We eat here all the time food taste great, I have had several things on the menu. My favorite is the falafel sandwich. Service is hit or miss depending on the day.

The food here was extremely flavorful and the portions are huge! Well worth the $ 17 for chicken shawarma, rice, egg plant, 2 side dips, 2 pitas and Gyro. To add to the great food I was impressed with the service my waiter Jacob gave me. I work in the food industry and would love to have him on my team. I will be back soon.

Excellent food. The lamb kabob was cooked perfectly. Seasoned really well. The mixed appetizer provides a great sampling of a variety of different food. The dolmas were warm and cooked well. Hummus and babagaboush both were silky and flavorful. Gelato varieties at the counter were a nice surprise. Only big critique was the novice level of wait staff. Friendly but either just inattentive, slow, untrained or a combination of those. Several people waited a long time to order, for refills, for a check etc.

The buffet is well worth the price if you like that sort of food. Also very clean. I’ll definitely be back.

I love this place… it is away from the hectic restaurants on McArthur Blvd and the food is great. I like the simple atmosphere… clean and simple. I have been for lunch several times and am always satisfied.

This is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants ever! The service is amazing! I visited today at this new location and because I brought four guests who had never eaten here before, the owner was very generous to give me a complementary buffet visit! How AMAZING!

Just amazing. It starts with the pita bread, served freshly baked. Then pick anything from the menu, it will taste good. All fresh and tasty. The brick oven makes a difference. Kibe, hummus, baba ghanoush, kebab… all great.

This place is WAY overpriced for the food. We came here only because I lived in Saudi Arabia for 4 years and we had Zatar on a regular basis and heard this place had some good Zatar. That particular bread was definitely tasty and the service was good(therefore, the 3 stars). Each item is a minimum of $ 4.99-$ 5.99 and they have no per portion charge(like Andalous Mediterranean does). So you pay a flat rate and get minimal servings of appetizers(which already put our bill close to $ 20 bucks). The have a unique dip here called Muhammara that tasted decent but it was a scarce quantity spread on the small appetizer plate. They also do not allow you to order kebabs separately(without adding the whole plate plus sides and needing a small business loan to pay your bill). My husband, therefore, did no try any of the chicken options he was really looking forward to. The dessert was the adventure that we would rather forget. We ordered this new thing we have never tried called Kanafeh. It was definitely an assault to both our palates and we are huge foodies! It was like a sweet lasagna? But the cheese was way to overpowering for it to appeal to the dessert part of my brain. I kept thinking, «this should be ricotta instead of whatever cheese it actually was.» Overall, we might come try lunch buffet next time because we couldn’t even try the entrée since our bill was almost $ 30 with just apps and dessert! Reduce prices and up portion sizes, please.

Almost a year has gone by… and we’ve been coming to the Irving Afrah for dinner(ordering«a la carte» not the lunch buffet). We’ve noticed they’ve switched or lost managers /wait staff, and the service and the quality of the food has suffered. We’ve even attempted a few times to have Afrah to cater for our family gatherings or for our Christmas party but they’ve canceled on us each time. I’m waiting to see what the Iftar buffets will be like this year(which was delicious last year) but as for going to eat ordering off the menu, the variety is still there but the consistency of food quality, taste, and service isn’t really there anymore. It’s sad! –Bottom line: if you really want authentic Middle Eastern cuisine but don’t mind the hit or miss quality, taste, or service issues. …and honestly, there are much better choices –one, just down MacArthur blvd there in Irving that is way much more consistent, fresh, hot, tasty and authentic with great service.

Not much of an opportunity to add unique commentary. I work nearby and came for the lunch buffet. Wasn’t disappointing. Pretty legit stuff. Gotta try the coli-flour. TRYIT!

So, so good. Really wonderful service and delicious food. I’m always a sucker for lamb and kafta, and it did not disappoint. Also tried the akkawi for the first time(aka — cheesy heaven). Overall great food and experience.

Afrah is wonderful. The menu offers some food that you might find at a very good but smaller Gyro place and so much more. The menu is very large and full of specialties that will take me a year to try them all. The clientele is very diverse and everyone feels at home and comfortable. This was a delightful experience.

I made it to buffet!(On holiday) and although selection was extensive, quality and chicken seasoning/food taste was not as fresh. I’ll try to get here earlier next time.

Went here for lunch today and I thought it was great! Everything I had on my plate tasted great, I was pleasantly surprised. My favorite was the gyro meat, pita, and hummus. The greek salad was also awesome. Next time, I will probably just order off the menu because I really don’t think I ate $ 14 worth. They have a lot to choose from and the service was quick. Will go back.

WE went here for the lunch buffet. I was excited to have a new Mediterranean place to try. The buffet was alright, but it just did not compare to some of the other restaurants that are closer to my office and I just can not see taking the extra drive time. It is very popular and there were lots of people and cars in the lot. The buffet had a salad area where I chose some greek salad and beat salad which were very good. The hot part of the buffet is where I was probably least impressed. The baked chicken was only so so, and the gyro meat was the best item there. Depending on where you are located and how much you are willing to spend on lunch this might be the place for you but it will not be a place a frequent too often.

The buffet was not extensive — cost $ 12.99 + tax for lunch that incl drinks and dessert. Food was tasty, and I especially loved the salads. They were so fresh and well made. They have a gelatto bar with lots of exotic flavors like mango, guava, cardamom. I just tasted them and they were all good. Oh the pita was warm and fresh and so yummy with the hummus.

I highly recommend this place for anyone who likes or would like to try good Mediterranean food.

