Hyatt Place Dallas Las Colinas

Best hotel experience ever! The staff is so friendly and helpful! The manager is so sweet and caring! She and the rest of the staff made my family and I feel so welcome and comfortable! They did everything and more to show us how much they cared! My puppy was sick and they showed her so much love also! Thank you guys so much for being so sweet and caring!

The hotel was clean. The staff was very friendly. Free breakfast. Doesn’t get much better. I stayed for 3 nights and slept like a baby. I’ll be back.

Worst hotel experience. This place doesn’t care about their guests at all. Said they were over booked and couldn’t explain the issue but had to move me to another hotel. Staff seemed Ill prepared to answer questions.

I had a confirmed reservation through my company. I booked this place as this place has gum and all the facilities. Unfortunately when I reached after a long long day (my day started at 4 am), they told me that they ran out of rooms due to plumbing issues and booked me in extended stay. Horrible experience. This is the second time in a row they are doing this. Never book Hyatt again. At least this will be the last time I will be staying in Hyatt. Bad brand

We stayed here for 2 nights, very comfortable rooms. Neat and clean. Amazing breakfast, included in tariff. Near the airport. Would definitely come back!

Good business hotel with good breakfast, service and shuttle van service. The only real issue is that the AC unit beside my bed is very noisy and I couldn’t sleep through its cycling on and off.

I will be staying here for my return trips. The staff have been amazing. I have been traveling for three weeks to various places and am 6 months pregnant. Sleep is troublesome most nights, especially when away from my own bed. I asked the staff if they had ear plugs (not noisy, but thought it would help to block out the world and focus on sleep). Turns out they did not, so the manager went to the store at 10 pm to get some and delivered to my room. Fantastic staff! Thanks, Eric and Dante!

First off, I want to say this-​this is a great hotel! I want a clean, comfortable, and modern hotel to stay at when I come to town. This Hotel has it all. And the restaurant right next door? It’s excellent! If you’re coming to the Dallas-​Fort Worth area, and you want a nice, safe, and modern hotel? This is it. It’s been modernized recently, and front desk team is really fantastic. I was checked in so quickly that I had to do a double check.
Now — I travel a lot for business-​and my company is not exactly a spendthrift. But this hotel is one I will stay at again the next time I come to town. I’m only upset that I hadn’t stayed here before. It isn’t just the spacious rooms-it’s the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff that I truly appreciate. If you come here, you won’t be disappointed-​unless, of course, you are never, ever, happy. In which case, I feel sorry for you. This hotel is recommended — very much so– especially given its price point. I’m happy here — you will be too.

Friendly staff, clean rooms. I couldn’t have wanted more for a quick stop. Missed breakfast, but I’m sure it was nice.
Coffee and pastries are available for purchase, but I’m not quite sure who staffs that or at what hours.
The mini gym was basics but well put together. New machines and a solid dumbbell set.

This should be more of a 3.5 star review. We stayed last night. Really liked the the décor of both the public areas and the rooms. They rooms had a nice suite-​like set up. I also liked the larger than normal fitness center.
Things we didn’t like were the loudness of everything in our room. We walk in and the first thing we hear is the toilet running. It would randomly run. Luckily the bathroom door kept us from hearing it. The refrigerator was loud (trying to cool down from being off.) The worst was the A/​C. The plus was that it drowned out the other noises of the room.
There was also 1 (out of 2 elevators) out of order and the ice machines on like 3 floors didn’t work.
I did like that there was a free hot breakfast. It had scrambled eggs, sausage links, and French toast as the hot items. They had all of the continental breakfast items as well.

Pros:

* Good fitness center
Cons:
* Only one of the 2 elevators was running the entire week I stayed there.
* Housekeeping missed my room one day. I called front desk after returning from work, but they told me housekeeping was gone for the day. The same thing happened to my colleague on 3 separate days during our stay.
* Breakfast is not great — powdered eggs, semi-​stale bread, rock hard brown sugar, etc…
I checked out early after housekeeping forgot to clean my room. There are much better hotel choices in the Las Colinas area.

There’s snacks at the reception. Complimentary breakfast starts at 7 and there’s a gym!
This place is rated as a 4 star hotel. Overall, it’s fine if you’re there for business travel, but I wouldn’t really recommend it for a vacation. It’s close to the airport, but it’s in a suburb more than anything else. There aren’t that many great restaurants in the area and it’s a pretty decent drive to get into downtown where all the fun is.
As mentioned above, there is complimentary breakfast. That being said, I wouldn’t say they are very prompt about clean up. They seemed to wait to wipe down the tables after breakfast until noon even though it was over a few hours before then.

