I cannot believe that there is only one other review on Unilocal about this Dentist. I went to Dr. Ghatnekar today. I had a couple areas in my mouth that looked a little off to me so I wanted a oral cancer screening. When I called his office the person answering the phone, Julie, I think was so helpful, welcoming, and pleasant. She scheduled me for the same day to come in and have the
just an oral cancer screening.
I arrived to the office. It is beautiful and very clean. I was greeted warmly by Julie (I hope that is her name –she is the dental assistant) and Karen the front office person. They gave me paperwork to fill out and offered me a bottled water. Once I finished the paperwork Julie took me back to an exam room. I still can’t believe this but she first said to me — «can you offer you a free warm, wax hand treatment and a warm pillow for your neck». I said — free” She said yes we like our patients to be relaxed. I didn’t partake but thought this was an amazing service.
The Dentist came in and shook my hand and said a few words. I have never felt so at ease with a dentist and I’m 55 so have been to many. He actually read through all my paperwork. Do you know how uncommon that is. Sometimes, at Doctor’s office I wonder why we even bother filling out paperwork because I don’t think the Doctor really reviews it. He then asked me again about my concerns. From there he proceeded to do my screening. This is the most comprehensive oral screening I have ever received. My other dentists usually looked in my mouth with one of those small, handheld mirrors to see if the found anything off. This dentist and his assistant used a camera to examine me. He was also wearing ultra“something? lenses on his eyes to better see everything in my mouth. I think it was some kind of laser. They took many, many pictures of my mouth and tongue. Plus the dentist asked me again about the specific areas of concern to me. He took multiple pictures of these areas as well as physically felt these areas. After this process, Dr. Ghatnekar put the pictures on a screen for me and explained each one. After that he had me rinse with a solution that stayed in my mouth. He then used some special glasses to look at my mouth. Evidently, this solution will show the smallest of small cancer lesions that could not be seen by the naked eye. Dr. Ghatnekar has now seen areas of my mouth and tongue that I can truly say no one else has. Fortunately, everything came out just fine.
I did have one other question and concern about something that was not dangerous but a bit strange to me. It was not dangerous. Dr. Ghatnekar stated that he wasn’t sure what might be happening but he would do some research and get back with me in a few days. Really? How wonderful! I believe he was sincere.
All in all, this was the best dentist or doctor experience I have ever had. I left feeling 100% confident in my checkup. Go, go, go and try this dentist and experience his wonderful staff.

I have been with Dr Ghatnekar for over a year now (since he took over for Dr Feld). During that time my teeth required a couple of procedures (a filling, and crown replacement). Dr Ghatnekar and his staff (Julie in particular, and Wendy in the front office) could not be better — they truly care about your comfort and well-​being.
Dr Ghatnekar goes out of his way to explain all that he is doing and to ensure that everything he does will be as painless as possible (and for those like me who really don’t like shots — he gives extremely good shots).
Overall the office is extemely well run, well managed, and the dental work is fantastic!!!
As far as I’m concerned, I will be a patient there forever.
