without looking like a total tourist. The first time I went to Elements Café, I was awed by the place. It was way better than my school cafeteria. The chefs are super nice and the food is always pretty good. Remember, PRETTYGOOD. On Wednesdays, they have barbeque(ranging from tri-tip to ribs) and all of the food is relatively low priced. I take every opportunity that I can to eat here. Damn, I’m Broadcom’s number one fan…

For variety and convenience, you can’t beat Elements Café if you work at the Irvine campus. Although their great deals of the past are gone, the food here is still cheaper than you can get it anywhere else and it tastes fine. I typically only order the Indian food from Chef Raj or the sushi from Chef Cydney(who is a really cool guy btw), but their other items are still good, provided that you don’t have to eat it too often.

It’s a Sad. Sad. Sad day. After many $ 3 Dinners and stuffed stomachs, The Messiah, O. G Elements Café prophet, informed us about the travesty! The Deal Nazi’s have finally enforced a strict«You have to work here /present your badge ID» to dine here! My lips trembled. THIS is as bad as walking into your parents having sex!!! What once use to be the highlight of my week and one of the cheapest places to bring a date! I no longer have a place where I can stretch that dollar! My wallet will never be the same! I’ll have very fond memories of Elements. Thanks for all the dinners. The Free Drinks. The Free Gallon of Milk. — — — — — – Rye’s Notes: *Need Friends that actually work here to enter the premise *Once you go Elements You won’t want to eat anywhere else.

Okay, I seriously need some hookup to sneak into Broadcom. I came here several times tagging along w/my co-worker to visit his friend working for Broadcom. OMG, the food is AMAZING for the price!!! Most of the entrée are under $ 5, and soft drinks and bottled water are free! Unlimited! The entrees aren’t typical cafeteria food, it’s decent food like steaks, salmon fish, gourmet burgers. Their soup is also great too… Skywork’s café cannot even compare to Broadcom, UGH! Another bonus for girls is that 90% of people works here are guys, not a bad place to come eat for guy watching… but there aren’t much cute guys tho… you are talking about engineers… and majority are from India or China… but still, even the chef will treat you extra nice and give you more food if you are a girl, b/c they don’t get too much chance to see girls here. HA!

The best thing about working at Broadcom is their café!!! Seriously, when someone ask’s me how things are here my reply is, «AMAZING, I love their café and we get free soft drinks and bottled water.» Their food is subsidized so a meal will only cost a fraction of what you would typically pay at a restaurant. Their menu changes daily but it consists of: Soup and Salad bar, Vegan grill, Pacific Rim(Asian), Pizza Oven, Panini bar and Carvery/Rotisserie. Here’s what I typically get at BRCM. Breakfast: Oatmeal and Egg Whites — $ 2.00 Sugar Free, Non-Fat Vanilla Latte– $ 1.25 Lunch: Tossed Salad to order: $ 4.00 Dinner: I typically get the special of the day and today’s special is… *Seafood Newburg Stew with Steamed Rice and Steamed Vegetables. *Carvery/Rotisserie: Wild Mushroom Carved Tri Tip with Rosemary Potatoes and Green Beans Almondine *Rotissertie Cornish Game Hens with Wild Rice Risotto and Vegetables Dinner is discounted after 6:30 pm to $ 3.00 and that inclues a soup/salad and a cookie. I heart Broadcom.

I thought it’d be fun to review a more«off-beat» entry. I guess someone has already beat me to it! This review applies to the cafeteria at Broadcom’s Irvine location, Elements Café. Dining at Broadcom is quite a treat. The food is pretty inexpensive and they prepare relatively fancy food for a corporate cafeteria(ex: seared Ahi Tuna, Prime Rib, cooked-to-order pasta, a full Vegan bar, etc). For all those employees that haven’t caught on yet… if you wait till 6:30PM, all the entrees drop to $ 3 and include a soup/salad.(A good way to keep you working, as you’re on salary anyway) As always drinks are free.

Visited my friends who work there. First of all everything is brand new… since it’s a new campus on the UCI campus. They have a Lighted outdoor basketball court. Sand Volleyball court A Gym with cardio machines, free weights, machines, with towels and locker and a Shower area. Take a little walk to the cafeteria and it’s opened til 830pm! The have a large selection, burgers, italian food, mexican bar, fish, and sometimes sushi, soups, salad… and the employees get subsidized pricing… so its like $ 3 for a meal.(this is after 6:30pm) The food itself…(been there twice now) is great for the price… but as a objective review… it is average… but for the price, it can’t be beat.