There are restaurants for Omnivores, and there are restaurants for Herbivores, but in the DFW area, there are only a few great spots where both can come and eat without having to do much adjusting(Samson’s Gourmet Hot Dogs and Lyfe Kitchen pop into my head). I can add Afrah to my list as a destination where both plant eaters and meat eaters can come together and dine in harmony! I love Mediterranean food, and I frequent these spots a lot because they have dishes that I can eat, but there are times when I’m not quite sure of what goes into some of these dishes and I have to ask, or ask them to leave certain things out. Here at Afrah, I don’t have to worry about that anymore! I’ve been to the Afrah in Richardson before, and I really enjoyed it. When I spotted a new one out in Irving, I definitely wanted to try it out! We were out that way one day at the lunch hour, so we decided it was the perfect time to give it a try. The new building was nice, nestled among a few new establishments that are popping up around the area. We went in and it was packed! Don’t let this deter you though, the restaurant is pretty big and plenty of seating was still available. I wandered over to the buffet and had a pleasant surprise! Each item of food that was on the bar was clearly marked«Vegetarian» and/or «Vegan»! Yes!!! There was plenty of meat on the bar too, don’t get me wrong, but it was a convenience for me that you don’t really find in too many places! I was real hungry at the time, so I tried a little of everything. The hummus was great, they have plenty of salads, including a potato salad that I’ve never tried before. The falafel was on point as well as the mixed veggie dishes and rice. Of course I can’t forget the pita bread which I couldn’t stop eating, always fresh and hot! The food here was just like the other Afrah. It’s been a while since I’ve been to the one in Richardson, so I don’t know if they also have Vegan labeling on their bar as well. I hope they’ve started this too! I will definitely keep Afrah in my rotation of good spots! You can’t go wrong at this place!

There are a lot of Mediterranean buffet in the Las Colinas but this is one of my Favorite after Terra of course. This place is a little cheaper than terra but the food here is delicious and fresh just like Terra’s. The reason why I am giving this place a 4 star instead of 5 is because they don’t have the Saffron chicken which is my favorite but other than that $ 12 for a delicious Mediterranean lunch buffet is hard to beat so check this place out!

$ 14 all you can eat including a drink! Amazing deal! Tons of options to choose from! Anything and everything you want in regards to Mediterranean food is there. Lunch time is packed full with people, it’s hard to grab an empty table. One thing I would suggest is having more selections on desserts. Overall, wonderful experience and excellent food. I recommend it to others an I would go back. Enjoy!

We ordered four kabob plates. Two salmon and two chicken. These come with two sides each. Each plate was really expensive for quality and portion size. The food was ok. Not bad but nothing special. The portion size for each plate was just enough for an adult male. The chicken plate was $ 17 and the salmon was $ 19. Seemed too expensive considering portion size and atmosphere. This is a simple clean family restaurant. Probably won’t be going back.

I’m a regular at this restaurant. Their buffet is $ 11.99 during lunch and is a pretty good deal. Their meat pies are really good. $ 3.50 each(ask to get them folded). I usually take the meat pies to go and eat them as a sandwich.

We came here for the lunch buffet. It was alright. I liked it. I thought the price was kind of high. Come early because it gets busy during the rush. Some notables: we thought the Vegan hummus was different. It was good, but different. Their lentil soup was really good too. I liked the pita bread. And for dessert they had this turmeric cake that was really good. The rice pudding was good too. The gyro was alittle dry but probably cause we got there late? Overall good experience, Not bad, if you’re looking for something Mediterranean and fast, this might work.

I’m so happy they opened here! I finally got to try their lunch buffet. It blows every buffet place in this area out of the water. AND it’s such a great deal. Normally, their plates are $ 12−14… so $ 12 for a buffet, you can really get your money’s worth! All the chicken kabob and garlic I want mmm! I’m very, very satisfied with the quality here. I love everything! Good ol’ Afrah… never lets me down.

$ 12 for lunch buffet drink included is all you ever need!!! this is the perfect lunch! They have a buffet stand for cold items and then hot items. All the meat varies from lamb kabob, chicken, gyro, and tilapia. All are DELICIOUS and your money is worth it already! I usually get beets, cauliflower, and hummus for sides. I didn’t care too much for cold items but the hot ones were the bomb!!! Desserts varies from chocolate mousse, fruits, and orange custard. I didn’t care for chocolate mousse because the texture was thick and grainy. Stick to the fruits and the orange custard!

I’m so glad that the Irving«outpost» of Afrah is open! I’m a big fan of the Richardson location(though I haven’t been in the new building yet), so I had high hopes going in. The space is quite large inside, and the seating is nicely spaced, with tables and chairs that are very substantial. Looking at the buffet, there’s plenty of room for many diners, and the dishes are logically laid out and clearly labeled. So, how does it taste? Wonderful! I made my usual gyro with tzaziki, hot sauce and garlic sauce; the pita was warm and soft, the meat was delicious and moist. I also had a tiny taste of baba ganoush, and it’s just as good as the other place. The fried cauliflower is also a star; I usually go for the darker pieces as they have more of that yummy browning. Everything that I tried(probably 7 items total) were fantastic. This place is awesome! Definitely get there if you’re in the area!

We were so happy to see Afrah opening near us. Sadly, our lunchtime experience was not that great. The gyro was good — no better than DiMassi’s or Andalous though. Everything else was kind of bland and the pita crunchy. Note: this was made to order food, not their popular weekday buffet. We assume it was really slow due to Ramadan. We will definitely give this new Afrah location a second chance in a couple weeks at dinner time or when they are able to have more customers for lunch. Stay tuned!
