A-1 Burger House

The waiter suggested I try the A-​1 special sauce on my wings and it turned out really good. The fries could use more seasoning however, but the price is reasonable for what you get. I would recommend trying if you’re in the area.

The fries are not good, dry and fat.
The burgers are regular, seems a little high priced due to halal meat consideration.
Just dont know what they mean by 100% halal, i guess it is either halal or not halal.
A very regular place, very regular food, not going there again.

I had heard so many great things about this place and was surprisingly disappointed. I ordered the Zinger Burger and Buffalo Wings. The Zinger Burger had great sauce but the chicken patty was dripping with grease… it made the skin of the patty soggy. The Buffalo Wings were good and very tasteful in comparison. I would recommend them. However I would not visit again

Based on the food alone I would maybe give this place 3 stars, but the entire experience was 2 Stars. It was really dirty which just ruined the experience for me. They were also not friendly or helpful at all. I was trying to figure out what I wanted for a long time because the menu up on the screen kept rotating. I was never offered a menu and didn’t realize they were any until after I placed my order. I ordered a patty melt and it was good, but when I asked for just one patty instead of two she seemed put off by it. The fries are for sure just from a bag. I don’t write bad reviews often, but I was expecting at least a clean place given the 4 star Unilocal status. Sorry But I won’t be back.

Ordered their specialty, #1 on their menu, the A-​1 Supreme Burger on the ciabatta roll. Wow, tasted amazing and fresh. The meat tasted like a great homemade burger would. The roll was fresh, and the toppings were perfect. You CANNOT go wrong here! The fries were great too. It had a special red seasoning (not sure what it was), but they were a terrific addition. The fact also that they are halal makes this place a winner.

I took my family to get some burgers and everyone enjoyed and loved the burgers at this place I would definitely come back with friends next time

The beef in the burgers tasted very good. I had the lemon pepper wings as well!!! I will be back for the wings!

Went out to eat at A 1 burger located in Irving today. We ordered a Philly cheesesteak, buffalo chicken wings and zinger burger. Didn’t have to wait long for food they brought it out in 10 minutes. The cheesesteak was good However it wasn’t as hot as I would like, the guy at the register claimed the bread was bought today but didn’t look or taste fresh. I am sure a freshly toasted bread would make their cheesesteak great. The zinger burger was lacking meat and the buns were below average but the overall taste was good, really liked their zinger sauce! Wings were also delicious. The waiter came and checked on us twice to make sure everything was fine. Few of these changes they can really improve the quality of their food. Overall we had a good experience and will probably go there again.

Went here thinking it was better than other burger joints but the food was bland, and you get charged for ranch on the side. I have worked as a waitress and I have never charged or been charged for a condiment! I’m never recommending this place ever. Guess you get what you pay for.

I love this restaurant! The burgers are always delicious and very juicy! Their A-​1 wings are even better! Great place to eat at. I come very often so they are familiar with me & my husband.

Honestly I have no idea how this place has such a high rating. It’s run-​down, expensive, has mediocre food (wings are just frozen wings from a bag), and the cashier tells me that I need to pay cash or let him copy down my card’s number because his machine was broken AFTER I ordered.

This place is delicious. We ordered several items and will go through each one. Ordered the hot wings which were fresh and hot and had the right amount of hot sauce. Also, a double cheese burger which had really great texture and the meat was juicy and tender. We ordered the Philly cheesesteak which was a close second favorite after the cheese burger. Meat was seasoned just right and it just worked with cheese, peppers and bread for a really good taste. We also did the chicken biryani and gyro wrap. I was full at this point but my mom and dad sampled those two and really like the biryani and the wrap. You can’t go wrong with this spot. Great service and really great food for a good price. Will definitely come back again.

Philly cheese steak was so yummy! Best halal burger place in Irving! I’ve also tried their crispy chicken burger and it was always served fresh, warm and crispy mmm. I would definitely recommend to others.

The A-​1 burger, zinger burger, and wings were very good. It has truly been a mission of mine to find a place that can make really good wings, and I have finally found a restaurant that has satisfied my desire for wings. I will definitely come back here if I ever find myself in Dallas again.

GREAT tasting burger!!! The place doesn’t look like much but I had their A-​1 Surpreme Burger and I was impressed. Their Sweet Potatoe fries were great too. The establishment has plenty of space for large parties, with convenient parking right up front. It’s a clean place and the service was pretty good. If you’re in the mood for a tasty and inexpensive burger with fries, come here!

This place sucks! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. BTW they serve only turkey bacon.

This is a great hand-​crafted burger. The seasoned fries were served hot and delicious. I was concerned about driving out of my way for a hamburger, but all fears were alleviated when I paid only $ 6.48 for a fantastic burger, decent side order of delicious fries and a medium soft drink with free refills. You can take your order to go as well.

WARNING: They state that they are open at 10:30am on weekdays. THAT IS A LIE. Usually when a restaurant says they are open at a certain time, there are people who have already been there for half an hour firing up grills, wiping down counter tops and prepping food in anticipation of opening. Not A-​1 Burger House. We got here at exactly 10:30am on Wednesday morning and nobody was inside. The doors were locked. It wasn’t until 10:45am that the lady who works the counter even got to the restaurant. Took them another 10 – 20 minutes to turn everything on and start prepping food. We didn’t end up getting our food until 11:15am!
Needless to say, our experience with A-​1 Burger House was off to a horrible start. After I bit into my burger, though, it almost made me forget all about the wait. The meat is cooked well done, which is more than I prefer it, but it was still very tender and very moist. I got the Double Burger w/​cheese combo [$ 6.50]. It has two 1/​3lb. patties of beef, a slice of cheese in between them and lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. It was TASTY! And for all my Muslim peeps: It IS Halal.
The fries may look like nothing special, but they were crispy and perfectly fried and lightly seasoned.
The interior is nothing to write home about. It’s dingy and old, but at least there’s always seating. The location isn’t too bad since it’s near 161 [George Bush Tollway].
Overall, a decent option if you’re craving a burger and you need it to be Halal. Just be prepared to wait because they’re slow to open and they have some long cook times.
Pros: very reasonable price, Halal, ground beef is well seasoned
Cons: It opens when they feel like getting there, long cook times

The burger and fries was excellent! I had a combo #1 with no pickles and a coke no ice. I am glad I trusted the positive reviews because the burger was very tasty!
I only gave it 4 stars, though, because of one incident. We ordered to-​go and when the lady at the counter was filling our drinks, she was filling them in their plastic dine-​in cups. My boyfriend called back to her that it was to go so she sighed a little loud and poured it into the to-​go cups. Then, we realized that she had put ice into my drink. If I had forgotten to say no ice, I wouldn’t have said anything, but I did say it so my boyfriend called out to her once more. She rolled her eyes so hard that her head followed. She angrily dumped the drink and remade it.
Overall, the food made up for one slight glitch. I would return!

Let’s start off by saying it’s not the most hygienic place in the world and it’s not that much of a hole in the wall place to use that as an excuse. They didn’t have any ice for my drink so they found a cup on the counter and dumped that into my cup. Needless to say I didn’t drink it when I got home.
Other than that, the burgers seem freshly made and very juicy. Not used to halal burgers so it was a first time experience and it was very tender. It really reminded me of the whataburger patty melt, but without the heart attack and grease. Delicious.
I also recommend ordering the wings. I asked specifically whether or not the wings were a dry rub or wet/​sauce/​whatever it’s called, and they told me it’d be a sauce. To my disappointment, the lemon pepper came out as a dry rub but the wings were so perfectly fried. Not too deep fried but enough to make the chicken savory and melt in your mouth. Wings are A++!
