My Grandma’s Daycare

My husband and I are so glad we found My Grandma’s Daycare. Silvia and her team do a phenomenal job! We did some research and visited a couple of daycare’s and we are so glad we stumbled upon this one. My daughter has been going to Silva for about 3 months. Silva is reliable, kind, knowledgeable and flexible. You can definitely tell she has a passion for what she does. Silvia speaks Spanish to my baby which is huge for me! Highly recommend her!

My Grandma’s Daycare Lic.# 304 312 048 is a TRUE GEM of a daycare. I found this daycare through a personal recommendation and I since then I have never considered an alternative. Silvia Figueroa and her team offer a very comforting and caring environment for the children in her home-​situated daycare/​childcare business.
Both my daughters have attended from age 10.5 months (Silvia accepts from young infants up) and her experience and genuine commitment to the children in her care is evident. A bi-​lingual daycare, regular attendees soon pick up both English and Spanish, and the children go on small walks and excursions regularly. The days are structured and children are exposed to small projects based on a monthly theme (Thanksgiving, Family and Friends, the Holiday season) which the children experience through art, music, play-​time, play-​dough etc. I investigated what children do at a number of Montessori and I would say that this daycare much better in terms of carer-​child involvement and variable content and different interactive experiences.
The daycare has a very low turnover of children and the kids (ages ranging 0 – 5 years) learn to interact with each other in a supportive environment — it’s like real little family and I think the socialization with different children definitely helped my eldest accept her baby sister when she arrived. The daycare offers evenings and weekends and on many occasions they have been able to help me out with short-​notice visits too. The rates are very competitive and the hours very flexible.
I can’t recommend My Grandma’s daycare highly enough. My children have been going for over 2.5 years and when the time comes to move up to school we’ll be very sad to move on.