I have stayed here twice in the last 2 months. The first stay was fine as I did not need to eat a meal there.
First of all, Orbitz lists this property as having room service. Not true. You order off of a small menu and have to go downstairs to pick it up. I had a terrible Cesar salad in a plastic bowl with a lid and mushroom soup. Terrible. That took over 30 minutes for the front desk to prepare. Really?
Also, there was black mold growing in my shower. The lock in my room was broken and ripped off the wall. I had to tell the front desk about it. They did repair it by the time I returned to my room that night. (The mold was also taken care of.)
The rooms are a nice size and the bed in comfy which are both important. Breakfast is included and also nice. I took a small cup of oatmeal with me to the office. The brown sugar however was hard as a rock. It must have been there for weeks without being refreshed. Gross.
Front desk employees were nice enough. Nothing over the top. It’s really just an OK place. I do not plan on staying there again given the limited dinner options and no room service. At the end of a super long day I really enjoy getting into my sweats and ordering dinner while I work.

The staff is super friendly. I am so glad that they have food and wine so I do not have to venture out for dinner after a long day of travel. This hotel has a great fitness center. Very large with lots of equipment can’t wait to work out in the morning to get my day started

First off if you are not familiar with the area it is sort of hard to get to. Once you miss your turn you are almost forced to go around and come in the back way. The pool was clean and fresh towels were outside for your usage. The lobby area was ok, it was clean and smelled good when you walked in. The only real problem I didn’t like was almost every time I got on the elevator to take me to the 6^th floor it STOPPED at EVERY floor and the door opened. (Ghost maybe, lol) After awhile that kind of got annoying. The rooms were clean, average sized for what you paid for. Shampoo and conditioner and soap as well as toothpaste provided for you, which is always a perk in case you forgot to pack extra.

I traveled to Dallas for the Cowboys v. Giants game recently and could not find a hotel/​motel close to the stadium. My corporate info pointed me to the Hyatt Place Las Colinas. About a $ 25 cab ride from Dallas Love Field and another 30 min from Cowboys Stadium.
Friendly staff, clean, full bar, every employee is a barista. The elevators are ancient, and you are better off taking the stairs if you are in a rush one way or another.
Room was clean, great size. Provided Shampoo, Conditioner, bar of soap, toothpaste, no body lotion. There are computers to print your boarding passes as well as a few TVs downstairs if you want to hang out anywhere but your room. There isn’t much else around unless you want to walk half a mile to get to Bennigans or Benihana’s…Beni-something.

The front counter didn’t look like one you would see at another hotel, because it blended with the rest of the décor. This hotel was surprising because the room we reserved had two doubles but there was also a sofa bed. Those were the ones that a bed can be pulled out from under the sofa cushions. The sofa was comfortable as well as the bed. I liked the big screen tv with the control panel on the side where you can plug in stuff to show on the tv. We didn’t have any of those to try out but that was fine. There was also a frig so we were able to store some drinks in there overnight.
They had complementary breakfast and the food was nothing special; however, they had what looked like McMuffins but were made there. Seating was limited when we came for breakfast because everybody took any possible seating available. We sat on the couch area near the front hotel but it was better than no place to sit.
For the price we paid, it was a lot of bang for our buck and I’d recommend this hotel if you’re passing through.

Affordable and Clean place to stay for business trips. Breakfast and wifi are included in the daily room rate along with complimentary hotel shuttle (which comes in very handy since this place isn’t that close to any convenient stores/​restaurants).

I usually stay at the Aloft or the 4 Seasons with our great corp rate. With the superbowl in town I had to make adjustments. I booked a room here for 2x the going rate which was reasonable compared to everywhere else.
The room was larger than I expected with a nice wrap around couch for a sitting area, a large 42″ tv that pivots to be viewed from either side or both. The room has a fridge and a desk.
If they have remodeled this place, they did a great job, even replaced the light switches and outlets to more current designs. Only bathroom felt cramped compared to the Aloft.
Also the TV had all the HDMI hookups I like, for those that roll with their own media streamers, xboxes, etc.

A friend of mine who’d driven down from Oklahoma stayed here with me on May 16^th, 2009 — the day before my husband (then friend)‘s graduation. We paid $ 56.53 through Hotwire. (Such a steal!)
This stay was my first at a Hyatt Place — from the moment I walked in, I was sold. After saying at quite a number of the newly renovated hotel chains, I can safely say that the Hyatt Place and aLoft are my favorites of the limited service mid-​range hotel chains.
The Hyatt Place chain is pretty standard. Every single one of the 4 I’ve stayed at (including this one, which was my first) has had a nice, clean, modern interior and always great-​smelling hallways. (I wonder what they use!) The rooms usually have a divider between the bedroom and living area, which includes a sectional, coffee table, desk, and LCD screen. Oh, and a coffee maker + fridge. Their alarm clock has MP3 connectivity. I absolutely adore their interior designers.
The housekeeping staff are very thorough, and the people at the front desk seem to methodically do their job — greets you with a smile, swipes your card for the deposit, checks you in, hands you the card. Takes no more than 5 minutes. I also like that the Hyatt Place chains have self check-​in kiosks available.
A basic breakfast is included with your stay — Starbucks coffee, Tazo teas, orange juice, milk, basic cereal, bagels, toast and fruits. You can also opt to purchase a more complete hot breakfast. They also brew Starbucks coffees (available for purchase) after breakfast hours.
Internet access is free.
