Very profesisonal, clean and friendly environtment. Frida is very knowledgeable and gentle. They really took excellent care of me when I came in. This place its like a candy store I wanted to get every treatment possible! I recomend skin and beyond 100%!

Only have been here once for laser hair removal on my face and I’ve noticed a drastic change in how much less there is. Staff is very friendly and the facility is clean.

I’ve been coming here for years. I’ve had Botox, lip fillers, and laser treatments and can’t say enough about how great this place is! Perfect example of don’t judge a book by its cover. The place is not super fancy, but Frida is extremely talented at what she does. She knows exactly how to make you look years younger without looking like you’ve «gotten work done». Highly recommended!

I usually never write reviews but I felt doing it this time to express my high satisfaction with the work that Freida did when she administered Botox on me recently. I just moved from east coast and I had been always going to one of the best NYC plastic surgeons who also has office in NJ. Let me tell you this — I was satisfied with this doctor and used his services for the past 3 years but Freida did better job than this celebrity doctor. Look forward to use this place for all my beauty needs here in southern Cali.

This a response to Frida (owner). I’m not sure where you came up with that I could not afford Botox (that truly is not the case). I think that your Botox is being administered by Sub-​Dermal Injections, meaning you are not fully injecting in the Botox into the Muscular Structure (for myself, the forehead). I also believe that you are nice and accommodating when clients have to buy another package or service. (you frown upon people that buy Groupons, which I believe is the only reason why you are still open).

I have been coming here for my laser hair removal for my face area. At first I was pretty skeptical after hearing that some laser places use weak lasers, but this place is awesome! I have only had two treatments so far and my hair on my chin, mustache, and side areas on my face are almost gone! It’s such a relief to have found a place that works and I still have more treatments to go since I bought a packet via groupon.
Frieda is welcoming and patient with the treatments which also helps. She rubs ice on my face as she lasers my face which is comforting and makes the pain more durable.
I woukd recommend this place of you are looking to save money and see results! Btw I am middle eastern, so I have darker skin and the laser here works perfect on my skin complexion.

Your «spa» tried to blackmail me into writing a good review before returning my money — If you had only done the compassionate thing, and returned my money as I had indicated the reasons for why need the funds returned. I even stated that I would return and pay for services later in the year. I don’t like people and business who BLACKMAIL customers for a good review. You should be ashamed of yourself, Frieda.

Let me preface my review by saying I am no stranger to medspas, dermatologists and plastic surgeons so my standards may be higher than a newbie’s. I was not impressed with the IPL here. I have had IPLs at Silverberg Dermatology, OMG OC Aesthetic, Dr. Charles Lee’s office in BH, and Dr. Pilest. The girl behind the desk was nice enough. The woman doing the procedure had a Persian accent, but I had no problem understanding her. She seemed like a total sheister though. She was asking questions about if I went to school or had a job. She was obviously trying to size me up and once I told her I didn’t she just assumed I was broke and things were very rushed/​half assed. There is something verrry amateur about this medspa. The lady sitting next to me in the waiting room needed to wash her face and she needed to exit the office to do so. They dont even have a sink apparently. I also had to apply the numbing cream myself while I sat in the reception area, lol! I bought the IPL on Groupon for only $ 95, it said the regular price was $ 400. LMFAO! I’ve had a $ 400 IPL and I can tell you that this place and that machine do not warrant that price AT ALL. (They also charge $ 30 for a single vitamin b shot, which is $ 10 more than most places)
I’m used to machines that really pack a punch so I took a half a painkiller and did numbing cream. There was no need, the machine was a toy and after the numbing cream kicked in, I couldn’t even feel it. She said it was because of the cooling tip, but they all have cooling tips nowadays, duh! I’m not sure what machine they use but if you want an IPL, the good ones to look for are from Cutera, Candela, and Lumenis One. The lady doing the ipl was not thorough, she missed spots and it was obvious that she was in a major hurry to get to the other two ladies in the waiting room. She didnt wipe the gel off thoroughly (cotton pads must be very expensive, lol). With that type of service, there was no way in hell I would trust her to do injectables (For that, I recommend Dr. Kanodia in BH, he’s much more detail oriented). If you want a Groupon IPL at a reasonable price, I’d go with OMG OC in Newport, that lady was not super friendly but she was very thorough and even did a second pass over the spots that bugged me the most. I hate to criticize anyone’s business, but I think people need to know the place is a joke and the IPL does not work AT ALL.

I trust Skin and Beyond for all my skincare needs. Farideh is very caring, knowledgeable, and professional. Their office is very clean and convenient and I always receive fantastic service and results.

I’ve had fillers and its been better than average. I wasn’t bleeding or non-​symmetrical. She doesn’t spend much time with clients but gets the job done. There has been a few occasions when her family was getting procedures done and I had more wait time. It’s located on Culver with enough parking. I will visit again since price is reasonable.

I do not care for this office. It is very small, cramped and dark… in a very dark bldg. When I arrived for my appoitment I had to wait behind a new client who spent 30 minutes talking to the receptionist and another 20+ minutes with the nurse getting her photofacial. I could tell when the procedure was done… that’s how small the office is. And, I could hear them still talking, talking, talking. The nurse knew I was waiting for my photofacial… which only takes about 10 min tops.
When I mentioned how long the client before me was taking, the receptionish told me she was new with lots of questions. Really?
I left my appointment and had even paid for it in advance. I will not go back to this office and do not receommend it.

I went to Skin & Beyond in April, 2013 and the office looks nothing like the photos on the web & the doctor with 35 years of experience was not at the office, nor did it look like he had ever been in the office. After scheduling another patient too close to my appointment time, I was told that I would have to come back a few hours later if I actually wanted my schlerotherapy (less than 15 minute) procedure done.
