Absolutely horrible!!! My mortgage loan was sold to Rushmore several months ago. Before receiving notification of the transfer, I made my payment to my old bank, and was continually harassed by Rushmore, saying my payment was late. I repeatedly explained the situation, and it was an act of congress to get late fees, etc. ironed out. Since then, my experience has only worsened. As with most mortgages, payment is due on the 1st of the month, and is late on the 16th. I mail my payment on the 1st each month(because that is when I get paid), and by the 3rd, they are already harassing me before it is even considered late! They are rude, want to know the date payment was made, check number, amount sent… the questions just go on and on. I explain to them each month that I have never defaulted on a loan, I always mail payment on the 1st, and they always receive it before the deadline, but the harassment continues. I will be refinancing soon to try and get rid of this bank. Steer clear!

Stay as far away as you can from this lender. Horrible Experience from start to finish. Yes, we got a very good rate from Rushmore when we initially bought a condo in downtown Chicago in April of 2015(we have excellent credit and put 25% down — so one would think we are a lenders dream customers) — but little did we know what we were getting ourselves into with this company. Here are the«highlights of our 3-month«experience» with Rushmore before we refinanced the loan with a great local Chicago lender, who got it right the first time and has not disappointed, since. — Messed up all our closing paperwork and incorrectly included an escrow account on a very straightforward loan that they were never able to resolve, even after 2 months of constant phone calls. — Totally unresponsive and terrible«robot-like» service reps with no knowledge about product or how to treat their customer — all you ever get is canned responses — never an answer. — Awful Website to manage the loan, there is not even an option to sign up for paperless statements — Nobody EVER responded to the secure Website messages, despite the fact that they state that a letter will be mailed with a response within several business days(yes, they like paper mail) — Phone holding messages explain that everything you say in a call can be held against you for the purpose of collections(That set the stage for a good conversation…). Long story short: Get away from them if you can and refinance somewhere else. Chances are, you are getting better service, not matter where you go, because it can’t get much worse than Rushmore.

Absolutely inept and willfully negligent. They did not apply 2 of my payments at all and keep putting my payments in limbo as partial payment with the intent to forclose. Look up their reviews on Google and Consumer Affairs. They’re crooked as all get out. Looks like I may have to hire an attorney.
