Primal Soccer

Its a fun place to play and meet new people. Now that the Leagues are split up into two divisions A & B people can be competitive at there own skill level. Its a very friendly environment. With all the new upgrades and more to come we cant wait to see how much more primal will grow and expand. I recommend checking this place out!

Good competition and good quality field (turf is brand new and nicely padded and boards on now in great shape).

This place is so unorganized. The league started a month later than scheduled. It was supposed to be on Monday nights only, but got switched to Monday/​Thursday nights. We have had our scheduled games change just hours before game time. Usually we get our game schedule every two weeks (which isn’t the greatest for planning) but this week we got our schedule on the day of the game (Monday morning). The list goes on…
The good things…
The competition is great for players ages 23 – 35 who are still in somewhat decent soccer shape. Also, they offer uniforms at an inexpensive price.
In the end, we will not play here after this season because it’s really unorganized. Not having our schedule in advance and getting an email at 4pm that our 7:15pm game time was changed to 10:15pm is why I give Primal Soccer 1 star

This place deserves less than a star. Everything looked ok at the beginning, but it seems that they turned into extremely greedy «business» with no customer service skills whatsoever. This was the most disgusting client-​business experience I’ve encountered ever in California.
Me and my team started playing in this league 2 seasons ago. When we signed up we wanted to pay all the fees up front. We paid the league fee, but were told to pay the referee fees individually after each game. That’s what we did, there was no issues whatsoever. By the end of the season the turf condition was really really bad. We were promised though that DURING the next season or before it starts there will be new turf installed as well as the new goals and walls will be remodeled. We were also offered a promotion (50% off the sign up fee for the following season), so we decided to stay.
Promises were not kept for the first time during the season number 2, as the turf was not done and only one goal out of two was semi-​finished. We paid the whole league fee up front again… and again were told to pay the ref fees after each game. That’s what we did the whole season. There were some issues with the referees though this season as half of the game there was no regular referee so one of the guys who manages the league was refereeing or at some point even a guy from ANOTHER TEAM from the same league was our ref… yeah, I know, ridiculous… But anyway, as far as we are all aware we paid all the ref fees for the whole season (it’s $ 150 for the ref fees on top of the regular ~$ 450 for the league).
The real problems started before our 3^rd season was about to start. They finally finished the turf and the walls and goals and everything looks nice. They also got a lot of new teams (probably because of the remodeling). When we started there were 6 – 7 team, right now there were over 12 team singed up. So we wanted to sign up again since the venue is finally nice and that’s there it all went bad.
We asked about the 50% offer we were promised (our team captain was trying to communicate with them through email, while I was texting with one of the managers). For every 4 – 5 text from me, he usually responded after a day or two. When I asked about the 50% offer I didn’t get any response. Our manager was told that they are not going to honor it (with no explanation at first)…so I sent another text (I have all texts backed up by the way if any of you want to check it out). After another text I was told:
«Sorry to hear what happen. I am not the only one in control of the system and there have been a few changes in the company. […] I will honor the discount but I need you guys to pay the remaining balance you owe, there was quite a few games that you guys did not pay and you were the only team I had an issue with. I was told that they reached out to you via email a few times and never heard back so they assumed you did not want to continue in the league».
I was shocked. We never got a single email regarding any payment issue. We always paid everything possible up front, so we had no idea what is this about. I sent 6 – 7 text after that trying to figure out if they confused us with some other team or what’s going on. I also asked about copies of those alleged email. I never received them. Suddenly our captain received an email that we owe $ 75 for the referee fees for last season. That is 50% of the referee fees. There is now way we could’ve forgotten or anything else. Especially that we always wanted to pay EVERYTHING UP FRONT. When I sent another text I finally got a response, that we didn’t pay the ref fees and that
«I have cameras in the facility that show every time you payed me»
That just struck me like a lightning. I was never ever accused of being a thief. I was absolutely shocked, but since I always want to be fair I told them to send me an invoice and I will send them a check. I never received a response back. Clearly they just had too many team and new ones that will pay the full fee for the league so they didn’t want to honor their promises made 2 seasons before. On top of that we received another email from them when they accused us of:
«- Poor and disrespectful communication — Disregard to payment policies by not finalizing payment from last season in regards to referee fees — Constant issues with other teams in league resulting in many teams complaining — Instead of finding a solution with us, all we received were negative reviews and comments without any response to us
We do not need to accept any old payment due to us from your team, but unfortunately I think it would be best for both parties to go their separate ways and we wish you the best.»
Since we were already accused of theft, poor communication and negative reviews, there you go Primal, just the facts!

Awesome indoor soccer league. Competitive, affordable and fun.
I joined my co-worker’s team last month and have been really impressed with this league. The competition definitely isn’t lacking — most, if not all, teams are composed of former varsity high school or college soccer players.
Each game is 40 minutes (20 minute halves). I probably sweat more than in a 90-​minute game. Great way to build up your cardio.
Most games start between 8:00 PM and 10:15 PM. Pretty convenient since I don’t have to rush over from work.
League fees come out to approximately $ 50 per player. I think the season is 10 games (more or less), so it’s about $ 5 per game. Totally affordable.
The field condition is decent. There are a couple bumps and minor rips in the turf. There’s also a gap in one of the boards where the ball rolls under sometimes. Not a big deal though.

Great facility, field in pretty good condition, competitive men’s league. Really good location

Been here twice for an indoor 5vs5 league, I wanted to give it a 2 star but its not that bad,
–likes:
I like that the goals aren’t too small, goalie can use hands…
timer on the wall, you get to know how many minutes left for the half, makes it easier to call out subs…
–Dislikes:
Its covered, if the ball touches the net its out, on the bright side if you want to play daytime you’re sheltered from the sun…
Turf is not in its best condition, not too bad but could’ve been newer…
Overall its not bad
