Just visited this place, horrible service and management! The waitress was giving me such a bad attitude and I don’t even know why. I ordered an orange juice and asked for less ice… I needed up getting an only half full orange juice and I paid $ 3.75 for it. I asked the sandwich to be toasted and they were not toasted… I would never come back for the horrible service. Food was mediocre too…

Was walking around the Diamond Jamboree with my dad and came across this place! It was about 7 at night and they seem to have stopped serving certain things on their menu(such as Taro Longan because it «did not combine well»). Other than that, the worker was really sweet and we got #3 Rice Noodle Soup with Shrimp — Hot and savory, generous portion! #27 Grilled Pork Spring Roll — Densely packed and went well with the sauce Coconut Special Che — Yum! Thai Tea — Pretty good Overall, delicious and great for a casual, or quick, snack or meal! c:

This could be my new breakfast place to go :) The rice noodle soup with beef was perfect! The sugar cane juice is so refreshing on this already so warm morning. I love the ambience, light & airy and the music is just the right kind of beat.

Theyre sandwiches are mediocre. I really like the grilled pork. it has a nice seasoning to the pork. But their mocha shaved ice is so damn good I had to give this place 4 stars.

I come here exclusively for their banh mi sandwiches, which are great. I actually prefer these to Lee’s Sandwiches. You can get 3 banh mi sandwiches for just over 10 bucks, which is a fantastic deal(buy 2 get 1 free). My favorite is the grilled pork! Sure, there are other great restaurants at Diamond Jamboree, but my go-to places(in order) are Sandwich club, finishing with some dessert at 85 degrees bakery, and then going shopping at H mart. I’ve never had the shaved ice here, but I can definitely recommend the sandwiches.

Had the Egg Noodles soup, really good. Recommend sugar cane juice, fresh! The owner are real nice and down to earth!

Thai tea here is $ 3.25 and I ordered two, one with no ice for my girlfriend because she doesn’t like ice in her drink and it’s 50 degrees outside. They gave me half a cup of Thai tea in the one with no ice. It’s $ 3.25! If you want Thai tea, I would advise you to walk over a few feet to Lollicop.

Sandwiches are always fresh! They also have a deal after 3 when you buy two you get the 3rd one for free! It’s a steal!

Im a total sucker for banh mi. If there’s a banh mi joint near my work, you know I’m there. It seems like Sandwich Plus is the only banh mi location that is located in Irvine. It’s a small sandwich shop set up like a subway located in the heart of the often busy Diamond Plaza. I enjoy coming here during my lunch break for a quick bite and to satisfy my Vietnamese food cravings. Their banh mis are enjoyable and it comes in a decent size to fulfill your hunger. I normally get the chinese sausage and egg banh mi. The baguette itself isn’t too dried nor is the sausage and egg too oily. The only problem that I have with this place is their price. I normally spend about a good $ 6 for a typical banh mi. For that price I can easily order two large banh mi back in Westminster. I guess location does matter. Besides the price, everything here is pretty awesome for your quick fix of banh mi.

There is a reason this place isn’t packed. The large size snow is small compared to other places. The picture is not what you get when it comes to snow. They charge extra for the toppings even though the picture next to the price and flavor clearly has toppings. And the flavor was kinda bland.

this was the only spot in the jamboree plaza that was pretty much empty during lunch. i should have taken that as a sign, but i also wasn’t in the mood to be waiting for ever and a day for a quick lunch so i made my way in. they have a pretty wide variety of things you can choose from considering they make everything on the spot. think subway but with more items. i ordered a noodle dish and they put it together super quick. was not impressed. it’s like vermicelli(bun thit?) but not. if you want a quick lunch, go in. if you want something satisfying, go elsewhere.

I think this is the only shop in the Diamond Plaza that isn’t always packed. I’ll walk by and see waves of business and then other times, hardly see any. My personal experience with them is never great. When we come for dinner or stop for some bakery a few doors down, I never crave this, but my have little monsters that don’t review and don’t really know what’s good or not so I get suckered into buying them shaved ice. Our orders: 01. Taro Shaved Ice $ 3.99(Small) — Taro had a very artificial taste to it and the ice was melting faster as you stare at it. I thought it was pretty bad. Not a fan at all. 02. Lychee Shaved Snow w/Green Tea Mochi and Lychee Multi-Color Jellies $ 3.99(Small) — One, okay maybe 2 words: SUPERSWEET. Yep, if you are looking for that Sugar Rush, this is the dessert you want. It is so darn sweet, even the little monsters couldn’t finish it. Lychee is naturally sweet so hold off on the sugar please… this was Sugar 10X. Super horrible IMO. Will not be ordering these again, we didn’t finish either plates. that’s wasting money in ice. CUSTOMERSERVICE — One word, HORRIBLE! The staff are like robots, they make eye contact but do not engage. You say hello and they respond with«You like to order?». I really think they do not like working there. I can’t expect much coming here. VERDICT — Now I understand why at times I see business and nothing at other times. I’ve seen their food come out and it does not look too appetizing. I’ll pass on the Viet food as I know I can get it elsewhere for half the price and I’m sure tastes better too and with a SMILE and friendly staff. Mostly likely will have to bargain when this request comes to me, I just can’t come back.

