This trail is beautiful! It was recently opened up a few months ago. I’ve never heard of this nature trail until I was browsing and found that there was an evening night hike. I decided to take on this venture, since I’ve never been on a night hike before. In order to do this event, you have to make an account with the website and then register for the event. You must arrive promptly or else the gates will close! And if you arrive late, then you’re way out of luck. I barely made it and was able to catch the volunteers, Sue and Pocky(I think thats how you spell their names, apologies if you’re reading this!) And they opened the gates and I followed them up to the parking lot. Once you get to the meeting area, you have to sign a waiver form. This night hike was led by David, a docent leader as well as other assistant docents, Sue, Pocky, and John. The trail is average to moderate, and informative if you want to learn about nature. They’ll even spot out animals, amphibians and talk about the history of the nature trail. It was about a 2 hour, and about 3 mile hike. Lastly, this trail is only open when there are events going on! So, you must, I repeat, MUST register events through the web link above. Additionally, you don’t want to get caught coming into this trail illegally by a subtle camera, because the fine is pretty hefty! ;(
