This is the first place I had traditional tacos years ago and I still love coming here. They are inside a grocery store. You order at the checkout and they always put someone who speaks English at the counter. If you go further into the grocery store they have an elotes counter. The meat is always well flavored and they give you options of both raw and grilled onions. Their lengua isn’t too greasy and I always love the pork option. Definitely give this place a try!

Amazing. Definitely one of the best taquerias I’ve been too and I will be back for the buffet soon. The Pastor and Chorizo tacos were absolutely phenomenal. The Barbacoa was good too, but I’ll go more Pastor next time. Highly recommend this place if you’re a street taco freak.

Every time someone tells me that they know the best taqueria I stop them and ask if it’s El Ranchero. I have tried their lengua, barbacoa, bistec, and pastor all on corn tortillas, and I am being honest when I say that I have not had better anywhere else. Just delicious and the meats are all just so tender and flavorful. And they’re open ’til into the early mornings on weekends and until late into the night on weekdays, which is perfect for those late night cravings.

Best street tacos in town! When you’re there it’s almost like you’re in Mexico. It’s also not the cleanest place you’ll ever go to but the tacos make up for it. Id recommend ordering to go and learning numbers in Spanish.

El Ranchero is a grocery/meat market nestled together with a very authentic Mexican restaurant. I can’t help but emphasize the environment inside this joint: it is lively; people simply enjoying the company of each other and the good food. They do have a $ 9+ buffet which is mostly meat. You order with the cashier and wait for you number to be called, as simple as that, if you understand Spanish. I tried pastor and other pork tacos. The tortilla and the meat both were very oily. I prefer the grilled version. However, that is not to say they weren’t good. The condiments section had two good types of salsa toppings to go with it. Even with limited English, the staffs were helpful and friendly. The tacos are very inexpensive at 1.25 except the lengua(1.50). Not sure if they have any combo options, didn’t understand the menu. Not a bad place to get tacos and other Mexican fares at a very casual environment.

Authentic, authentic, authentic, don’t bother with English they don’t speak it here, but you can’t beat the street tacos. The store is a well worn meat market, but don’t let the looks scare you away. I travel full time and have had the chance to try tacos all across the country and haven’t had a better taco in recent memory.

So good, so good, so good. I can’t emphasize how good this place is. I will drive 30 mins to get street tacos from here. They are super quick and so cheap. Their pastor meat is perfectly seasoned and the lengua is so soft. The tortilla has the perfect crisp and if you’re lucky, they’ll give you grilled whole jalapeños with the grilled onions on the side. A great place to people watch if go at late hours since this place is opened pretty late on the weekend. This place never upsets. Ps, in the corner of the store you can get some corn in the cup and it’s perfection.

Wow! Sitting in the table and chair area they would call a dinning room in a restaurant I had a amazing experience. With the few burned out ceiling fluorescents, dust all over the ceiling fans, dirty walls, ice cream freezers powered by taped together extension cords, old machinery in the corners that hasn’t been used in a while, a menu on the wall with hand written changes that haven’t been in effect due to six more menu changes that weren’t recorded, and old tired everything around me I sincerely thought I was going to walk out the doors into the humid, hot, salty smelling Ensenada air. I didn’t have to imagine Mexico, I was there. And the food was brilliant! You aren’t asked«soft taco» or «hard» or even«street taco»…tacos only come in one way-Perfect. Do yourself a favor and stop in at the Meat Market and have some grub.

If you are looking for good tacos at a great price, this is the place to go. Prices 5 Stars Food 5 Stars Appearance 4 Stars Customer Service 1 Star The treatment we got reminded me of Seinfeld’s Soup Nazi. I was expecting at any moment the lady to yell at me: «No Tacos for you!». Still worth visiting again to try the meat market.

Wow this place is great and the prices are even better. I recommend getting the buffet if you’re really hungry. Bonus is that this place is also a small market, so if you’re into Mexican cookies, sodas, and candy, this place has it. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re craving authentic Mexican eats.

I’ve had many great tacos all the way from San DIego back here to the grease bombs they serve at Fuel City. I heard about this place from one of my friends who told me that the tacos would«do you right» and I finally made my way over. The tacos served here aren’t quite as big name as the ones down the highway at Fuel CIty but they are still pretty darn delicious and cheap, not to mention they come with a really generous amount of onions and cilantro, a must for any taco. They were definitely on the greasy side but then again if you’re trying to eat Mexican food then you probably aren’t thinking about your diet. I’d definitely recommend this spot.

This place is delicious. So freaking good. I tried literally a taco of every flavor. Some were great, some were ok, and some were terrible, but hey to each their own. I really liked the pastor and chorizo tacos. All the tacos came with a very generous portion of grilled onions, Serranos, and fresh cilantro. It’s super cheap and you get a lot of food. I got 7 tacos and a Mexican coke for 10 bucks. It was presented really well and was totally unexpected. It’s open late too, like real like. Will definitely come back.

Do not be intimidated by the outside. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming! Everything is made fresh and all the meats are intensely flavorful! It has a walk up counter and a full market inside. The tacos are traditional and served on corn tortillas that are also yummy! This is the best deal in town at $ 1.25 a taco. We have been going for a couple eats now and will continue to visit for great tacos and authentic goods. Oh and they are open super late so it’s a great after a night out stop! You will thank me for this one it’s a must try!

Well, I was looking for smoked meats, and didn’t find it. This place is part butcher shop, part grocery store, part buffet restaurant kind of place. It was weird. A lot of the signage is in spanish, so I couldn’t tell if any of the meats were smoked(I didn’t think they were by the look of them). But I don’t think I’ll go back.
