BB&T

I was a Citibank customer for right around 10 years. Basically from mid-​college until now. The prime of my life. When I got the notification in the mail about the aquisition, I couldn’t believe my eyes. To say I was skeptical would be putting it lightly. I was LIVID. I instantly wanted to change banks to merely spite Citibank for delivering a traveshamockery such as this into my life. After many, many hours of thinking about how horrible this would turn out, I decided to walk directly into this branch and see if they could «sell» me on staying… WOW. That is the only word to describe how I felt when I first stepped into the building expecting a 30 minute wait in line because of these transition shenanigans. Boy, was I wrong! I was greeted almost instantaneously when I stepped forth into the branch. Like, the door hadn’t even fully closed-​yet quick. OK, I thought, «this must be a fluke». I asked for a wait time because I had to get back to work…5 minutes. 5 MINUTES WITH 5 PEOPLE WAITING. I was literally so shocked that I immediately decided I wanted to leave and come back later that day. So I did. And yet again, I was greeted at the door by not one, but TWO, associates before I could even take my sun glasses off. Bam, I’m sitting at a desk. Bam, my account is pulled up (and accurate). BAM! All of my questions were answered. Hell, at this point, not only was I shocked at how easy this was, I was cursing myself for ever joining Citibank in the first place! But then… then I get home to sign in online because that’s where I do most of my banking and this would be a deal breaker for me if it was too hard to understand or use. But alas, AGAIN, I was taken aback at how well the site operates. 20x better than Citibanks website if I have to put a fictional number to it. OMG. I forgot to mention the phone app. It’s PERFECT. I’m not even going to describe it, find out for yourself. So… to summarize: the branch is gorgeously well built, the people extremely knowledgeable and helpful, the website is the best I’ve ever used, and the app makes me want to jump for joy. If you had, or have, any doubts about BB&T, DONT! Because they ARE the real deal and now I support them 125%. Do yourself a favor and switch. Now. Trust me. I don’t write many reviews and I felt compelled to write this one because of the sheer awesomeness of my experience thus far. And I wrote this from a tiny android phone that hates me.
