I’ll start my review by saying PLEASE GO TO JASON when you go to Humphreys salon! I have been in irving for 3 years now and haven’t found such a talented hair professional in dfw and believe me I’ve been to many! I went to another salon for balayage just last week they totally messed up my hair and over charged me. Thank god I found jason through these amazing reviews on Unilocal
I wish I had searched on Unilocal before going and didn’t take my friends advice. He was very helpful.
He understood what I wanted, he’s like a hair wizard.
He gave my hair a stunning fabulous makeover also threw in a haircut to give my hair movement and gave me a discount because he knew I had been ripped off last week! I would recommend JASON for any and every hair treatment
He’s not only an amazing hair genius but also a very good hearted and generous person!

I highly recommend Franz if you are looking for a good haircut. He listens to what you want but also offers good advice. I have been going to him for over 15 years and have never had a bad experience.

I’ve been trying out a few salons in Dallas, but I’m so glad I scheduled an appointment with Heather! She took the time to listen to me, and made me feel really comfortable. And my hair looks and feels great! She cut my layers in a way that blended them really well, so I feel like my hair looks fuller (it’s more shiny the week after my cut too). I’m so relieved that I’ve finally found a stylist (with the added bonus that the salon’s close to home)!

Ok I know how hard it is to find a good stylist and I’m here to tell you go see Franz Alexander at Humphrey ‘s Salon! He is absolutely the BEST stylist I have ever had! I’ve been going to him for 17 years!!!
My husband, son, daughter, and daughter-​in-​law all go see him to!
He is very update on the latest styles and really listens to your needs. You will leave happy and feeling like a Million bucks!

Not sure what the big deal is. Overpriced and overhyped. The cuts are not great and the prices are ridiculous for what you get. Everyone walks out looking the same — BORING. My advice, drive into Dallas and get a grownup haircut. Clive and Co., Osgood-​Oneil, Jean-​Philippe, Jose Eber, even a Toni and Guy senior stylist who has been continuing their training would be better. There are way too many salons in this town to pay these prices for mediocre style.

Franz is not only an awesome person but I wouldn’t trust anyone else to cut my hair! I drive from North Dallas to Irving to get my hair cut — that’s how good he is. Even when I want to change styles, he knows exactly what to do. But wait, there’s more! Valerie is my colorist at Humphries and she totally rocks (along with being extremely talented). I always get compliments on my color. Whether it’s highlights or just base color, she knows exactly what compliments my skin tone. Go see Val and Franz!

I went to get my hair Balayaged. IT WAS AMAZING! Jason did it and I could not of asked for better service. Personable and knew exactly what I wanted. My hair turned out the best I have ever had. I highly recommend this salon and my stylist Jason. I will be returning again.

I found Humphrey’s on Unilocal after I had almost decided to attempt to try to fix a series of bad haircuts myself. My old stylist was excellent, and I could literally roll out of bed and into a business meeting without even having to brush my hair. She quit working when she had children and I have tried about 10 different stylists from the $ 20-​$ 80 range with zero success for my basic chin-​length bob. The last time was the worst though, as the stylist seriously butchered the bottoms, trying to get it to turn under on its own. All it did was poof out at the bottom. It was so bad that I either had to wear a headband or keep my hair tucked behind my ears as I was letting it grow. I decided to try one more time as I had a few big meetings the following week, and found this place not too far from my office. I called and the receptionist was so pleasant, and when I explained my situation and frustrations, and she said Fritz was my guy and that he was a «cut specialist». I made a same day appointment for that day after work. I was pretty confident with my decision when I drove up and the parking area in front of their store was filled with BMW’s and Mercedes, and all of the clients had very nice handbags.
Fritz was awesome! He took a lot of time before even taking me for a shampoo, checking out where the problems were, and checking to see what parts of my hair were thicker than others so he could develop a game plan. He took about an hour and styled it just as I do at home, without any products or flat iron. When he was done, he showed me the couple of places that it needs to grow out just a bit more and that my next cut in a couple of months it will be perfect. It was as perfect as possible given what he had to work with, and my hair actually looks longer because he tapered it in a way that frames my face. To top it all off, they did not try to sell me a single product the entire time, even though there were plenty displayed on the shelves. They did recommend going ahead and scheduling my next appointment though, saying that they book up quickly in the fall and holiday season.
My true test of a haircut is not how it looks when I leave a salon though. It is 1. How it looks when I wake up, 2. How it looks when I wash and style it myself, and 3. How it looks after a long sweaty day of work (I own a business and spend a lot of the day in our warehouse). I mean, can I work all day and then have an impromptu big sales meeting without having to straighten it again. This haircut has passed all three tests and I have a new hair guy!

