So Lynn showed up at my house this morning right on time. I went to shake her hand and she had a cut on it covered with a band aid and said she wasn’t comfortable with shaking my hand. No problem, I understand. In the middle of our discussion of my new landscape design for the front yard I inadvertantly reached out to touch her arm to show her something and she told me «Please don’t touch me, I am not comfortable with that.» I quicky apologized realizing it bothered her and pulled back and stayed far enough away from her so she was comfortable. We continued our discussion and went over her suggestions(many were good recommendations)… I said to her more than once I am open to her ideas and creative vision for my yard which is why I called her in the first place. She is a landscape designer… and I called her because I needed design advice and help. We discussed my question about the possibility of bringing a water feature into the yard. She then asked where I would like to put it and I said I wasn’t sure what did she think. She abruptly said«That is too many I don’t knows… I am not comfortable with this and walked off my property, into her car and left». I have never dealt with someone like this in all of my life. I was aware of her«dog» issues as I read them on line and made sure we kept our dog in the house as we were meeting outside. She knew we had a dog but the issues with Lynn go deeper than a fear of dogs. I feel sorry for her and her insecurities but she cannot be representing a company and have to deal with people on a daily basis if she isn’t comfortable with herself. I am a middle aged female who in no way was a threat to her. I thought our meeting was going just fine and then she abruptly left. To ask a landscape«designer» where they think certain things should go or what their opinion is about plants, trees etc is why you call a «specialist» in the first place. Again just want to let all of you know what my experience was with Lynn Morris as being forewarned is forearmed. I would not recommend using her for your landscaping services…

Lynn, the so called landscape designer for Silver Creek Nursery, came today, and she was very rude, did not really listen to what my issues are and she basically said that, «do this.» No reason and she shut down every ideas I had. The worst part is that she was claiming that my dogs were poisoning her and the air in my back yard was also poisoning her. She grabbed her portfolio and stormed out. She freaked out and ran out without me getting a bid. This is the worst customer service I have ever received. No wonder they went out of business as a real nursery. She was rude, crazy and psychotic!

I was very disappointed with my consultation. She said she would do small projects. She never asked me for my budget. When she was walking through the project she said it was too small for her to even consider. She won’t do anything under a thousand dollars. I said I was planning on spending significantly more than that. She literally turned around and walked back to her car. If you don’t like snooty you will not want to work with her.

I hired Lynn from the Silver Creek Nursery for a small landscaping project for a property near the beach in San Clemente. I had an idea of what I wanted but needed her expertise with the design, plant choices and layout etc. After asking me a few questions about what I liked she proceeded to bring out a huge case full of photos of plants and other projects that I could look at to help me with my decision. We ended up walking through the neighborhood to see what some of the plants might be and to get more ideas. I wanted something low-water very natural and zen– like with either some DG or rocks. In the end she came up with a very simple yet flowing design(on the spot mind you) and we mapped out the types of plants, trees and ground cover that would work together. Her suggestions were perfect. She gave me a quote immediately. My husband & I felt it was a very fair price for all of the work which also included irrigation. We actually ended up re-doing the irrigation in our back yard and added a few plants as well! Lynn was very concerned with the state of the yard and weeds etc and made sure we prepped the ground prior to rid as many weeds as possible. This took a few extra weeks but was worth it. In the end the yard came out beautifully. We are very pleased with it and have been getting compliments from our neighbors. I would highly recommend Lynn and her crew from the Silver Creek Nursery for any landscaping needs. I would definitely consider them for any future needs. Thanks so much! Nancy L

I was not impressed at all with this nursery. A lot of the plants seemed like they were in desperate need of water. They have a nice selection of tropical plants and citrus trees, but the prices seem high. We wandered around the entire place and no one greeted us or asked if we needed help the whole time. The Home Depot down the street has better plants, lower prices, and better customer service.

Decent sized retail nursery over on Sand Canyon by the Carl’s Jr. Selection was ok, but pricing was on the high side. May want to hunt around more unless you see something that you just have to have.
