Michaels

So far I’m not impressed with the kids classes. The first time was with an instructor that was new to doing the class and not really prepared. Today the instructor is running late. Not good since I need to work at noon (the class is at 10:00).

We shop here far too frequently. There’s always a good sell — check their app! The staff are very courteous and are willing to help find anything you need. Also, they do a great job with custom framing (check for sales). You have to be quick about catching seasonal sales because they quickly move products out for the next season/​holiday.

Irving desperately needed a craft store. I don’t shop here often, but it’s nice to know there’s a craft store close by. The location is in the perfect spot.
I find all craft stores to be overwhelming. Maybe it’s because I’m not a craft person.
I’m usually looking for a specific item or in the photo frame area.
This store is clean and the staff (when you find someone) is friendly and helpful.

Terri was very nice at the till and helped me out with a coupon I forgot at home. That’s what makes Michaels employees the best to artists on a budget when they can help us out. Of all the locations this one was very pleasant. Thank you I shall return

As far as stock on hand, that is good. My biggest complaint is not enough sales people. Every time I go in the store in Temecula, Calif., there is one cashier, maybe two and 15 customers waiting in line. Is this a problem… YES. Doesn’t Michaels want to hire help, or isn’t that a priority for the company. Hobby Lobby always has many cashiers available for customers to check out. They will give Michaels a run for their money if something isn’t done to improve customer service!!!

Store was somewhat clean but not well organized. Sales stuff was mixed in with regular items. And price checker was hard to find. There was a good selection and displays are nice.
Not much staff to help you find things. There was a class going on and I showed some interest but the Instructor came to the door but didn’t say anything. Or give me direction to where I could find more info.

Sales on art supplies are the main reason I shop here. Michaels is one of those stores that has sales and online coupons every week (kind of like another popular craft store chain that shall remain un-​named here). Avoid buying anything full price here unless you’re having some bizarre craft emergency — I’m sure it could happen, but so far I guess I’ve been lucky to dodge that bullet.
They have a decent selection of canvases, although I don’t find them to be as high of quality as the ones sold at art specialty stores. They also carry Golden Acrylics, Liquitex and their own store brand of paints and mediums. Easel selection is minimal, but they have a good basic selection of brushes.
Of course there are tons of other craft accoutrements too: yarn & fiber art supplies, floral supplies & ribbon, frames & pre-​cut mats, kids craft kits & models, wooden cut-​outs, cake decorating supplies, scrapbooking, holiday décor and craft items, mass-​produced home décor items that look like they were hand crafted using the materials from the store, and pretty much anything else you could think of for your newest Pinterest inspiration. They also offer art & craft classes in case wandering the aisles doesn’t inspire you by itself.

Called ahead to reserve a letter for a marquee sign for my wedding. When I got there the wrong letter had accidentally been put on hold. The very helpful cashier helped me call all the other nearby stores and locate/​hold the correct item. She went out of her way to help me get the final letter needed for my wedding sign and I’m most grateful! Thank you!!!

Great selection of crafts and everything you would need to make some fun projects. The employees are very friendly and are always willing to help.

There are a variety of choices when it comes to craft stores but Michaels is always my first stop. I can always find a coupon and they seem to have the best deals. I wish they carried fabric that’s probably their only downfall.
This location is great because they have useful staff and they do a great job at managing the line time.
The store has a little bit of disorganization but don’t all crafters. ;)

Well I must say! This is the place to go when you need to decorate or feel in the mode of making some amazing art or projects! Lets first start with a «Everybody loves a deal» Check out their website for amazing coupons. Most coupons will say 40% off every day purchases! BUT then on sale items you may find couplons that take an addition 25% off! Just show the check out peeps your phone! And the best one of all is if you are an Educator, you get 15% off your entire purchase everyday all day!!! Now wow! You cant beat that!
The store is super clean and very well staffed! Any help you need just ask and its their. I love this location because theirs tons of parking outfront, and you get amazing service!!!

Very big, clean and organized. They have stuff I couldn’t find at other Michaels like my bridal floral pins I desperately needed, but their bachelorette section is so tiny that I was disappointed. For a very big store, I expected that section to be bigger. Despite that, I like the store and its location. I will be back many more times in the future.

This is the cleanest, most well organized Michaels I’ve ever had the pleasure of being inside of (that’s what she said!). Not only were things easy to find, but the employees actually knew where things were supposed to be and were willing to take you to their locations. The prices are pretty standard, but they do always seem to be having some kind of sale, usually on frames (right now it’s buy one get one half off or free) and canvases. The store itself is almost the size of a bed bath and beyond, with the restrooms located in the back toward the right. Definitely the best Michael’s in DFW and worth the extra driving to get here if you don’t live nearby!
The store itself is sandwiched between a rack room shoes (bogo sales abound) and a grouping of Ross/​TJMaxx/​Homegoods stores in a big store strip mall which also includes a huge Target, an ulta, and some other shops in modern storefronts. Very accessible and clean!

SENSORY OVERLOAD!
Seriously, there is SOO much stuff here, this place is PACKED with goodies for crafting, decorations that you might be overwhelmed by it all at first. Unless you come here often and craft stores are your thing. Me personally, I’m used to getting cheap-​o and standard, limited stock stuff from WalMart if I have to do something artsy. But not here, you can have ANYTHING, completely customized to your liking.
The world is your canvas and this place is your pallet. They have any and everything you can imagine. So this is a PERFECT place for you creative types. Very similar to Hobby Lobby but with a lot more selection IMO. Also this Michael’s is the largest I’ve come across so far. Prices are okay but I can imagine with a project it can add up.
