Clean, comfy room. Bed slept fine. Breakfast was a little carb heavy, but standard free breakfast fare. I stayed here on points, and glad I did. Worth the points. If you can get a good deal, stay here. But I wouldnt pay full price. Needs an update, or good deep cleaning.

Slimy corrupt business that took advantage of an airport shutdown to cheat us out of our room and money. Dec 26, storms and tornados shut down almost all of the flights at DFW. As soon as I realized we weren’t going anywhere I booked a room at this hotel. We booked ANDPAID for the room around 11:00PM., which is a pretty late booking that makes it fairly obvious we were desperate. Along with many hundreds of passengers we then stood in lines at the airport for hours and hours to try to rebook our flights or at least figure out what our options were. Finally, around 4:30 or 5:00AM we escape the lines and take a taxi to the hotel. During the hours fighting through lines the thought of that waiting bed was the only thing that kept us sane. However, when we arrive at the hotel tired, exhausted, and at the end of our rope, we are stunned to learn that the scum working there had cancelled our reservation and sold the room to someone else. Somewhere in the fine print it says they have the right, if we don’t show up by a certain time, to cancel the reservation. Given the circumstances just canceling the reservation would be wicked, but they went further and even kept our money. The contract allows this, they claim, but it is nonetheless astonishing that they had the gall to take advantage of that clause to profiteer off of all the desperate people that night. They tried to make it sound like they had been the good guys: «We waited very late to cancel», as though we had reserved the room months ago without paying and after holding an endless vigil they reluctantly declared us missing to avoid a loss. But that’s not how it went down. I booked AND paid for the room only a few hours earlier. Who gives away a room booked ANDPAIDFOR at 11:00PM regardless of when you show up? People with *no morals*, that’s who. They knew what they were doing, they knew they were turning desperate people out into the rain while they profiteered on a technicality. They weren’t trying to avoid a loss from a no show, the room was paid in advance. No, they were simply using the suffering at the airport next door to swindle people out of money. Not a minute later another person in our same situation came in with a «reservation» they had made while they were standing in the endless lines of a shutdown airport. Just like us, their reservation, made just a few hours earlier, had also been canceled and sold to someone else while the hotel pocketed their money. This was not a fluke or isolated incident, it’s just the unscrupulous way they roll. As for the quality of the hotel property itself, sadly, I can’t say much. All I got for paying them money was the simpering smile of the unethical person behind the counter and a few minutes breathing the weird smell that wafted through their lobby. Bottom line, if you like supporting unscrupulous people with low morals this might be the place for you. If on the other hand you don’t like thieves and swindlers, let them know by booking elsewhere. Do it for all the tired and desperate families they shafted that night.

A basic Fairfield property that benefits greatly from it’s proximity to DFW airport. Pros: Free parking. Free shuttle to/from airport, with extended hours(not 24hr). Free hot/cold breakfast included. WIFI. Numerous restaurants within a 5 mile radius. Location is in the beginning stages of being renovated. Cons: It definitely needs to be renovated!

We found ourselves with a longer than desired overnight layover at DFW. I wasn’t looking forward to wandering the airport like Tom Hanks in The Terminal and leaving the airport to explore the surrounding area didn’t seem like an option either. So I booked a nearby hotel at the last minute so we could at least catch some zzzz’s. For a short stay, I think the Fairfield Inn is okay. They have a free airport shuttle service from 4:30am-11:30pm. We called them from the airport to pick us up and they got there within 10 minutes. They also have free wi-fi. They give you the password when you check in. They also give you free toiletries in case you forgot them and free half liter bottles of water. The room was clean and the pillows were really soft. The bed was a little firmer than I’m used to. There was a 32 inch LCDTV in the room with cable, although the reception could have been better. The front staff was really nice. They offered info and complimentary services without me asking, such as a wake up call(thanks for the reminder!). Although we didn’t use it, they also have an outdoor pool and fitness center. They also have a complimentary breakfast which had a variety of pastries, cereal, egg(hard boiled or in a biscuit), fruit, and yogurt. We really rushed out of there, so we didn’t grab anything other than fruit. The one really bad thing is that if you find yourself hungry at any other time than breakfast, your choices are slim. There’s really nothing else nearby but a bunch of other hotels, a Denny’s and Whataburger.
