Besides the excellent subs they make at Firehouse, I can’t say enough about the customer service here. Every time we have come here the staff have gone out of their way to make sure we had the best meal possible. The even re-made a sandwich when my wife made a mistake and ordered a sub that contained ham. They quickly replaced it with a smile and no charge.

In the taste dichotomy of savory vs sweet, there are in my opinion, some things that just shouldn’t be sweet. Subs are one of them, and if you agree with that statement, you should not eat at Firehouse Subs. Firehouse offers subs on both white and wheat bread. Both are overwhelmingly sweet. The result is a sweet sub. Think sub with corn syrup dressing. You can’t really taste anything else. No meat flavor, no dressing, not even the bread, just weird artificial sweetness. The location is clean, the service is fast and friendly, there’s sports on the TV. But the food is awful.

I just ordered to go from here for my office. Sent one of my co-workers to pick it up. She came back missing a sandwich.(I had called in 3 of the sandwiches and then called back for the one that ended up missing, a few minutes later. So I can definitely see how they could miss it.) I called back, rather nasty acting, and I feel horrible now about(hangry action), might I add, to see if they could deliver it to us.(which they don’t deliver). They eagerly said yes, and she was here with the sandwich within 15 minutes! All sandwiches were tasty as ever, and we will definitely order from there again– We’ll just be sure to check the bag next time! Thanks so much for wonderful food, and even better customer service!!!

My fiancé and I were trying to find a restaurant for lunch last weekend to use Apple Pay with on our new phones. It told us this place was only about 15 minutes away. We figured we’d try it out. Easy to find right next to the Irving Mall, this place was surprisingly a delight! It was very easy to order the food, and even easier to pay with Apple Pay! We ordered 2 medium sandwiches– the Italian and the Meatball Parm. 1 drink and one bag of chips. This came to right under $ 15– not bad. We ate in and they brought the sandwiches right to us! They even took our trays when we were finished– very nice! We LOVED the Italian– minus mayo and mustard. I wish there had been more. The Meatball Parm had a little too much sauce for my taste. What I loved is that we felt satisfied afterwards and not greasy or gross. We both look forward to coming back and trying some new sandwiches. Great experience, the fire in our tummy’s was put right out!

I like fire house they have great subs and ok prices. I like them because they have the modern fountain drink machine and i can get a peach sprite. My favorite sandwich here is the smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket that has to be the best sandwich the have there. On my last visit here i got the turkey sandwich and it was goos i enjoyed experimenting with the many bottles of hot sauces that they have. Most of those i can’t even find in stores. Too bad none of them were that hot though even the ones that claim to have the highest rating were just mediocre no wonder they can’t be found in stores.

Well the food is always good. I personally love the Italian sandwich. However, the taste if their food goes without saying, so the review is to compliment their staff. I had a pretty complex and complicated order that was frustrating me just to order it however the woman taking my order was so patient and understanding the whole time. I was greeted and spoken to by each member on their staff and not just the typical«welcome to firehouse» but genuine greetings and conversation. Can’t say enough about these guys but this type of customer service will have me back time and time again!

I can’t believe I’ve never had this before! This location is always clean and friendly staff! Their subs are delicious! A plus for having so many different variety of sauces. I’ve tried almost all the subs on the menu and I love every single one of them! Way better than which which in my opinion.

In the mode for a sub! Then come here! Where the bread is extra soft and fresh! Toasted perfectly! There are tons of options to choose from! You can go hard with veggies or do a meat overload on your sandwich! Either way its gonna be awesome! There veggies are fresh and they even have mushrooms, which I love! You can select from 2 sizes, medium or large. The large is huge, so come hungry. My favorite is the meatball sub with extra peppers or the steak and mushroom. Its favor is mouthwatering! Feel free to add a bag of chips or fountain drink to wash it down! Plenty of seating at this location. And the staff actually says hello when you walk in the door and also says goodbye when you leave. Once you have placed your order, the staff actually brings your meal to you once its finished cooking. And when you finish eating, they come and pick up your plate! Loved the service here. Store is clean from front to back! I will be back!

Convenient location on MacArthur. Friendly, fast service. I dined in and was surprised to see them playing Snoop Dogg’s tv show about his son’s budding football career. My meatball sub was hot and tasty. They have a soda machine that allows you to choose several different varieties. Overall, a satisfying, quick lunch.

