Big Lots gets a bad rap, but I like their stores and they offer low prices. This store, however, helps fuel the bad reputation. First, it is located in a shady part of Irving, right off 183 and MacArthur Blvd. The shopping center houses several empty stores and a run-down parking lot(pot hole city.) Drive slowly to avoid damaging your car. The store is dirty, cramped, and even offers un-even floors to boot. If you love bargain shopping like I do, avoid this area and hit another Big Lots, either Dallas or Grapevine.

Horrible Customer Service. Went in there to buy a book self and couple other items. I waited for about 15 mins in the furniture section and no one ever came.(there were a few people waiting by the way) if I could have gotten the self out myself I would have. Called on my cell while I was in the back to get someone back there and their reponse was«let me see» You could hear them page and say«Furniture line 1». Well one that tells me you didn’t listen I am not on the phone I am standing in your store in the back. I waited another 10 mins. I see a lady come from the back part, white lady with a boy hair cut, looks right at me and walk off. Hmmm wonder if that was the Manager because she obviously has no sense of Customer Service. She saw me twice. I called again and said I AMWAITINGINTHEBACKAND I NEEDHELPNOW. Nope another 15mins passed by no one came to offer help. At this point so pissed off with the service I leave all my items I was going to purchase right in the middle of the store and walked out. Way to go Big lots with your piss poor of Customer service. Do not go here people!!!

I like Big Lots stores well enough. You can get good deals now and then on stuff for your home. I bought some not-too-ugly wall clocks here for cheap. I’ve been to other locations of this chain, and this one isn’t as nice as the others. This one has like missing floor tiles and just feels«dirty» when compared to others. But I had fun looking around for different things — decorations, pillows, etc.
