Update: It has been over a year since I reviewed Dr. Deems and his office. I would like to say that after having all this time to let the emotions subside, I still feel the exact same way about this practice. It is not like I went to him only once. I was a patient for about a year. I stuck it out because he was recommended to me by a co-worker. However, the experiences only got worse. It was implied that some people aren’t active in their healthcare. This is true, but I am not one of them. That is evident in my 1st review where I stated«if you have an idea of what is wrong with you, Deems will belittle you as though you don’t know a thing». I’m sure he is wonderful to his patients that have been loyal for 10+ years. Experiencing it as a new patient? You are treated like cattle. I’m only updating this because I am so passionately against this practice. That should say a lot about the quality of care. If you want a great doctor that will treat you like you matter, I highly recommend Dr. Alan Furman. I found him after leaving Deems’ office & have not had the slightest thought of switching. He is fantastic.(I reviewed him as well)

I read The first review on Dr. Deems and my experience has been totally the opposite. I’ve been seeing Dr. Deems off and on for about 10 years or so and he has been nothing but professional with me. Dr. Deems examines me and takes care of my problem and he always asks if I have any questions or concerns or any other issues while I am there. The times I do have a question, he takes the time to sit down and explain things. If I have questions, I go in there with them ready to ask. People need to be actively involved in their own healthcare, ask questions and if they don’t understand something, ask. I usually am able to schedule an appointment within a day to a week maximum and the longest I have had to wait in the waiting room for him is probably 10 minutes. Once I check in, I’m back to see him fairly quickly. He has a lab, x-rays, pharmacy all in the same building, so it makes it convenient. He is able to review the lab results and usually within about 48 hours, his nurse is calling with the details and any news or suggestions from the doctor himself. My only complaint is parking. Parking can be hard to find on some occasions. Give yourself at least 10 – 15 minutes or so to find a spot to park, just in case it is a full parking lot.
