Sonic Drive-In

I know Sonic is not a 4-​star white tablecloth restaurant kinda place, but at least it is usually 4-​star in its class. Not this location. The first time I went there and got «sub-​par for Sonic food & service» with part of the order wrong, I figured, «oh well stuff happens» and let it go. I tried it again today, it’s been a couple months so I figured I’d give it another go.
First, they got the order wrong. Then I discovered they had unfortunately given me brown-​colored unflavored fizzy goo instead of a Diet Dr Pepper.
When I called to let the manager know, he exclaimed «I know what happened» and explained they must have taken the sludge (!!!) out of the bottom of the canister and served it to me by mistake. Not sure why they would the empty the bottom of the canister into a medium sized cup, then put a lid on it and fill it with ice, but okay. Then he just did not say anything…
He did not offer to send me a coupon or give me a new one for free when I came back or anything. When I finally asked «well…now what?», he said if I «came back right now» he would give me another one.

FAIL. Not exactly my idea of a fun Friday night, sitting in traffic for 30 minutes to replace a Diet Dr. Pepper.
KIDS: Skip this location. There are plenty of Sonics nearby that would have made things right. Not to mention the other fast food joints. At this one, the bread in my hotdog was stale, the tater tots we’re not done all the way, and of course the coup d’etat, brown fizzy water in place of Dr Pepper.
On the upside, this craptastic taste experience totally cured my Dr. Pepper AND chili cheese dog AND tots habit.
A trifecta.

Let’s be real, it’s not the Sonic from back in the day. …but nonetheless, it’s Sonic.
Order was correct, burger was hot… cranberry spirit was mixed perfectly. But it had about 5 – 6 pickles and I still think their onions are cut in too big of chucks.
My car hopper waitress was nice, she checked back to see if needed anything.
I just sat in my car, listening to music… enjoyed a quick lunch.

The service at this location is horrible. Been sittting in line at drive thru for 20 minutes for a hot dog and tea. One car has moved since i ordered. Do not visit here if you are looking for anything done quickly.

Left the IHOP to come down the street to this Terrible Service! Uggghhhh… I guess this side of Beltline road needs to work on better service! They got my order wrong so I told them to keep it!

I will never get tired of getting the strawberry limeade slush. My all time fave drink. I also like the chocolate milkshake. It’s so thick and creamy. If you like frappuccino coffee, I recommend you the mocha java chiller and you can even add the caramel or chocolate sauce for your preferences. I like this location because is a block down from my house lol very convenient. I know, right? :P

Fast service and cold drinks.

Fourth trip here. I’ve been waiting 18 minutes. For a slushie. I buzzed in to ask about it. That was 6 minutes ago. I was told it would «be right out.» I would have already driven off, but I’ve already paid. In the middle of typing this, it arrived. I understand the time of day it is, and I’ve worked fast food before. It’s wild around 6pm. But 20 minutes for a drink?

Reviewing here because this is the second time I’ve been ripped off at [this] Sonic location. They are serving regular mystery meat (chicken, pork, beef) hotdogs in their «Premium» «All Beef» dogs. I hate regular hotdogs; I only buy all beef dogs at the store. I fairly often order these at other locations and I can definitely tell a difference. Oh, and this time around… no kraut on my New York dogs!
