Finally a «real» toy store. Once inside you step back to the days when this type of toy store was the norm. Excellent variety, gentleman at counter knew his stock and where it was! I hope this store survives, small business is important to communities!

This place is super cute. My son loved it in here. They have a unique selection of toys and the prices seem to be not much more than Amazon. I checked on two items to determine if there was a difference of $ 20 and found the difference to be like $ 3. Would definitely come again.

I’m actually impressed that this business has survived this long, most of these stores seem to be disappearing over the last decade or so. I’ve always liked dropping by here because the workers are friendly and will assist you, and it’s a small store so it’s not hard for me to wait on other customers being helped. To me it’s on a personal level and it gives the little ones time to find something they want on their own. This is a perfect outing to take children because you can see a cheap movie at the dollar theater or find an item to toss around at the park just across the creek. I’ve never had a problem with the workers, it’s nothing too upscale full of electronic things, it’s just old fashioned toys for the younger groups and a few for the bigger kids. We usually find something that will get the kids away from their video games and the internet, I hope this place stays in business much longer.

Great candy store! They have a large selection of the hard to find favorites. I haven’t tried the shaved ice, but am planning on it! Prices are a bit high, however worth it for the convenience.

I went here to find a birthday present for my 2 year old niece, the place is pretty small but it has a pretty large variety. Unfortunately I was looking for something very specific and the store didn’t have what I was looking for but I found a few other things. If you’re looking for something unique I would check it out. The prices were pretty reasonable given it’s more of a specialty store. They did have one thing that impressed me a lot, they had CDs with songs that included the different children’s names. HOWNEAT! It’s a great gift on it’s own, but including the kid’s names really makes it personal. For example I remember one of the songs was titled«It’s all about __________», how adorable! They think it was made just for them and I think it has educational songs on it as well. Don’t hold me to that! My niece loves it, I wish they had more names available because it would be a great present for my other 2 year old niece and nephew!

Pretty good toy-but I can just go over to toysrus and get most of the toys at a cheaper price.

The staff is personable and willing to take the time to truly help. Their toys are unique and seem high quality. We have purchased several plastic educational games/toys(Tolo brand), a Kettler tricycle, Calico Critters, and train tracks compatible with Thomas train sets(Melissa and Doug). Art supplies, learning workbooks, puzzles, trains, Dino’s, bugs and science kits, dress up clothes, cars/helicopters/planes(an excellent selection). We come here often to find birthday presents and are never let down. Offer gift wrapping too, which looks great. Tons of baby toys also, plus a «dollar section” — cheap prize like toys: Japanese miniature things(inc Hello Kitty). Never crowded even on a weekend! Located in a quiet shopping mall next to a candy store, coffee ship, and a Rubys, plus $ 2 movie theater. Wonderful trip to bring my 2 and 4 yr old. Aso has small sand lot with statur frog/turtle kids can climb. :)

Very cool little toy shop. The toys seem to be geared for kids 8 and under. Things you don’t see in the chain toy stores. Everything from dolls and tiny plastic toy food to educational games and toy trucks. They even carry a kid’s box of gags(which includes the ever-popular fake vomit and fake dog poo). Staff here is friendly and helpful.

** This place is still awesome but«Whale of a Tale» is also pretty awesome. Less selection on some of the toys but the prices are also a little bit cheaper. Just cross-referencing in case you have to buy a kids toy and one location is closer than the other. W of a T is by UCI. **

came here because said this place was an official retailer of ugly dolls. hoorah! so i found two that i was looking for which is great since there’s not much of a price difference between retail and online if you consider s/h prices. anyway, there’s a ton of stuff here — the owner is korean because he kept speaking to me in korean after seeing my last name on my credit card and tried to solicit his church to me. no thanks but thanks? anyway, i thought that was hilarious(verging on uncomfortable) and somewhat typical of a religious korean man to do to another fellow korean/asian person… the prices here are average, it’s a little out of the way for me but they do have more unique things. though i’m not sure i will go back only because i was sort of taken aback by the owner’s persistance to get me to visit his church…

This toy store is filled with toys that you don’t see at the chain stores. They carry Japanese pretend food items that my kids love. They look like the ones on display outside a japanese restaurant, just smaller. I like the water bottles, and mugs with names. I usually add one as part of the bday present when my kids go to a bday party. Their collection of Hello Kitty is quite unique. I recently bought a few small coin zipper purse for $ 1.50 each, which is a steal. They have special Medieval figurines which my neighbor’s kid collects. I am impressed with the selection of non electronic games they carry, most of them I have never seen. I bought the small version of Crocodile Dentist for the kids to play on road trips. Four stars because I noticed that their Legos and Thomas Trains are more expensive then Target.

I’ve been searching for Webkinz for my god-daughters and have spent a lot of time on the telephone trying to locate the specific ones which they’re requested. When I called Jitterbug Toys I couldn’t believe the customer service I received. The man was not only helpful but he agreed to hold the 2 Webkinz I wanted when his new shipment arrives next week. He took the time to listen to me and help me search for the items. I was really impressed. I had originally given this place a 4-star rating, but now I’m adding an extra star to a full 5-star rating! I had written a review on 10-16-2006(see below), but felt I should repost so their 5-star rating shows up. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - If you’re anything like me, then you do not like shopping: for toys or gifts for children at big chain stores like Toys R Us or Kaybee Toys. I prefer to go to independant shops offering things I’d never seen before. It’s hard enough getting a gift for a child who has everything. Then there might be those kids whose parents do not like them to get those commercialized toys. Well, stop looking for a place to shop because this is the place for you. There are imaginative toys, creative toys, educational toys, unique toys, and anything else that would please fussy mom and dads, aunts and uncles and whoever else that buys presents for children.
