Barbara Schmidt – State Farm Insurance Agent

I’ve been a customer with State Farm for 8 years. I moved to Texas and my premiums more than doubled. Granted, the rates change from city to city, state to state, but I inquired in multiple occasions to reevaluate my coverage and the premiums I was paying to see where I can save some money. I called the office, and one of the associates promised to call me back with what can be done but never called back. I was very unsatisfied and contacted a mortgage broker who shops insurance companies for you to get you the best rate. He ended up saving me $ 1,100 per year on my auto and $ 1,800 per year on my homeowners with a well known, reputable company. Based on customer service alone, I do not recommend this office. State Farm is great in the 2 other states that I lived in (both the agent I dealt with and the prices), but rates in Texas are through the roof and this particular agent just did not do it for me in a customer service standpoint.

Consistently excellent service and friendly staff. We’ve been with State Farm for almost 10 years now, and Barbara Schmidt and her staff are one of the main reasons. It’s as hassle-​free as dealing with insurance can get. I highly recommend them!