I highly recommend HEATHER at humphreys! She is adorable, friendly, and very professional! She does wonderful hair color, treatments, and haircuts! You won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been going there for about 2 or 3 years. I’ve always get my hair color/​retouched, trimmed, deep conditioned & blow dry. Amy Velasquez always takes a good care of me. She is absolutely fantastic. However, the rest of the staff are great as well.
I love the products that they used — Kerastase.
Pretty reasonable price.

Jason has been doing my hair for years and always does an amazing job! He is incredibly talented. Jason keeps my hair strong and healthy and my color looking natural. I cannot recommend Jason highly enough.

Jason wiggin is the absolute best in the business. I’ve been going to him for the past 6 years and when we temporarily moved to Philadelphia, I still came back to Dallas every 6 weeks just to get my hair done. He always knows what looks best and ensures I leave with exactly what I’m looking for. When I want to change things up, I trust him to do whatever he thinks is best. I’ve never had a bad experience and can’t imagine going to anyone else!

If you’re looking for a hip stylist or just plain good; Call Jason Wiggins. I receive countless compliments about my style even when I have bed head! He’s been my stylist for 8 years and let’s me down. When his schedule is tight he always manages to work me in.

I went to Humphrey’s Salon for the first time yesterday, and could not be more pleased with the end result. My biggest complaint of my former hair stylist was the lack of attention she gave before and during the cut. Every time I would leave I would be unsatisfied with some part of the haircut (but I loved the color and the price was inexpensive). However, I decided it was time to try someone new and am SO happy I did.
I saw Tayler yesterday, and will be going back to her next time! I got about 6 inches cut (drastic change), highlights, lowlights, deep conditioning treatment, and their «break the base». I also bought two recommended products. Tayler was great. She spent time discussing my hair type, hair needs/​routine, etc. She even cautioned me on the style I wanted and took time explaining how it would effect my daily routine. After she cut and styled my hair, she once again took time to make sure everything was even and cut correctly. I was at the salon about 3 ½ hours but it was time well spent! For the first time since moving to North Texas, I have no complaints and will definitely be returning! If any of the managers or owners read this review. give Tayler props on her customer service/​technique.
The salon itself was was very nicely decorated, was full of customers (mix-​gendered which is rare to see), and the staff overall was very friendly and helpful. Linda (the front desk girl) was great when I made the appointment and when I called to say I was running a little late.
I am very impressed and glad I gave Humphrey’s a try. I will be returning!!!

I just had my first visit at Humphrey’s hair salon in Irving Texas. Amy is wonderfully talented and I appreciate all of the time that she took to take my hair from excessively long to decently short. She’s a wonderful conversationalist and has worked at Humphries exclusively for her career choice. As longevity really does make a difference. I appreciate her.

I love Heather at Humphry Salon! She always tries to squeeze me in & is always so fast. She looks at what’s going on with your hair & color. She’s conscious of not drying out your hair or adding too much color, which is awesome for me with fine hair. She’s always so friendly & smiling. It’s hard to find a good hairstylist that’s consistently good. Heather is great! Definitely go see her next to the Tom Thumb by the Four Seasons on MacArthur. Easy & convenient location as well as a very nice salon.

My wife has been going to Humphrey’s since around 2008… she has never stayed with a hair stylist this long. Valerie has always done an excellent job. Below is my wife’s review, which was filtered by Unilocal for some unknown reason (maybe she didn’t have enough reviews), so I will pass her review on:

…and considering we have moved from Irving to Richardson in the past year and my wife STILL comes to Humphrey’s, fighting Dallas traffic on LBJ and/​or the Bush Turnpike… THAT says a lot!!!

I moved to the Dallas area in January and knew I had to find a good stylist immediately. I had a bad experience at tangerine in Coppell that left me frustrated. I found Humphreys by searching here on Unilocal and I’ve been more than satisfied!
Heather Pedregon cut my hair and did an amazing job! I’ve seen her 2 more times since and I always leave feeling beautiful!!!