Gotta try everything at least once! I came here on a Saturday in the midst of running errands and waiting for my 85 iced coffee, craving a down and dirty authentic banh mi and some pâté. Two girls were working and although 85 next door was bustling, this place was a ghost town. I felt like I was doing them a favor by being a patron, but they didn’t seem to think so. I smiled and greeted the girl working the register, and was met with an exasperated look and impatient stare. I’m sorry, who’s working here? Usually at banh mi places they have a «Combo»(you guys know what I’m talking about!) or «House Special» that has the usual works. This place didn’t, so I asked the girl what the closest thing to a regular banh mi sandwich was on the menu. And yes, I said banh mi. And they were clearly Vietnamese. But they just gave me puzzled faces and didn’t really even respond, so I just ordered a #13 in defeat and waiting forever for my sandwich. It was super awkward too because I was the lone customer in there. And you could see people on the outside peering in, but thought better of trying the place. A wise decision. I probably won’t be back. I think I paid $ 5 or $ 6 for the sandwich, and it wasn’t really anything spectacular. Service kind of repels people too so… :|

I’ve seen this place a couple times I came to pick up pastries at 85D Café so thought it was a convenient place to grab a small bite for dinner with the girl friend. I got the turkey croissant which was very tasty and filling. What really stole the show where the things my gf was smart enough to pick out. The chicken sald. Chicken was grilled at a great balance of juicy and fully cooked. The salad was a mix of herbs and lettuce along with the fixings you get with a order of phở so with every bite you the juicy savoriness of the chicken, the crunchiness of the fresh vegetables, and the slightly sweetness of the salad dressing. The portion was very generous as well so I was able to steal many bites from my gf’s plate. We also got a side of shrimp spring rolls. What really impressed my Vietnamese gf is that she immediately noticed that the roll was freshly rolled. It made a big difference in how soft, yet firm the skin of the spring roll tasted. As a bonus they offered us a free sample of their lichee shaved ice. We where too full for dessert but we’ll definitely be back to get a serving next time we’re by. All in all the quality of the food is strong, the service excellent, and the price range, especially in the middle of Irvine, is VERY reasonable.

Service was pretty bad, the lady greeted me with a hi and no smile, didn’t sound too enthusiastic about being there or answering my questions. Food was pretty decent, the buy 2 get 1 free deal is pretty good. Bread wasn’t too soft or hot, so I’m guessing it was sitting out for awhile. The place is pretty clean and plenty of seating.

Pretty good place if you’re looking for a quick and cheap lunch. Not sure if the portions are big enough for dinner though. Service is pretty fast and the quality of the food is OK for the price. They also have the vietnamese iced coffee which is a plus when you need a pick me up in the middle of the day(warning: it’s pretty strong). Definitely not meant to be a high-end restaurant but is good for what it is.

Not a lot of businesses offer«buy two, get one free». My co-workers and I love coming here for that reason. We just order the 3 and split, so it comes out even cheaper! Definitely get more bang for your buck. I have tried the grilled pork and I thought it was decent. The bread is super crispy, so be ready to make a mess. I personally enjoy soft bread, but my friend was telling that it is the style for this type of sandwich. I think this place is decent, and I don’t come out disappointed. The portions are perfect for me and the dry veggies are a good compliment to the meat. I think this is a good spot for a quick Vietnamese craving fix.

Ever since Lee’s closed I didn’t know where else I can get my banh mi fix. I suppose Sandwich Club is my answer. The place is new and clean. Located in the bustling Diamond Jamboree plaza, the location is in the heart of Asian cuisine in Irvine. I came for lunch on an early Saturday morning and ordered the grilled pork sandwich. I really enjoyed the marinade, and their was a good amount of protein, but the bread was a bit hefty. Nonetheless an enjoyable meal.
