Wyland Foundation

I have been to a few events the Wyland Foundation attended, specifically the STEAM Festival and the Festival of Children at South Coast Plaza. They always have fun activities (painting on a mural, coloring sea animal shapes) for kids to do while also educating them on the importance of keeping the planet clean, recycling, conservation, etc. The woman in charge of the events, Tammy, is great with the kids and passionate about the cause.

The Wyland Foundation is a great organization that brings awareness and education to both children and adults.
I have volunteered at a few of their events as well in their office. The staff is amazing and really fun to work with. Volunteering the in the office is a great opportunity to gain experience while helping your community. I really enjoyed volunteering at their yearly fundraiser. It’s a great event with art, music, food, and inspiring speakers; even though you’re volunteering, the staff makes sure that you also have a little time to enjoy the event as well. One of my favorite experiences was volunteering as a docent for the Mobile Learning Center. It was so much fun guiding and watching the kids go through all the stations.
My time volunteering with the Wyland Foundation is always a lot of fun and very rewarding.
