We chose Eugene B Landscaping to redo a railroad-tie, retaining wall and install 300 yds of Zoysia Palisades sod. What we did not know when we awarded Eugene B Landscaping the job, is that they lack basic knowledge of installing sod which includes tilling the soil and smoothing/leveling the surface prior to laying the sod using a brick laying pattern because our yard slopes, and butting all seams and edges turned under. We are not asking for more than what we paid for. We expressed our concerns more than twice about ruts and uneven soil early in the sod installation process, but you ignored our concerns. You said the ground would level out as it settled and the seams would fill in in 4 – 6 weeks. TOTALLYUNACCEPTABLE! Now all we have is a LUMPY lawn, that may die in the areas where the sod does not even touch the soil. In fact, the ground is so uneven with ruts and holes, it is dangerous to walk on without falling. And all the ruts are just channels for water runoff because the sod was not installed properly on our sloping lawn. It has been a little more than 8 weeks since the install and the grass has not«settled» like they promised and now we have discovered the retaining wall is not secured properly and is dangerous! We paid $ 6,925.00 for this horrible project and Eugene B Landscaping is unwilling to rectify this and stand behind their work. The entire lawn needs to be leveled and the retaining wall needs to be secured properly.

I did not end up using them to do the work, but they estimated the cost of fence repair for me. I have to say that even though I did not use them, they were prompt and courteous in the estimation process. Really nice customer service. That says a lot in this day and age of contractors not showing up or even bothering to call.
