The dreaded thought of having a root canal is not fun. However, Dr. Hutchens did a great job of saving my tooth! Even the shot of anesthesia didn’t hurt! I highly recommend them!

Who wants a root canal?! Nothing evokes more fear and displeasure than a root canal. Just the mention of it to other people and they scream in horror at the impending doom that awaits you. With that said its a negative experience no matter what. I have had a root canal before and it sucked. My jaw hurt for a month after. Well this time it was the craziest thing, i didn’t even need 1 Advil after the procedure! WTF?! How can this be? DR. Grant Hutchens and his assistant were money. Very professional, and knew exactly what they were doing. The guy looks 28 and way too young to being doing surgery on a tooth but nonetheless he went to the prestigious Boston School on Dentistry and did a fantastic job. No pain. I highly recommend Ivy Endodontic. P.S Bring in head phones, sitting there for an hour and a half was torture with no music and the sound of a drill.

Worst root canal ever! I’ve always had soft teeth and have had many root canals. This was by far, the worst! The Dr who saw me wasn’t even on the list of the Ivy group dr on prescription paper, and the assistant was clearly new, since right after she put the rubber mask on my face, she bragged to the other assistant«I did good huh?» as if this was her first time. I started getting sever headache in the middle of it, and just got worse and worse. Then this newbie assistant was trying to take my xray, and telling me, who’s numb from novacane, to «bite down». What kind of idiot will tell the numb person to bite down?! When i told her i can’t tell that I’m biting down, she told me to «calm down.» In the end, this Dr can’t even prescribe me real medication for the pain, and try to tell me to take some over the counter stuff. I will never come back to this place again, and won’t trust any dentist who’ll recommend this place.

Dr. Plaitano has restored my faith in American Dentistry. After seeing 3 dentists about an intermittent pain in two teeth that had recently been crowned by a primary dentist, none of whom were able to diagnose the problem, he knew what it was immediately. His first course of action was to prescribe medication — unfortunately this didn‘t work, as he suspected. He then did a root canal. I can only say that, in 50 years of going to dentists, I would rate him as #1 !!! Dr Plaitano is a wonderfully skilled, sensitive and compassionate man. If you need work I suggest you go to him. You will be really glad you did! I only wish he did all phases of dentistry!

I wish there was a way to give more stars! Went in to my primary dentist complaining of a toothache. They did an xray and said I’d need to either pull the tooth or get a root canal. I opted for a root canal, even though I figured it would be a while longer to get one scheduled for me and I’d have to suffer through a holiday weekend [at the very least] They gave Ivy Endodontic Group a call and they said if I rushed over there [at 3:30 pm!] they would be able to see me and perform my root canal. I got there and was greeted warmly by the staff, filled out my paperwork and was seen by Dr. Daniel Fife very quickly!!! A VERY short [painless!!!] time later, I was out the door! I cannot thank all of you enough! This must have been the quickest, least painful root canal in history!

I was having pain in one of my teeth and they worked me in right away. Everyone who works at the office is very nice. Dr Jason Cho was great. He explained my options, allowed me to ask a lot of questions(which he then answered to my satisfaction), was very gentle throughout the exam and also during the procedure I selected. I never felt rushed, but rather felt that he would spend as much time as I needed during my visits. The office is sparkling clean(I know this should be a given, but have visited other offices that were not), they seem to have all the latest equipment, and he seems to be up to date on all the latest procedures/treatments. Plus he seems like a genuinely good guy. I would highly recommend Ivy Endodontic Group to family and friends, and would return to them if I needed any other endodontic work done.
