As a post-​grad student at UCI, the Learning and Academic Resource Center (LARC) is amazing at helping students who may be struggling in a class comprehend the material. The tutors are trained to lead small groups of 8 – 12 students and make plenty of time to go over material and answer individual questions. While each tutor varies in teaching method the overall concensus amongst my friends is that LARC is extremely helpful and is worth every penny!
Costs around $ 100 a quarter, but if you do the math, it’s around $ 5 per hour of tutoring, which is a lot cheaper than pretty much any private tutor in Irvine that I know about!