The food is always good, but the service was horrible, there were two young guys and they were paying more attention to the TV than us, they messed up our order and we’re just rude, I am not coming back to this firehouse again

As welcoming as the place feels when you enter, firehouse’s staffs make your entrance even wonderful; a greeting in unison assures you that you have come to a right place. The gentleman who took the order made sure that I understood all the free add-ons I could get with my sub as it was my first time here. I obliged and ordered my medium-8″ Veggie Sub with black olives, cucumber and jalapenos sans the mayo. The lightly sauteed bell peppers and onions were in perfect harmony with the crunchy lettuce, tomatoes, and olives and the warm melted cheese bringing them together. It was simple yet wonderfully created sub that came with a side of pickle spear. When ready, the sub is brought to the table unlike many places where you have to pick it up; here I felt special. My sub was too good, I didn’t even need any of the wide array of sauces that is proudly displayed atop the counter that many bears a number indicating the pain that you’ll endure the next morning; choose wisely. A medium sub for 5.49 was more than a bargain. The place looks clean, well-lit with lots of tables. With environment, service and food that I experienced at Firehouse, guess who will be eating subs frequently?

Fast and friendly service even during a busy lunch hour. A steamed sandwich doesn’t necessarily sound enticing, but it certainly exceeds my taste bud’s expectations. My favorite is the hook and ladder and I love that I can get it in a salad, too. There fountain drink dispenser has at least 100 flavored drinks to choose from: e.g. Vanilla, cherry, orange, grape, sodas of all kind and lemonades and tea and even flavored water. Better to order online for accuracy instead of phone in.

I love the New York steamer! I really want to try the engineer because of the reviews on here… but New York steamer keeps calling my name«James…James…pick me» and I’m like yes, you.

Yay! I love this place! I absolutely hate sandwhiches but subs? Love them! And Firehouse does ‘em right. From the moment you walk in the door, you’re greeted by friendly, fun folks. The food is absolutely, finger-lickin’ delicious(I ordered the club on a sub last time) and I love how they have the custom-flavor soda machine. I am all about the customizations. Once I did vanilla-cherry-Sprite zero and the last time I did strawberry-grape Powerade. Yum. Prices are decent– $ 10 will get you a full meal with a large drink. Good for me. Oh, and the hot sauces are the bomb. So much variety and the folks there will help you pick one to go best with your sub. Love it.

The Engineer sub is awesome! This place is always packed at lunch time but well worth it. Steamed subs, so awesome! After moving away from Texas for a while and not having Firehouse available, it’s great to be back. Keep up the delicious work!

Good for Firehouse Subs. Staff is friendly and the sandwiches tasty. Like every other Firehouse though, it’s too expensive. The TV’s are loud also and work against each other.

Great hot sandwiches that’s quick and good. Parking isn’t ideal during lunch time but the customer service definitely makes up for it. Every time I’ve been the manager checks in and asks how we are doing. I remember one time looking for a hot sauce and gave up but they looked everywhere and brought it to us once they found it. It’s a small gesture, but definitely appreciated. I recommend the Italian sub, definitely my favorite here.

Really good subs! I had lunch here the other day and was surprised at how good the sub was. Firstly, when you walk in, every single kid behind the counter will yell out«Welcome to Firehouse» «Firehouse!» «Fire… house» — or some variation. That gets old REALQUICK. I don’t know what it is about these places in Texas but back in Boston this never happens. I placed my order and got my drink. They have one of them fancy Coke machines where you can make your own flavors, etc. That’s awesome. What wasn’t awesome was the line for the drink machine. They need two. They also yell out«Code Red» or «Code 6» all the time. That also gets really old really quick. I get the fire-house theme, but calm down. It’s disturbing to eat there with all the shouting. BUT the sub was great — I had the Number 1 which was like a grilled turkey-cheese sub thing. It was really good! I’d go back — but maybe eat outside away from the shouting…

I’ve never been in this part of town before, so I relied on Unilocal to find me something other than fast food. Firehouse subs had ok ratings but was in the same parkinglot I was, so it won. The service was good and the guy who took my order was willing to give recommendations. The guy who delivered my sandwich recommended a sauce(that I didn’t realize exist) — and it really made the sandwich. Sadly, there’s no wifi. The tvs were on different channels and had full volume — so it was difficult to focus on anything. The bathrooms and restaurant are clean. If you’re in a hurry and want something other than Subway — you won’t be disappointed. If you’re looking for a culinary adventure, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

This was my first visit to this chain. I ordered a turkey ranch sandwich. While I waited, I went to choose a drink from the coke freestyle machine. I’ve used these before so I chose Coke and expected to be able to add a flavor. Sadly, there were no flavors available. For a small, my sandwich was huge! It looked delicious but was bland. I expected more flavor, similar to Quiznos. I noticed a sign claiming that if you show your id on your birthday you score a free sandwich! The service here was very polite.
