I heard I had to try this place out. So at lunch I decided to make my way to Pollo Regios. Upon entering the resturant it was kinda small for the amount of people that were there. There is also a salsa bar if you like those kind of things. Guy at the cashier was super friendly. I decided to order the lunch special which has half of chicken with rice, beans and tortillas. There are other specials that are offered off a wall that are numbered with pictures. I didn’t know what to expect because we do not have these in Florida. I saw that chicken was wrapped in their very own pollo regio parchment paper. Interesting but it was fine with me. The chicken had great seasoning but didn’t seem fully cooked at all… ugh. I decided fully cook at home which eventually came out ok, the rice was ok and the beans were blan… no favor. I saw the only decent thing was there green spicy sauce which I really enjoyed. I might go back to try other options but just gave them 2 stars, no wow moment for me.

Uncooked meat, guacamole looks like salsa, I’m from Monterrey myself but this place changed a lot from when it first opened up

As a customer who comes here twice a week, I am disappointed to say I will never come again. Marina was unprofessional and rude to me as a valued customer. I paid for extra cheese and they refused to give me more. I said I would no longer come here after the way I was treated and she said«okay bye». Stay away from here

Delicious chicken. It’s the star of their menu and with good reason. Perfect example of the saying, «If you’re gonna do something, do it well.» Also, LOVE the fact that they serve it with grilled onions. Their salsa verde is the best salsa ever. Spicy and creamy, best of both worlds. I also would recommend trying their baked potato.(Papa Regio) It’s HUGE and loaded with meat and cheese.

Okay. This was… Intriguing. First. They didn’t speak any English. Lol. I had to ask for an English speaker which was kinda different. I ordered a burrito… To say the least it was NOT good. I had a bone or something in the meat and no beans or rice or anything. Utterly gross. There was even a part of the burrito that I couldn’t even eat there was so much tortilla it was rock hard. The beans and rice however was very good. I did enjoy those but the burrito was terrible. The meat was charred and just hard to eat. I didn’t enjoy this. Would not recommend the burrito at all. Terrible.

Sooooo yummy. I’ve only had their whole chicken but that in itself is delicious! Need to try other things on the menu soon! I think they need to expand to a bigger location.

I love this place! My favorites are the Baked Potato with Fajita, the Flautas, & of course the whole chicken! The seasoning they use on the chicken is FANTASTIC! The rice is the best«fast food» rice that you can buy. Seriously. Every single time that I’ve visited, it’s the same flavor and texture. Simply freaking AMAZING! The Flautas are crispy and delicious! The baked potato is HUGE and the fajita has an amazing flavor as well. The cashiers are bilingual and very nice. Great place to get a quick and tasty dinner!

i had to give it a star. just cause i like their tostadas silveria. do not come here if you want a tostada siberia. the cashier said they are out and its been a week because they dont have a place to put them. then they need to remove their ads because its false advertisement. they are just plain lazy!!! this place needs a real manager that will make sure everything is running smoothly and everything is stocked and ready and prepared for the next customer.

Pollo Regio’s chicken is delicious. I do like that char-grilled taste(the pictures of the negative reviews’ chicken DO look too done, but if you had the time to take pics of your burnt chicken and write a negative review, why didn’t you take the time to take it back and politely request a non-burnt chicken instead?) but it still manages to remain tender and juicy. I will agree with Zeke: the inside is a little scary, so if you can, utilize the drive-thru or take your food to go. I have had the half grilled chicken meal(their beans ARE good), the chicken burrito, and the chicken soup. THECHICKENSOUP. I was sick and had a sore throat and my husband guessed what might be OK for me to eat and got me this and it hit the spot. It was so good that I didn’t even care that adding the grilled jalapeño juice to it made it burn-y to my throat – it felt healthful in a way. It is also all about that spicy avocado tomatillo salsa! Get some extra because you’ll be sad when your little container is empty. The only negative thing I have to say about this place is that they have at least one of those American Express window clings on their door, but«don’t take American Express.» Yes, I have alternate payment options with me, but that’s one of my pet peeves. :-| At least take the window cling(s) down. The food is tasty though.

Just finish ordering to go… Dry chicken, burnt skin, so burn, my kids said«it tastes like charcoal», the quality of the food had decreased throughout the years, last time they forgot to put the rice in the order. This was the last time we buy food from here. To bad I can give you negative stars.

I have driven by several times and was always curious about El Pollo Regio but never stopped, then a guy at work had brought in some for his lunch and he was like oh yeah, you gotta try it. So, a couple of weeks later I went in to place an order, had no idea what get, he gets the beef carnitas with extra tortillas, so I got that and the chicken nachos, charro beans and rice. Got home and they forgot my beans & rice, was so disappointed. Omg though, there was so much food. Everything has so much flavor! I love the green salsa, but be careful, it catches up with you and next thing you know your tongue is on fire. Went back again this time got my beans, oh they are amazing, by far the best charro beans I’ve ever had! Today my bf and I went and we got the beef carnitas and chicken quesadilla all was very good. He has never been and he has lived in Irving for about 10 yrs. he will be going back. Next time I can’t wait to try the char grilled chicken. From the Arlington reviews, sounds amazing.

do not go there unless your mexican because you will not get what you pay for, they are prejudice. they do not give customer service that any normal human would expect at a fast food restaurant. very very bad service and i am very very upset and will never go there again. 1) i ordered a 5 piece ta quito plate at 1:30pm for inside dining and there was 15 people behind me in line. at about 1:50 i went to ask about where is my food and they said they had to cook it. i said but now all the people behind me got there food and i am still waiting? by now there is no where to sit by now it is 2:00 and i told the rude lady and she said she would fix it to go. even though i wanted to eat there she did not care. i think because i am black. so don’t go there if you are black it seems a majority of mexicans do not want black customers. 3) they take your money and then forget about your food. 2) they cheated me out of 1 ta quito & i ordered the pork ta quito should have been 5 pieces but they only gave me 4after waiting 30 minutes 3) i will never go there again because they only care about getting your money and serving the other mexicans only.

If your body is craving this place make sure you get it to go because the inside is. well scary for lack of a better word. The food is really good however. They stick with some authentic mexican flavors and seems somewhat better than the guilty feeling after eating something friend from mc donalds. I would recommmend the half chicken!

Hands down the best grilled chicken with green spicy sauce. We usually go to the one in Irving on N Beltine rd. One more thing, churro is out of this world.

Great flavorful mesquite grilled chicken and great carne assada. Also always smiling and friendly at the counter. I get a whole take out chicken and turn it into chicken salad at home. Take the beans and grilled onions and zap them in the food processor and you get a great dip.

been here a few times and I love it. all i eat here is the pollo medio(½ chicken). its a lot of delicious food(charro beans) there is only seating for about 15(the drive-through gets preference), so we try to get here early for lunch. English is a second language here, but the ½ chicken lunch can’t be matched.
