Easy going service and food is clean healthy and enjoyable. They should open a second location.

Fantastic little spot! While in the office complex across from the train station, my options were limited to grab lunch. In fact, I was told by the locals that I had no chance of grabbing something healthy.
That was, until a coworker told me about this gem. Super friendly owners that were smiling and welcoming. I had broiled chicken with a salad and brown rice. They threw in a sample of a spicy carrot & jalapeño slaw that looked interesting.
Very flavorful, very well prepared and I was so happy to have found my new lunch spot within walking distance of my Irvine office.

Love this café. Hidden next to my salon that I visit. Nice place to grab soup, salad or a sandwich.

Came here for lunch with my mom today after running some errands.
As I was waiting for my food to be plated, two talk women walk in and one of them steps on my flip flop clad foot with her pointy heels! And I said, «ow excuse me? I’m standing right here» and I moved away from her and she came and shoved me again! I confronted her once more and she was super snobby about me being in «her way» and the owner who was ringing up my lunch was like «hey, it’s ok it’s ok» and I was thinking, «what’s so ok about her stepping on me?»
I will never come here again. How dare you tell me it’s fine that rude women step on me with their terrible high heels?
Food was mediocre at best. Service, horrible.

Where else can you get fresh cooked beef ka bobs rice and salad and beans. Great healthy like home cooked. Yum yum yum!!!

This place is terrible. The owner of the store would not get off the phone and when I presented him with my ATM card for my purchase, he rolled his eyes and asked if I had cash. I said I didn’t so he rolled his eyes again. I decided to take my business elsewhere so I reached to put the juice back in the refrigerator when he grabbed it vigorously and walked away huffing and puffing. I’ve never been treated so rudely before in my life.

It’s like getting a home cooked meal for lunch. For 8 dollars you can get something healthy and tastey. Portion size is just right to keep you from wanting to take that nap around 1pm. They have 4 options for you every day so it’s easy to find something good. This place has been bumped into my weekly rotation. Love getting lunch for under 10 bucks.

Quick fresh lunch option near Irvine train station. VEGAN & VEGETARIAN options. Just ask they have black beans and homemade hummus. Tabbouleh is pretty legit also. Sometimes they have other options such as roasted vegetables.
Very friendly owners. Forget fast food… Support small business!!!

Rounded up to four stars since so inexpensive. $ 8 for a chicken breast, salad and rice. Tabouli salad was fresh. Chicken was OK (not cooked fresh) but in a food sauce. They cook chicken kabobs fresh but it takes 10 minutes. Great location for those waiting for their train.

Wonderful family owned restaurant conveniently located next to the train station in Irvine. I worked across the street for two years and ate here nearly every day. There are different specials healthy options and friendly service. The portions are generous I often asked for a smaller size, the prices are extremely reasonable. They would even bring in products based on customer requests, this is what a café should be. If you are a soccer or tennis fan chances are if there is a game it will be on the TV.

I think it’s closed. Tried on Friday at noon & all the chairs were on tables & closed.

Wow this place is sorta cute looking. The outside has the cutest sign and super girly. This is a good lunch spot. I think this is a family owned café. The staffs are very friendly and they even helped me choose out what to eat because I was being lame and undecisive. In the end, I ordered the chicken with rice, beans, and zucchinis.
The chicken was on the dry side which made my dish a little disappointing. It wasnt that bad because it was still edible thanks to the sauce on top. Even though I don’t like condiments, I wish they had extra sauce on the side so I can use it to dip my chicken. The rice went well with the chicken. It has a smell that made the meal so complete. The black beans .well just black beans … I always eat pinto beans so this is the first. I think. I like the zucchinis though. It was well cooked. It made my dish look a little healthier.
Everything was under $ 10 and was very satisfying. I’ll prob come back when Im in the area. Ill probably try the kabob since everyone is raving about it

What a great little lunch spot for those days when you decided not to bring a hot meal from home.
The husband and wife team that run the place are Lebanese and Brazilian, and really lovely people, friendly and accomodating.
I’ve had the broiled salmon (two ways, over lentils and over salad), the lamb kabob, the tabbouleh, the hummus, brown rice, the couscous w/​veggies, the stir-​fried zucchini w/​peppers, and the bakery goods. Everything is outstanding.
Next time I’ll try the vegetarian option of black beans, brown rice, and hummus.
It’s also a great option if you need a half-​sandwich and a drink to jump on the train, since they’re part of the train station.

Really good deal for the amount of food. I got a blackened salmon with rice, cucumber tomato salad, and roasted potatoes. The chef is a sweet lady! The flavors of everything was nicely balanced. The only thing I didn’t like was that my salmon had been sitting in the warmer a while and was a bit on the dry side. I came in at 1pm, so it was leftover from the lunch rush obviously. Either way, that’s not enough for me to dock another star. Everything comes for $ 7 total and these are really kind people that will give you as much of whatever you want on the plate.

Great tasting clean food. Service is great, nice people. Special menu change daily and is always good.

Went here for the first time today
Tried to order a turkey sandwich and was told I had to take the one in the case. When I asked how long it had been sitting there I was told a few hours. So, I asked is the bread still soft. I was then told «we are not subway, do you want it as is or not?» Ummm NOT! I will not be bsck

In the train-​station-​vicinity-​market this place is a gem. Very friendly, food is edible+ and huge portions.

Great place to eat. I posted pictures of the different types of food they have. The hot menu is different everyday and they also have a regular menu. Taste and flavors of the hot foods are amazing. If you feel like having a home cooked meal check out this place.

This is a very simple café. What you see is what you get, nothing more, nothing less!
This little café is located across from the Amtrak train station, however the hours are limited to the local business needs. Of course the food is cheaper and better then the train vending machines.
Staff: friendly and efficient.
Food: simple, fresh, and good. No fancy stuff here. Portion size is average.
Seating: There’s not a lot of seating inside. Outdoor seating is twice the size. For the local businesses this is probably a pick up and eat in the office type place.
I give this café 4 out of 5 stars because I think they could shine a little more. They just haven’t found what makes them special besides the location. I’ll be glad to tell people when they are in the area to stop by for breakfast or lunch.
