So, big milestones in my life checked off: got a «real» job after years in grad school, got married… finally feel like an adult. Except now, I get the pleasure of thinking about the «what-if’s» in life, and that includes «what if I croak way earlier than I ever anticipated?». I met with Albert Lee, who walked me through the «what happens» if the «what ifs» occur, and that obviously involves life insurance. I didn’t know what to expect when I walked in, but Albert really put things in easy terms for me to understand, he led me through various insurance plans, AND he even went through a financial review of my (and my spouse’s) current finances to help identify which plans would suit our family best. Albert really took his time, was detail-​oriented, and was very honest with his recommendations. I felt really comfortable, and I honestly did feel that I was in good hands. Nobody wants to plan for the scary «what-​ifs» in life, but I’m glad that I do have a plan to ensure that my family is taken care of.

As I’m nearing 30, I had never visited a financial planner before I went to Sunpath, but I started to get an idea of the bigger picture of my finances and how important they were to my future. I originally came to Josh just to have him review some of my taxes. He did great in explaining everything, and I mean everything that I had questions on. Josh was a referral to me from a friend that had purchased life insurance, which i was currently looking for. I met at josh’s office in irvine where we sat in a nice meeting room. One thing i liked was that he greeted me with a big smile and immediately offered me a cold bottle of water, kinda off topic but thoughtful of him. Josh had a very bubbly personality, very personable. He focused on getting to know me and my family far before we delve into business, which was unique to me. After getting to know eachother he walked me through a few worksheets tht helped me figure what my insurable amount was. He stated that more often than not people under or over insure themselves paying too much for additional coverage they dont need, or not having enough to protect their loved ones if something did. After we figure my insurable amount he explained term and perm life insurance to me and how we could blend the two to cover short term debt with one and legacy and finanal expenses with the other. One other thing i liked was that the permanent policy i bought had some sort of cash value account that builds up over time so i could borrow against it in the future or it would be added to my face amount if anything were to happen to me. Price and security in a company was a concern to me. So josh explained that he tries to sell pru products becauaw he believes stronfly in the company, but if i couldnt afford the cost prudential allows him to broker out to other companies and sometimes that the cheaper route. Anyhow, long story short i bought the pridential products and have had them going on a year now. Premiums are guaranteed to stay the same forever and i am fully covered. Very pleased with josh and his services.
