I normally order a take out so not sure of the slow service that others have mentioned here. But the food is here is very fresh and authentic. I love their aloo paratha(awesome !!), sabudhana kichdi, their samosas, sabudhana vada and vada pav. There are too many Indian choices in Irving now… but only few come close to retaining the taste. And I normally get their Methi parathas in bulk for the week… and I love them since they are made fresh and lasts me 2 – 3 days.

The food was very average. The gobi paratha was horrible. We couldn’t even finish it. The puff and vada pau were okay but given the reviews expected much better. The mango lassi was pretty great though.

I purchased 6 samosas today. The potato inside the samosa was stale. Waste of 6 dollars. We tried each one of them and every Single piece was stale. Won’t recommend anyone this place. Please taste food before buying. You might end up buying stale food.

Rajwadi is a small cafeteria style restaurant located inside the Indian supermarket. It is a smaller Indian grocery store compared to the nearby Taj or IB, however it has a distinct advantage of catering some home-cooked vegetarian snacks and some staple entrees to its patrons. Upon entering the store, it feels pretty small but as you move to the left it somehow opens up to a sizable place surprisingly packed with lot of items. Straight from the entrance is a small cafeteria with about 5 – 6 tables set in a clean rectangular seating area. It has one of the most cheapest priced snacks and other vegetarian food items in the Irving area. Tried their panipuri, papdi chaat and good old-fashioned tea; none of them were worth remembering, distinctly lacking in flavor. They need to make it a little spicier. The thing that I liked about the tea unlike other Indian restaurant is that it comes without sugar so I have the liberty to add as per my need; not like other places where it is overloaded with sugar with wanton disregard to your need or taste. Overall, it is a clean and decent place that I like to grab a snack or $ 1.99 lassi before planting myself at the Valley Ranch Library.

This place opened about 2 ½ years ago and was suggested to me by a colleague. Indeed it was pretty refreshing at first and a great concept: mom and pop style hole in the wall restaurant serving fresh snacks and home-cooked food(read curries, gujarati food etc.), along with the supermarket. The whole idea was this, that the wife of the owner paid attention to the cooking in the kitchen and that made it home-style and fresh. I feel after about an year or two of its opening the place sucks: 1) They have cleverly put up digital menu displaying the food items and the prices keep going up and up, like about 50 cents every 2 months. It seems like you are being ripped off every time you go there. 2) Their quality keeps going down, the curries all taste same, kadai paneer comes with lots of gravy, seems like the same curry paste and just green peppers and paneer added to the gravy instead of paneer and peas for the«mutter paneer». The curries are also very spicy(I prefer mild spices), so this place is not suited for folks who would like to customize their spice level. Pros: Sometimes when you are very hungry and want a quick snack, you can go for Samosas or Dhokla(it is pretty good, if it is freshly prepared). Tell them not to smear it with lots of oil. To me it seems like all goods things, this place has gone down and has settled at an equilibrium point, where the owners have to do something drastic to get the clientele back.

We stopped by this little restaurant for some chaat on a Monday. The Kachori chaat(our first order) was absolutely delicious. This encouraged us to order a few more items off the menu. The Dabheli, aloo tikki, papdi chaat & sabudhana vada weren’t much to speak of. The masala chai was excellent as well. Although I didn’t love the food, I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant to see if you like their fare better.

Fresh. Cleanest indian restaurant in the metroplex. Small place inside a grocery place, but refreshingly relaxing.

Very Homely Vegiterranean food. Everything is good. Must try all the chats, esp Dabeli and Samosa Sandwich. I love the Black Chana curry, Methi Aloo, and Pakoda Kadhi. The Methi Parota is also very good. Srikhand is amazing as dessert.
